• Alyssa (10/5): Perfetto! - L’appartamento è bellissimo, pulito, e curato bene. Alberto era molto disponibile e simpatico! Abbiamo pagato l’extra del parcheggio privato e valeva assolutamente la pena. La zona è tranquilla e il centro è facilmente raggiungibile a piedi.

Oltre al fatto che l’appartamento è di una bellezza disarmante (come in foto), sia Alberto che sua Nonna Maria sono stati degli host strepitosi: educati, cortesi, disponibili e super accoglienti! L’appartamento è situato in una delle più delle vie di Catania, vicinissimo alle principali attrazioni del Centro storico. Offre una terrazza (con cucina) meravigliosa! Pulizia e cura del dettaglio da 110 e lode! Super consigliato e raccomandato!

Fabulous host. - We loved the spaciousness, the large living and dining rooms, the abundance of natural light, the gorgeous ceiling frescoes, the beautiful floor tiles, the modern functional kitchen, and the great location. This was one of the best apartments we have stayed in, both in Italy and in other places around the world. I fully recommend staying here and visiting Catania, which has a great vibe and some really interesting things to do and see. There was nothing we did not like.

• Nerijus (10/5): All good - The apartment is very spacious and tidy, equipped with everything you need. There were even welcome treats left for us. The host provided all the necessary information also agreed for the late check-out. We didn’t like the noisy street in the mornings (even with closed windows). Also you need to walk a bit to get to the paid parking (anyway it's better than no parking in that area).

• Emily (10/5): Historic apartment - reckon you won't find similar for this kind of price elsewhere - This is such a beautiful apartment, with lots of living space (unusual for a city apartment) and a good-sized terrace. We didn't even need to use all of it (there was an extra single room and an extra kitchen for the terrace), but it was still really great value for money. It was closer to the historic centre than it looked on the map and there were a number of good restaurants and bars very close by, giving us lots of options for eating both in and out. Minor confusion about how we were meant to get the keys on arrival (we thought someone was going to meet us which wasn't the case) - ended up waiting around for 10 mins until we got it sorted out.

We traveled as a group of frineds, we had separed badrooms with a lot of space and comfort. There are another two floors and beautifil terrace with outdoor kitchen! wich we could not use because of the weather. All the reviews were true! Alberto helped with everything including tips and wellcome present. There is also a great familly restaurant around the corner.
• Abby (10/5): Staying at La Renaissance is like being a guest in a Palazzo. - This spacious apartment with frescoed ceilings has been lovingly restored, with just enough modern touches to make you feel like you are staying in an exclusive boutique hotel. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms, formal dining and living areas, and an additional private and quiet study/relaxation room tucked away on an upper level. The cherry on the cake is a large outdoor roof terrace complete with separate kitchen. The apartment can comfortably accommodate seven guests. It is less than a 20 minute walk into the Piazza Duomo, and the apartment is surrounded by shops, cafes, bars and restaurants, and the Villa Bellini gardens are nearby. It was very handy having the option of a car space nearby (€20/day) as we could retrieve our car for day trips without any stress. Otherwise we explored the city by foot. Alberto was very responsive and gave us clear instructions for accessing the apartment, and helpful local tips and information. This is one of the most beautiful Airbnbs we have stayed at. Alberto was a kind host who guided us through the process of getting into the apartment and made himself readily available for any questions. Once there, we found the apartment spacious, modern, and clean with the most beautifully painted ceilings in all the rooms (my daughter made sure to take pictures of all of them). Everything was in good working order. We also appreciated the plate of Sicilian goodies left for us by Alberto's grandmother. Thanks for a great stay! We would stay here again! Nothing.

Beautiful and comfortable rooms, it was a super nice apartment with many floors. The terrace was amazing - with pretty trees/plants, an extra kitchen area and a seating area. The host Alberto was amazing, he sent us so much info about what to do, where to go and where to eat etc. The apartment was even better in real life than in pics. Easy to access as well. 3 bathrooms, one with a bath, and the other 2 with nice and big showers, which is not very typical on the island. We didn't want to leave the place at all :D. We really felt like we were very welcome there - from the kitchen table we found welcome sweets and water in the fridge. Just amazing! That we stayed too short time :)

• Nicole (10/5): BOOK THIS PLACE IF YOU'RE THINKING ABOUT STAYING IN CATANIA...YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT! - The apartment is HUGE!!!! We only had a party of 3 but this incredible apartment could easily fit 6 adults and a child comfortably. Beautiful parquetry floors, incredibly high ceilings, and so many little touches to add to the overall enjoyment, even some special treats from Nonna Maria (which were DELICIOUS!!). Alberto is an incredible host and sent us some excellent recommendations that we listened to and did not regret! We loved, in particular, the "eat street" Filomena, which is so lively and vibrant! I LOVED Catania and if I am lucky enough to return, I will be 100% staying here again! NB: We inadvertently left with the spare set of keys, we didn't even realise we had them but Alberto was very kind and understanding. Best host we have ever had! I LOVED EVERYTHING

• Ana (10/5): Exceptional - The amazing apartment were we stayed in Catania is in the city centre is very large and modern with high celling reminding me of Renaissance period. The terase is like a small paradise with plants and flowers where you could enjoy drinks and time with family and friends. We stayed for 6 days for a surprise party for one of my family members' and Alberto was very nice and ordered a tasty chocolate cake as a courtesy from his side. He is very prompt in responding to all our questions and recommending splendid visiting locations and quality restaurants. We enjoyed our time there and if I ever come anywhere close to Catania I would definitely come and stay at Alberto's place.

Roof terrace and private parking space is a great bonus. Communication with host was excellent. Lots of useful information and help when needed. Location good for a city break. 20-30 minute walk to main shopping and cathedral square but supermarket and bakery just round the corner for daily supplies. Nothing.

The apartment is very spacious and the decor amazing (you wait till you see the ceilings in the dining room and lounge 😍). They have done a great job restoring it, do check out the album where you can see how it was before and after restoration. • Gerald (10/5): A Truly Exceptional Stay! - First and foremost, the apartment itself was absolutely stunning. It was beautifully decorated, spacious, and had all the amenities one could ask for. The attention to detail was remarkable, and it truly felt like a home away from home. I immediately felt comfortable and at ease upon entering. The apartment was part of a palazo, and in the living area there is a book which shows how it was renovated to its past glory. We were 4 of us and each had his own bedroom and bathroom. The terrace is an added bonus to this property and we had a wonderful afternoon picnic, eating and drinking local products we bought from the market. The location of the apartment was also fantastic. Via Filomena with its vibrant nightlife is very near. For beer lovers - Mosiac is down the road :-) What truly set this stay apart, however, was the exceptional service provided by the hosts. From the moment I made the reservation, Alberto was incredibly responsive and accommodating. He went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was perfect, providing helpful recommendations and making us feel welcome throughout our time there. The restaurant recommendations given by Alberto were spot on. We were also welcomed by a nice 'sweet' gift from the "nonna" which we really apriciated. I must also mention the seamless check-in and check-out process. Alberto provided clear instructions and were readily available to assist with any questions or concerns. If you're looking for a truly exceptional place to stay, I highly recommend booking this apartment. You won't be disappointed! Nothing in particular. Maybe some oil to the hinges of the large wooden doors :-) At night opening the bathroom doors makes you aware of the others sleeping down the corridor.
• Alexis (10/5): Exceptional - La Renaissance was the highlight of our vacation in Sicily. Unfortunately we were only guests for 3 nights in this apartment, which was perfect in every detail. On the lower floor there are three beautiful bedrooms with comfortable double beds, large wardrobes and plenty of space. There are also two very tastefully decorated bathrooms that make you feel at home. The small kitchen is also perfectly equipped and you can enjoy a small breakfast at the counter before exploring the city or the area around Catania. For larger meals, there is a large table in the living/dining room. This room is incredibly beautiful with its large windows, white curtains, high ceilings and stylish lounge corner. All the rooms on this floor have detailed ceiling paintings. And the flooring, which alternates between parquet and tiles, is a dream. And then there's a cute little floor with a single bedroom and another bathroom with a bathtub, a sitting area, ... and as we write this, we already want to fly there again. Thank you so much for this wonderful time and the many helpful tips for our vacation. We felt right at home. Absolutely nothing.

• Oldřich (10/5): Fantastic accomodation in the centre of Catania - Apartment is enormous, with nice equipment and furniture - literal palace. There are several bathrooms - ideal for bigger group of guests. It's situated near the city centre and comes with a garage, few minutes away. Owners Maria and her grandson Alberto are great hosts, super helpful and were willing to aid us with anything. I would definitely recommend it for everyone coming to Catania. Nothing negative at all.

A microwave oven would have been very helpful.

The kitchen was well stocked. The washing machine was excellent. The beds and linen were very comfortable and cool. Despite being stuck in a 43 degree Celsius heat wave, the apartment stayed very cool and was a haven to retreat to in the heat.

• Jagruti (10/5): Stunning apartment, unforgettable stay - The apartment is stunning, it is the most beautiful apartment we have ever stayed in! It is like a Renaissance museum but with all the modern amenities. The owners have done such an amazing job with decor and facilities. Every room was so nice and loft space upstairs was wonderful as well as the rooftop patio. We felt so special our whole stay here. Alberto left us treats from a local bakery, which we looked up and visited often during our stay. The location is in a very nice part of town, has a parking spot a little a block away. The showers were the largest we encountered in all of Italy. We made use of the clothes washer. All the rooms were huge, lots of closet space, and super comfy beds. Lots of shops, cafes and restaurants nearby. It's about 15 minute walk to the center of town. Alberto was great with communication and advice. If you have the chance, stay here, you will love it! Loved EVERYTHING - did not want to leave.
• Stephen5280 (10/5): The Perfect Blend of Classic and Modern - The best residence we've ever rented in Europe! The apartment is beautifully restored, and has all the class of its history. The tile floors are original, enhanced by newer hardwoods. The kitchen is modern and updated, with every needed pan, pot, cup, and tool. The baths are spa-like quality and totally modern and spacious. Plenty of room for 6-footers, too! The corner unit opens out onto the city, with gorgeous original double doors. The "surprise" loft and extra bedroom is perfect for kids. And the gigantic terrace is peaceful and quiet. But the best part of La Renaissance is the hosts! Maria and Alberto greeted us like family; left us delicious treats from the local bakery; and even "walked us" over to a preferred restaurant nearby. They made recommendations for places to eat, attractions to visit, ways to get around the city - everything. It was truly like being hosted by "family," and we've NEVER had a better experience. Best value ever as well!!! The streets of Catania are narrow and crazy and difficult to drive, but that's not an issue with the apartment. And it COMES with a nearby parking space, which was maybe the best thing of all.

In addition to the large room - dining room with living room, there are three double bedrooms and one single, separate kitchen and a huge terrace. We felt great during our stay. -

Recommending it with all our heart! - The flat is absolutely amazing - beautiful architecture, nicely curated pieces of furniture, with modern touches (bathroom, kitchen) for the guests’ confort. We loved every detail! Kitchen is well equipped; you also have washer, dish washer, hair dryer. The hosts are such kind people - available at all times for our questions, helping with recommendations for restaurants and nice places to visit. All their reccommendations were great and highly appreciated. They even waited for us with a homemade cake! To sum up, this accommodation made our visit to Catania great and we totally recommend it. -
• Angelica (10/5): A glorious hidden gem in Sicilia - Stunning city centre apartment! Enormous care and effort have been taken to transform these lodgings to something simply magical. Regal, quality furnishings, large noble spaces, and of course, the intricate hand-painted ceilings all throughout the apartment contributed to our 5* stay. But what really stood out was the service!! They were very accommodating with all our requests. We were so warmly welcomed by the owner's grandmother Nonna Maria. A lovely, elegant lady who exuded so much kindness that it more than compensated for her less than perfect English. But fear not - communication was certainly not an issue. The owner Alberto's English was impeccable. More importantly - Alberto was proactive with providing us detailed tips for everything from parking, restaurants, tours, etc. And they were so generous and thoughtful - having stocked the kitchen with fruit, local snacks and bottled water for my family and I. In sum, should your travels take you to Catania, do not hesitate in booking La Renaissance Only that we couldn't stay much longer...... La Renaissance was truly one of the best accommodations we have ever booked.
• Șerban (10/5): A beautiful experience at La Reinassance - ++ the apartment is quite spectacular: it is freshly renovated, clean and really cozy ++ Alberto - the host - is kind and extremely helpful ++ the location is really cool if you are in town for leisure (incl. lots of restaurants and cafés in the proximity of the apartment) ++ the apartment is equipped with everything you need for a few days’ trip ++ really quiet neighbourhood and lots of parking spots nearby Our experience was super positive, so we really have nothing negatively to say about the property.

Wonderfull city vie - The property we have rented has totally fulfilled our expectations. Great modern style with Renaissance accents made me and my family impressive. Marvellous ceiling paints emphasize beautifulness not only of the Catania city however also entire Sicily history and ancient influences. Entire place is prepared in a good manner. Level of comfort is high. Bedrooms are ergonomically organized. Beds comfortable and clean. Bathrooms very clean and sanitized. Kitchen ready to cooking activity. Nearby climatic market place, deliver all necessary articles. Also Social taste of Sicilian life with fresh articles like fish caught in the early morning and all veggie goodies. I strongly recommend this place for all purposes of travel. Hosts are very professional in their attitude. They support every query and provide all necessary items to make the stay unforgettable.
