Guest Reviews
- Wendy (9/5): -
- Mardi (7/5): Clean comfy and quiet but double beds in small bedrooms. - Very clean and spacious in living areas. Tiny bedrooms. An inventory of glassware and crockery wouldn’t go astray plus what is it about the lack of tea towels?
- Kate (8/5): -
- Diane (10/5): - Quiet comfortable clean and close to the main street Na
- Peter (9/5): -
- Team Ji (7/5): - Size of room and shower was great Noisy air-conditioning no coffee or tea
- Susan (8/5): - Location carport Only 2 towels for 4 guesta
- Thomas (10/5): - Great appartement, spacious, nothing missing
- Team Ji (8/5): Work trip Longreach - Location Air con noisy, has a notice in the apartment saying enjoy complimentary food and drink in fridge and there was nothing in fridge. No coffee or tea in apartment
- Sharon (10/5): Great apartment just clean abit more throughout on finer details - Location, really nice unit with everything you need great stay, bed very comfy but forgot to put pillowcase on 1 pillow. Finer details for cleaning, cobwebs not removed and trays in oven were rusty, sink needs to be scrubbed and air vent full of dust in bathroom
- christine (6/5): - Liked the location and spaciousness of unit The kitchen was not clean and there were not enough utensils
- Nicholas (10/5): -
- Larry (6/5): -
- Tina (3/5): Spacious but no other niceties about it. - It was spacious No email communication of how to check in to collect the keys from the tavern beforehand. I tried calling a dozen times during the day and no one answered or called back prior to check in.
It wasn’t clean, there was spiders everywhere in the corners. The cupboards/drawers weren’t clean. There was no top sheets on the beds. Only a quilt with a cover. But the sheets and covers were all crushed and not presented nicely. There was no extra blankets or pillows. And the main air conditioner in the lounge room had no remote and you couldn’t adjust it or turn it off as it was cool. Towels were stained.
The unit looked nothing like the photos online.
- Zhaofeng (7/5): - 房间较大、干净、安静 在The Longreach Tavern 办理Check in,虽然距离很近,但是需要打电话问地址,不太方便
- Anna (10/5): - It was clean, well equipped, close to the centre of town, spacious
Appreciated the washing machine and clothesline. The floor was quite bouncy.
- Jacqueline (8/5): -
- Maureen (10/5): The unit was like a home away from home, everything was there that’s was needed & the beds were super comfortable - So very clean & comfortable Nothing

- Lyne (6/5): - We arrived at the property at the time we indicated to find there was no reception area. We waited hoping someone would show up. We then tried phoning with the call going through to voice mail. After waiting 45 minutes with no call back we drove to the Longreach Tavern. Finally we obtained the keys from Paul with no apology and were told that we should have known that we had to check-in via the Tavern as it was "on the web site". There was no indication of this in the booking confirmation email, or when I phoned to check on something else, nor on the website that I can find. The kitchen and bathroom drawers were very grubby and the drawers in the bathroom contained grubby empty glass jars. On the kitchen bench were three grubby jars, one of which contained one tea bag. I presume these were meant to contain tea, coffee and sugar. However, we did appreciate having a washing machine and washing powder provided - but no pegs so could not hang washing out to dry.
- MICHAEL (10/5): -
- Tahnee (8/5): Home away from home. Would be great for a longer term stay also. Will stay again. - Large two bedroom house with open plan kitchen/dining/ lounge. One room close to bathroom and the other at opposite end. This was ideal as we were scheduled for a hospital stay and the bathroom being close provided some privacy for that guest from the other. Covered off street parking. Everything we needed at a great price.
- Chantel (7/5): -
- Tim (7/5): An older style cottage not quite as good as in the pictures - We were surprised to find that this property was an older style cottage not an apartment. It was next door to more modern units that had a Longreach Private Apartment sign, but neither had reception advice so we had to ring and go to the hotel. Quite confusing after a long drive. Inside the cottage had plenty of space and the bonus was a washing machine and the shower was great. The kitchen goods were very basic, no oven dishes, no bowls big enough to use for mixing or a salad. Only one bedside table in each bedroom and the air conditioner in the bedroom didn't work. The bed was only made with sheets and although warmer bedding was in the cupboard it was mismatched. A bit more attention to detail would have made it a much more comfortable stay.
- Trinette (10/5): -
- Taboko (8/5): it was a great experience - it was comfortable
- Hasimani (8/5): Second time there and best half way rest stop for me on the way to Brisbane! - Staff were exceptional.
- David (8/5): -
- Gaynor (8/5): Nice spot - Comfortable sleep Nothing
- Mario (9/5): Good comfortable stay for one night - Very roomy Low water pressure in the shower
- Fiona (5/5): - Spacious Dirty bathroom and the oven didn't work
- Khloe (7/5): -
- Mark (6/5): Could have been better with facilities and service - Location, space Aircon, lack of responsiveness to requests, kitchen facilities poor ( no decent sized dinner plates)
- Shane (1/5): No Accommodation ready - Nil No accommodation ready for my stay.
No communication.
Stayed at the Albet Motel, very friendly staff.
- Annette (10/5): I would highly recommend these private apartments to anyone. Was pleasantly surprised. My husband and I have stayed in m - Everything actually. I was able to do washing and hang them out because you guys provided pegs.
- Allison (10/5): - The hosts showed generosity and drove us to the accomadation NA
- ELLEN (8/5): -
- Craig (10/5): -
- Peter (6/5): - Cleanliness was poor
- Shelley (9/5): Roomy accommodation in a great location - Very roomy and clean. Well appointed with plenty of cooking items and cutlery. Comfy lounge and dining table. The air con was amazing,it kept the place at a comfortable 24 degrees even tho it was 43 outside, and still allowed for open windows and fresh air we loved it. Beds were comfy, heaps of wardrobes etc. Location was two minute walk to a great pub for food and three minute walk to centre of town. Highly recommend for couples or groups of adults travelling together. Covered car parking for one car available, two cars will fit just not under cover. Would stay again. Only thing I didn't like was the bathroom door handle was an absolute pain to open and close, needs fixing .
- Sandra (9/5): - Very clean, comfortable beds, good range of kitchen utensils if you were staying for a while. Bathroom well stocked with an array of toiletries. Nice quiet area. Very comfortable accommodation, would stay again if in Longreach Nothing, was all good
- Maria (8/5): Very reasonably priced and roomy place for a few days exploring the delights ofLingreach - Qantas Founders Museum, Stock - The apartment is roomy, good off-street parkjng, a washing machine and full kitchen. Air conditioning worked well during extreme heat outside. A few little things need attention - broken toilet seat, dirty exhaust fan in bathroom, a bit of mould in the shower.
- murray (6/5): -
- Charlotte (10/5): It was great!!! - The comfort of the rooms Checking in was a little bit difficult on the website it said I was in a different room to what I was in
- Shawn (10/5): Awesome stay - This place was outstanding for the price. Clean, spacious, and such a welcome treat after a massive day of driving.
Honestly we overlooked this place twice over our last 2 times passing through Longreach, opting for motels..... Massive mistake Nothing
- Nancy (10/5): Great long weekend .. will be back - Very comfortable and clean
- mionnet (10/5): -
- Eero (8/5): - Many problems with WIFI. AC did’nt work in bedrooms at all!
- Dave (10/5): Great apartments in Longreach in a convenient location - A very well prepared and clean apartment in a great location. Very spacious for the 3 of us with no complaints at all. Would definitely recommend these apartments and would stay there again without hesitation. Nothing, everything was perfect.
- Jeanette (6/5): Great location - check in a disaster. - The location was great. I emailed the day before to advise of our check in time and received no response. I called on arrival and received no response. Others were also there trying to check in and we finally managed to speak to someone at the Tavern.
The trees from the neighbouring property were over the driveway and we had to drive onto the grass to avoid the car being scratched. The outside of the cabin was covered in cobwebs and so too the windows/fly screens. We received the invoice to pay a week after we had been there! Clearly there is a problem.
- Sally (10/5): - Spacious
- Tanya (6/5): - Generally well appointed. Lack of information prior to arrival about which cabin was booked and how to access. No one answered calls and had to figure out way to contact vendor. The location wasn't particularly convenient if you didn't have a vehicle or mobility issues.
- Geoff (8/5): -
- Jane (6/5): It served a purpose, but it was certainly average at best - The location was geared with the town centre in easy walking distance. The air conditioner in one of the bedrooms didn’t work and the fan sounded like a jet engine. There were cobwebs in every room. The toilet kept running and we found it necessary to turn it off between flushes. Despite advertising that the staff were only a phone call away, when I called the message box was full. I tried to send text messages and I am yet to have a response to any one of them
- Annette (9/5): The property had everything we needed for our stay. - The property was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed in the kitchen and bathroom.
Under cover parking for the car was unexpected.
- Maria (10/5): - Great place to stay, beautiful amenities and a huge space. Only issue was communication, no confirmation details or detail on how to access the apartment. Then trying to call, it would go through to a full voicemail box. Had to knock on other doors to figure out what to do as there is no front office or reception.
- Allan (8/5): -
- Paul (8/5): - Nice stay everything you need is there. Well priced
- Clare (6/5): Love Longreach but would probably stay elsewhere next time - Location was great
Fully self contained cabin with designated parking Probably don’t have the right amount of staff to clean it to an appropriate level
- Eyre (9/5): -
- Cheryl (10/5): A comfortable central hub to see and enjoy all of the outings in the area. - Very comfortable and clean and modern. Everything was good
- Karen (10/5): Awesome - Exceptional facilities and service. Will be recommending
- John (8/5): Longreach - Great location, clean and tidy Arrived there, unmanned site, so rang number to find out which unit we were in, told in message someone would ring back. No, they didn't and we were there three days, poor.
Discovered they are run from Longreach Tavern, so had to drive there to find out what unit we were in.
- Kerry (7/5): Apart from above OK - ?? No Supply of Toilet Paper. No Blanket on bed??
- Roger (9/5): Apartments spacious, clean and walking distance to main street - N/a N/a
- Daddow (8/5): -
- David (9/5): Very comfortable and enjoyable - The location was great a short walk to cbd, the apartment was very spacious and well equipped, Great shower, fully equipped kitchen. Very clean and modern The key collection was not obvious as there is no reception at the property. I had to ring the tavern associated with the property to be told that we were in apartment 1 with door unlocked and the key on the table. This information would better provided by email or SMS before arrival. The number I called went straight to voicemail with no return call. After a long day on the road, you need better communication than having to chase a key. Tip ring before you arrive
- Jerry (8/5): -
- Michael (10/5): Highly recommended. - Spacious and very clean. Easy to find and not far from shops and the RSL. Well appointed kitchen and laundry. Nice quiet area of town. N/A
- Peter (9/5): -
- Sue-ellen (6/5): Lovely cabin just a shame about the bedding - Most things were great No Donna on the bed and light weight blankets in the cupboard put on two woke up at 4 freezing so had to go in spare room for a third we do not sleep with air conditioning on as we have sinus issues
- Alice (6/5): -
- Mark (9/5): -
- Anna (10/5): -
- Mark (7/5): Good location and very roomy. - Roominess and welcome drinks. Bathroom cleanliness. Missing a/c remote.
- kevin (5/5): -
- Debbie (9/5): -
- Mareva (9/5): Perfect for our short stay but would also work well for a week. - Very spacious and well equipped as well as central. The weather was not always good so to have a lot of space to move around was great. It was very quiet too. It could have been cleaner: dust and bathroom.
- Theresa (8/5): - Nice location modern and spacious Checking in was a the local pub and we hadn’t received instructions on that. Beds were a bit uncomfortable
- Clark (10/5): - Provided undercover parking too difficult to access .
Uncovered section with say shade cloth would be better.
- Peter (8/5): - We stayed in a 2bdr apartment which had everything we needed including a washing machine inside. The apartment was a short walk to town and was very quiet.
- margaret (10/5): -
- Victoria (8/5): Good location and very spacious. Good for 2 couples or a family. - Whole cottage, and very spacious. Kitchen was very well set up, although saucepans were a bit scratched and could be replaced. Short walk to town. Carport. Had laundry facilities although we didn't use them. Good heating. Main bedroom was quite small. No bedside table for person on left and very squeezy to walk between bed and wardrobe.
No instructions sent regarding check in - called numbers but no answer. Eventually worked it out. No dishwasher. At $233 per night I would expect a dishwasher. Good price for a family but we were only a couple.
- Heather (9/5): It was exactly what we were looking for - Individual units so no neighbour noise
- Mark (8/5): Overall Enjoyed my stay. - Reasonably good location, close to the railway station and about a 10 minute walk up to the maim street . Was a good 35 minute flat walk to the Qantas Founders Museum and Stockman’s Hall of Fame. Clean facility. No one available / on-site at the property upon arrival or departure - this was not communicated. I rang the number via booking.com only to find out that the apartments are managed ( and I assume owned ) by Longreach Tavern. Once I spoke to them there was no issues.
Was quite cold during my stay and one of the heaters did not work.
- DIANA (8/5): -
- Graham (9/5): -
- Jane (9/5): - Helpful staff. Comp items. Comfy bed. Needed a good clean and maybe a bit of an update.
- Tony (8/5): Very enjoyable stay and close to town - Well located Small bedroom
- sashi (10/5): - Perfect
- Barbara (9/5): -
- Lorraine (7/5): Apartment was well appointed and was great for a 4 night stay. Think we were just unlucky with hou - N/a Housekeeping was slack. No clean dishwasher. No tea towels. No dishwashing and hand washing detergent. No laundry detergent. Floor hadn’t been washed in a while as our feet were filthy.
Some maintenance was also needed.
- Carol (7/5): -
- Annette (7/5): -
- Helen (7/5): Great location to station for the avid train traveller! - The Longreach Private Apartments – Cabins – are ideally located close to the main street, restaurants, and the train station, with the Qantas Museum just a comfortable 20-minute walk away. Each cabin offers a full kitchen and laundry, making them perfect for longer stays or families. The shower was excellent, the bedding comfortable, and the overall setting quiet and restful during my stay. While the property was comfortable and well located, communication around the check-in procedure and key access could be improved—particularly given the absence of onsite reception. A follow-up confirmation after the initial booking would help guests feel better prepared. Supplying a tea towel and a few additional cleaning products would assist with general upkeep. The spare pillows lacked covers, making them unusable. These small issues didn’t detract from the overall experience, though improvements in check-in communication and cleaning checks- particularly in the bathroom and under furniture- would enhance the overall guest experience, strengthening their overall appeal.
- Ann (6/5): - Lack of communication with regards key retrieval. Some areas could do with better cleaning.
Wifi very hit and miss
- Gary (8/5): Overnight stay in Longreach - Good location, very quiet, neat and tidy. Comfortable bed and lounge. Big tv. Ceiling fans as well as aircon. Nice little deck for sitting out. Lounge aircon controller didn’t work. Mish-mash of cutlery, knives and cooking utensils. Watered down bathroom handwash, not a good look.
