- Freddie (5/5): Property as described, lovely location, but unfortunately due to hidden costs I wouldn't stay again - The location of this property was exceptional, within walking distance of both the beach and high street. Property itself was in wonderful condition, with good facilities throughout. Was looking for a place to stay around Ayr due to moving to Scotland for work, with this property suiting my requirements. Initially all was as advertised but due to the length of my stay being around a month, I did struggle to find clean bedding in order to change the sheets, naturally as well ran out of toilet roll midway through my stay and had to provide my own as no spares were available.
Confusion arose towards the end of the stay when I was asked by the owner to provide an additional payment towards the cost of the utilities bill, on top of the original cost of the booking. Even though this is not mandated in booking.coms legal policy or T+C's I agreed to the request considering the pleasant stay I had. However when I asked to receive a copy of the invoice, such as the invoice I was provided for the cost of the initial booking for personal financial records, this was met with resistance to provide such information. I am still unclear why would this prove such an issue because just like any other transaction, having evidence of payment is a necessity to both parties. It seemed the only way this would be provided to me was if I completed a 10/10 review, which unfortunately I didn't feel I could do as this would not represent my honest opinion.

- Mary (4/5): No comment. - Garden. Dirty smell, black mould on bath and shower curtain, sofa and chair scratched and old, no spare toilet rolls. Overall - a dump!!
