Guest Reviews
- Ryan (10/5): - Excellent location and amenities Plates
- Merry (7/5): Was a good stay in general, be better if everything worked - Location, spacious Blinds didn’t work, balcony dirty, tv connection to utube didn’t work properly, lack of instructions to operate oven & stove top , remote didn’t work for car park gate- so spent 2 hrs trying to deal with that. Only got one key-had to organise 2nd key once there.
- Selu (10/5): First & Last - Room was as shown The carpark was a headache. Ppl unwilling to help. The blinds didn't go down in the lounge so the sun would always be beaming in.
No access to the pool throughout the 6days stay.
It's poorly organized. Garage remote didn't work. Went back to get another. We wasted more time trying to find the basement parking and the pool than enjoy our holiday
Walls in the apartment are very thin. Neighbors are snobby. Only 2 ppl were helpful at one point and let us into the pool cos the key didn't work at all. Both keys.
- Russell (5/5): - Location No pool access poor instructions and not clean
- Sarah (3/5): -
- Christopher (5/5): Location was good unit was pretty good, but the owners lack a bit off organisation skllls the key was not where they sai - Location was great and the unit was big Lack off organisation!!
- Emily (9/5): Just stayed the night for a concert and had fun - Little shop was open and staff were friendly and informative All was good wouldn’t change a thing
- Isabella (4/5): Quite dirty , facilities were old and needs maintenance - We liked the location of the apartment
- donna (9/5): - fob worked, but the key didn't fit the door
- Micheal (5/5): - It was close to all the shops good size apartment No check in instructions (had to call staff to find out information)
Didn't get and information about WiFi or how to open/shut the blinds untill the day before we were leavin
The dryer and washing machine both leaked water when used
- Mandy (3/5): Dirty - I got out of treatment and just needed somewhere to sleep so it was fine for that. Kids toys behind things. Not clean in general but there was dirt on walls and couch. Broken window and blinds. We didn't use the second bathroom because there was blood on the wall.
- Byambaa (6/5): I would suggest only for people who are more important location. - the location all towels were wet and unprepared.
- O'Beirne (9/5): -

- Elliott (8/5): Eventful Event - Beautiful unit, nice and clean and comfortable Car park is atrocious. We drove around for an hour. Couldn't call for help cause no phone service in carpark. Had to drive back out to call owner for better directions to our parking space. Got to Basement level 2 looking for our space but numbers on car spaces are not in any sequence, so drove around and around again looking for it. Finally found it. Couldn't get lift to work by pressing buttons on remote. Apparently had to swipe. Finally got to unit. Beautiful unit but kitchen rubbish bin hadn't been emptied and no bed side lamps in bedrooms. Some of the blinds won't roll up with remote. Instructions in email said to either leave key on kitchen bench or take back to grocery store. I decided to take them with me to car. WOW we needed the remote to get back out of secured carpark. What would have happened if I left them in unit as instructed. Then got to grocery store at 9am to drop key off but they didn't open until 10am. Lucky lady who works there came to shop just past 9am. She didn't want to take keys (another lady was there to drop hers off too). I said to her that she either takes them or i take them home. The other lady forced her keys into her hand so then I made her take mine too. She wanted us to come back when they opened at 10am. What an event. Carparking needs more signs for direction. There is even no signs showing you where exit is other than ON the exit ramp. Pity about all the confusing parts about parking the car because unit itself is beautiful.
- Jane (10/5): -
- Judith (9/5): Otherwise very central area, grocery store, coffee shop and restaurant: parking good. - Had trouble working out where it was, plus the key and remote wasn’t in the Asian grocery store. Had to phone and wait for a key to get in: 1.5 hours to finally get into apartment.
- Daniel (7/5): Good location, nice apartment and suited our requirements - the location was good for our needs, within walking of near by restaurants and bars there was no signage for the property so was confusing as to hwo i was going to get in, then they rang and i noticed i had a email with some instructions to pick up the key fob from an Asian grocery
Got the fob but there was only one as the previous guests had lost the second one.
The the pin to get itno the apartment was 8 digits which i thought was a bit over the top.
- Tara (6/5): beds were really comfortable. lovely view and great central location for us. - The instructions for car parking were very confusing. The car park slots are not in order so clear instructions are important eg. 1103/1 car space is on level B2 against the wall near the lifts.
The checkout instructions also need to be clearer as we left the key in the room as instructed and then couldn't get to our car. Just maybe state that you need the key to bet to the bassement and out of the carpark then return it to the room if before 10am.
- Sharon (7/5): It was a great location!! - Great location and quiet building. Beds were really comfortable too. We had a bit of trouble finding the exact building. No one in the area could tell us which building room 1103/1 was located. It took us an hour to find the room and the carpark numbers were in no particular order. Very confusing. Took us half hour to find the correct carpark. Another lady advised us it took her 3 days to find her carpark. Clearer directions would be good.
- Yvonne (9/5): -
- Aditi (7/5): -
- Brandon (10/5): will be my go to in act now, for price and where it is, for everything included and the comfort of the home, 10/10 a - Absolutely stunning property will be my go to from now on, stayed in this a while back now and finally found it again, what a beautiful home. the elevator can be a tad confusing if you don’t pay attention you can get confused but you get the hang of it
- Rachel (9/5): Worth money and will book again - Spacious and comfortable. Handy location and free parking. Comfortable beds
- Jasmine (10/5): Breathtaking view - Close to hospital I felt very safe
- Tracy (7/5): -
- Phillip (8/5): - Great location easy walking distance to main shopping facilities, short walk to where I had vehicle booked in for service. Finding allocation of car parking spot bit confusing for me, but managed to find it eventually.
- Andrew (7/5): - The king bed mattress was very comfortable. The noise of wind was loud because a window did not close fully in the lounge room and also noise of building ventilation was loud in the main bedroom.
- dean (6/5): -
- Kathy (9/5): -
- Trevor (8/5): -
- susan (9/5): perfect - location and appartment was perfect
- ANTHONY (8/5): Location - The location was perfect for where we were playing our competition The blinds were broken, and this feedback was already high up. Everyone can see you from other accommodations. Privacy important not met this time needs fixing. Then it would be 10/10.
- Chippindale (8/5): -
- hong an (1/5): - my kid got hurt from the door of bathrom
- Tammy (2/5): Too difficult to access. - We unfortunately did not get to see the property and had to stay elsewhere because logistically it was challenging to find the key pickup location and there was like an 8 step process to locate the shop to pickup the key and then locate parking location to then walk a deal to pickup the to then walk back to find the apartment complex and it was just so challenging even with the GPS we were going in circles. An 8 step procedure to access an air BnB is too much. Hosts were notified and to their defence they did include their contact information in case we had any issues and I suspect that is because others have had trouble locating the site also. Not a great choice for anyone who can’t walk distances.
- Levitski (6/5): Pleasant - Good location Loud noisey and no coffee, no tea or sugar.the place hadn't been cleaned for months. Really difficult to get in our out
- Kylie (8/5): Very convenient location . -
- Vinnie (8/5): Very good - All of it Nothing
- Debra (10/5): Exceptional - Very comfortable easy and secure access
- Gail (1/5): Bad - Beds were comfortable and warm. 1. Unable to close a window in the living room. Windy and 3 degrees, so we froze.
2. Curtains hanging off the tracks and very ratty blinds in the living room. Very damaged and dirty paint work throughout.
3. Very bad instructions for parking. Could have been a simple 3 to 4 lines.
4. We tried to ask the owners about the broken window winder. The response took 3 hours, and the problem was not resolved.
5. This was not a cosy or pleasant apartment.
- Alofa (7/5): Good -
- Reagan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Donna (6/5): The room wasn't very clean -
- Ryan (1/5): Bad -
- Paul (4/5): We booked for 2 nights stayed one as we were piised off chasing people to get information refund req - emails from booking.com late in coming , no instructions re key pick up , not able to get in on time in fact took 2 hours from 2pm to 4pm to work out what was going on , no return phone calls from booking .com we were completely in the dark very frustrating and very unprofessional from both lux and booking.com
- Kylie (4/5): Disappointing - This is not a hotel room, it's an airbnb. Both shower heads dont stay in holders. Only 1 out of 7 blinds worked, no milk.
Very clean.
- Jeanie (1/5): Never book here again - It was a nightmare to try park to run in just to get the keys, I had arrived early after a long drive and hoped on the off chance room would be ready a hour early, it wasn’t, I went away came back just over half a hour later still not ready, come back right on 2pm still no keys I called and left messages for a eta on when keys might be ready, no response after almost another hour of sitting and driving around in the heat, we had decided to just drive the rest of the 3 hour trip home, I messages owner and advised that we had given up waiting no response at all,
- Wendy (6/5): Location suited our needs but don’t think we’d stay there again. - Good location for our needs (family party nearby) Very clean but not quite “Luxe” the apartment needs a lot of TLC and general repairs.
- Jasmine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cleo (8/5): Comfortable and well-equipped - Comfortable, easy and well equipped, with excellent hosts. Shower heads and blinds in the apartment need to be repaired.
- Jan (9/5): Great value for money, modern, comfy beds, 2 bathrooms and amazing views! - Modern decor, great views, clean and Enoch room for 2 adults, two grown teens. Had everything we needed, however as per previous reviews, 2 electric blinds in the lounge room didn’t work. But not a big deal.
- Joshua (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ethell (9/5): Was easy and accessible with free parking. A great stay would recommend. -
- Peter (8/5): Very good -
- Hoai (10/5): Exceptional -
- Louis (8/5): Very good -
- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional - The location was great. Amenities like the pool and spa were fabulous for the kids! Parking was a bit tricky, but host was great with detailed instructions.
- Cassandra (8/5): Very good -
- Paul (8/5): Very good -
- Stuart (8/5): Very good -
- Cassandra (9/5): Superb -
- Deb (8/5): Very good -
- Adam (7/5): Good - Location and price. The unit was comfortable No coffee or sugar there. The blinds were damaged so looked a bit scrappy
- P (8/5): Very good -
- Helen (10/5): Exceptional - This apartment is excellent. It has everything you could possibly want, including access to facilities like swimming pool and kids' play room. Supermarket and restaurants are right downstairs. Huge windows with views of lake & hills. We had a very comfortable stay! Location was perfect for us as visiting family in Belconnen, but just to note it's not central for main Canberra attractions.
Instructions for using appliances would be helpful (esp. automatic blinds).
- Houssam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pamela (9/5): convenient, comfortable accommodation close to UC, AIS and Belconnen town centre - every thing was close by and easy directions to parking! Would be helpful just to say up front that the park is on the bottom level then go into turnright 5 times etc. Also mention that gate in car park is operated by the apartment key :)
- Michael (6/5): Pleasant - location was good no breakfast could not operate all blinds in the lounge room ( broken cords )
shower head holder in the main bedroom was broken
- Mark (3/5): Disappointing trying to spoil yourself and spending a weeks pay for 2 night Luxe stay, that wasn't! - Pool, gym and location was good Directions too unit/parking were bad, took 20 min to actually work it out and get to a parking spot. unit not ready, had to wait after a 10hr drive in hot hallway for 38 minutes, then couldn't leave for another 40 min while cleaners went and dried linen for them to return it. Bathroom was not clean, other peoples hair every where and dirty nappies in bin. Towels in bathroom had make-up all over them, were they even washed? Glasses in kitchen were dirty, had to wash all that we wanted to use first. Couch was badly stained, & 1 kitchen chair to dodgy to sit on. Then owner called to see if floor guy could come and measure at 11 am next day as he was ringing the door bell ! Obviously doing renovations, a heads up would have been nice. Not Luxe when we stayed.
- Rick (6/5): Pleasant - The building facilities like the gym, pool etc were amazing No coffee, no tea, wind noise was dreadful, shower head broken, balcony door lock broken, shelf under the sink collapsed, clothes dryer leaks water all over. I asked two questions prior to check-in and both were ignored.
- Larcombe (5/5): Passable -
- Diane (8/5): Our stay was enjoyable and we were pleased to have stayed at this great location - Spacious, lovely outlook, great location near the lake … great walks, convenient to shops and restaurants The many window coverings (automatic) in the main room did not work (open or close) at all… when we conveyed this, we were told they were due to be repaired the next day … but that didn’t happen and we didn’t hear anymore about them …
Somewhat inconvenient but didn’t spoil our stay
- Lynette (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alun (8/5): Luxe0 - Convenient locstion with everything nearby. No complaints.
- Kim (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nikki (10/5): Great stay, will definitely use again - Clean, tidy, comfortable and well equipped. Comprehensive instructions & communication. Terrific location. Able to make bedrooms nice and dark. Quiet area and secure access and parking
- Scott (7/5): Good -
- Clare (6/5): Perfect for a family or friends to visit Canberra. It’s close to everything - The location and the apartment was clean and fresh and had all we needed The parking was a bit of a mission and collecting the keys but I figured out
- Deb (7/5): Could Improve - Good location. Well documented instructions for check in & parking though did not receive until late despite asking twice. Pick up & drop off of keys dodgy. Shop does not open until 10am (even later when we left) which means we had to wait around. Option of leaving fob in apartment was cumbersome due having to get car out then return to apartment. Why can't shop have external drop box? Broken blinds in lounge. Bit miserly with some supplies.
- Tesinlo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Laurissa (2/5): Very poor - The apartment was stylish. The views were interesting. The pool was nice. The worst part of our stay is the directions I got the morning of my stay via email. The instructions to check in were quite difficult to understand. Key pick up was from an Asian grocery store. Parking spot was difficult to find. We finally got to the room and the pin didn’t work. Someone came to help us get in but it was an intense start to our stay after the long drive. No milk for tea or coffee. Stains all over the lounge and carpet. Opened cakes of soap rather than liquid soap in the ensuite . Not very clean. Table and floors were pretty sticky.
- Katharina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Angela (8/5): Very good -
- Colleen (1/5): Bad -
- David (3/5): Don’t bother - The unit itself had nice views Really appalling communication. I was never giving any instructions on how to get to the place until the night of my stay. Usually air bnb in previous stays I’ve received communications at least a week before, since leaving from Tasmania to Canberra, I was concerned about the instructions. On arrival of 1 Grazier Lane, nobody anywhere, the Abode, had heard of Luxe apartments, the number I had from Booking .com was an American. Umber, a second number was a Real estate , who had never heard of Luxe Apartments. Bye this time I thought I was being scammed. I booked the apartment in March, the money was taken out immediately ( red flag). I had to stay at another hotel, as soon as I got onto my internet, I got an Email’s, (7;days late) I suppose to pick up the keys from the Asian Grocery. That was ok, then the horror instructions to find the car park was another night mare. Then finally got a mobile number, after a few attempts somebody called me back. No code for the door. Also didn’t get code for the wifi until the Sunday. Not a good stay I wouldn’t recommend due to terrible communication which costs me double , due to unable to find the apartments for the first night
- Christine (5/5): Great location. Not great for business travellers. - Location and access to restaurants and supermarket. Views Stained carpets and furniture, carpet missing in patches, no ironing board, soap/shampoo dispensers there but not filled, did not feel really clean.
- Anita (10/5): Exceptional -
- Toni (5/5): Passable - Unit was not maintained blinds broken carpet stained carpet missing
- Simone (1/5): Bad -
- Emily (1/5): Bad - The check in and check out process was very difficult and unnecessarily complicated. The apartment was also is not luxe like the description it seemed to be partially renovated
- Nathan (5/5): If the room was as nice as the owner everything would have been great. - Chris was very accommodating with the issues we experienced.
Chris organised tea, coffee and milk to be dropped off even though it wasn't meant to be supplied when I asked where it was.
Chris organised a handyman to fix the loose shower head (I tightened it up with tools I had in my car before he arrived)
TV in the lounge room. Cleanliness in general, stained carpet, cutlery dirty, bathrooms dirty.
Carpet missing in the main bedroom.
Only 2 seats for the outdoor table.
Shower head in the Bathroom was loose and unusable (I tightened it up with tools I had in my car)
Masking tape on the carpet and ceiling around the concrete pillar in the loungeroom.
Photos on Booking.com do not even resemble the apartment we booked.
Requested early check-in when we booked (11am), were told on the day we couldn't because the cleaner wouldn't be finished until 1pm, once checked in we're not sure what they had actually taken so long to clean because it looked as though it hadn't been cleaned at all.
- Rosemary (9/5): Great price for a clean, comfortable and convenient accommodation! I shall be recommending this one. - So convenient and close to everything :-)
- Danielle (10/5): Will definitely be back - Close to everything. Very nice apartment. Nothing
- Alison (9/5): Excellent apartment, central and spacious. - The apartment was spacious. I am a frequent traveller to Canberra and usually stay at Belconnon but this was my first time here. It was easy to find, park and access. The blinds appear to be controlled by a remote but we could only get it to raise and lower 2 blinds. The sun through the lounge room windows was bright and hot and we wished we could have lowered the blinds.
- Colin (6/5): Pleasant - Lots of stains on carpet and bedding
- Kathy (7/5): Good -
- Parry (8/5): Our stay was most pleasant and in a great location will consider it again as a future venue - Location Nothing
- Darren (10/5): Exceptional -
