• Frank (9/5): Tolle Lage um Bologna zu Fuß zu erkunden - Unkompliziertes Einchecken über Türcode. Hatten das Zimmer mit der Terrasse mit Kunstrasen. Man hörte nichts vom Straßenlärm. Die Lage ist super. Gegenüber nettes Cafe zum Frühstücken Man hört die Nachbarzimmer recht deutlich, aber war okay.

Вход в апартаменты по инструкции, нужно набрать код доступа на электронном замке. Если внимательно разобраться, всё очень просто. Персонал доброжелательный, старается помочь при необходимости. Имеется отдельная кухня с террасой. Можно выпить чашку кофе, чая - это очень удобно. Душевая кабина комфортная, с хорошим напором воды. Отличное соотношение цена/качество! Соседей вроде не слышно, но с улицы иногда доносится шум…

• Thomas (8/5): - Modern rooms with comfortable beds. In short walking distance to city center and train station. There is a shared kitchen where they offer coffee and tea. Easy check-in. Overall I can really recommend this accomodation for a short stay in Bologna! Check-in was easy but you will not meet the owner or a real person, which makes it a bit impersonal. I would recommend to book a room to the courtyard (with the green balcony on the pictures), since the other rooms are towards the street and sometimes a bit noisy. But you can hear other guests as well pretty good through the thin doors - after all there are free earplugs ;-)

• Fiona (8/5): Clean, comfortable room with little balcony - I enjoyed my stay at Benedict Rooms! The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. I appreciated the air con, mosquito screens, fridge with bottles of water and the mix of cosy lighting. I loved having the little balcony - it only had a small stool or room to stand but it was a lovely way to feel part of the city and see and hear the world go by. The location was handy - 10 mins walk from the central station in one direction and 15 mins walk from Piazza Maggiore in the other direction. Also 1 minute away from Sablè Gelato which was delicious :) I read in other reviews that the self check in was a bit impersonal. I didn’t mind this so much except at the final step on entering my room - I had expected there to be some sort of welcome/orientation information and also a key or key card for quick access back to the accommodation without needing to use codes each time but there wasn’t so I felt a little lost at first. In particular I wasn’t sure if I would be able to get back in the main building without a key after the last check in time of 12am so came back a bit earlier to be sure, and when I first went to go out I didn’t know how to get out the main door of the building! All I could see was a button for the lights, it turned out the button for the door was a few steps back (see picture). I think a small booklet (or WhatsApp message) with useful information about the room and building, plus maybe some recommendations for places to eat etc nearby would be a really helpful and friendly addition :)

• Justyna (8/5): Very good place to stay while visiting Bologna. - The place is very well located, clean and well-equipped. Fully equipped kitchen open to all of the guest is a big plus! It’s very noisy, especially from inside the building, you can hear everything from the corridor, we were waken up by the cleaning ladies.

Water in the fridge on arrival. Good and quiet A/C. Could turn off all lights without standing up from the bed. Was one of the cheapest available options when i booked at 75 eur/night. Kitchen available with coffee/tea Thin walls, could hear people laughing in other rooms.

It was stated that there was a kitchen available, but unfortunately, there were no utensils provided. When I enquired about this, I was told that the previous occupants had stolen them—a claim that was difficult to believe considering the kitchen area is under 24-hour camera surveillance. Although the management waived the tourist tax and the locker charge as a gesture of goodwill, I still found it quite odd that a kitchen would be left without any basic utensils.

The self checkin procedures were very well explain thru whatsapp. I also had a video that made everything very easy. The room has a balcony also, AC, tv, mini fridge, safety deposit box. The location of the facility is close to the historical city center and central station, max 10 minutes walk. There are many caffè, bar, restaurants, food stores and shopping stores nearby. I felt safe as a solo traveler.

• Uladzimir (9/5): Good stay in Bologna in May - The room was spacey and clean. Quick access to railway station and major sights. Considering central location, it was surprisingly quiet over night. Morning coffee in shared space and view onto the old city street from tiny balcony was a nice bonus. The host was available via messenger all the time to assist, additionally sending video instructions prior remote check-in. Many thanks! For those who used to pay by card: City tax in Bologna is a bit messy thing, so it worth to clarify with host in advance, how much cash you‘ll need to leave.
• Hannah (9/5): A wonderful stay - The location, the fact that we could check in at any time because of the code. The owner was quick to reply. Shower worked well. Had three sets of towels. Big bed. Fridge with water inside. Some shampoos . Toilet was clean. Two toilet papers. Hairdryer. Bidet but it couldn't open after closed. Super super clean. A video and code was sent before. Only issue was that I didn't understand that first we had to enter room 4 and then find our room. There are four small stairs to get to the lift. I will say though if you're someone who suffers from weak muscles or weakness in arms the front door is a bit heavy to push open. I had no issue but a family member did struggle. For a fee of ten we were given the option of using 2 lockers for storage after our stay. We ended up only needing one but it was very efficient and two small luggage fit inside the locker. I would stay here again if I come back to Bologna as it ticked a lot of boxes. Lift worked. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay. ☺️ The bed, sleeping it felt like there was a bit of a shallow spot and wasn't as comfortable due to the hole. But I still slept well.

The location is simply beyond words — within walking distance of all the city’s key spots, both enjoyable (tourist attractions) and essential (the train station). First of all, I came from Florance in the morning and they were so kind to let me check-in at 10.00. I was really tired and this was a big surprise. The location was just perfect, the room was so spacey, clean, great bathroom and all around the apartment everything was so organized. the master point was kitchen for use and the balcony in the room. I wish, I was there for two nights instead of staying 1 nt more in Florance. I liked the the city also. If I ever come back to Bologna again will sure stay at Benedict Rooms again. The only thing that prefer double bed instead of two separated beds in my room, but it is my mistake should let them know about my preference before my stay.

• Gemma (8/5): It was all going so well… lovely property but a lesson in why technology is no match for face to face interaction. - Fantastic place to stay in a great location which is central yet pretty quiet. The room is so comfortable and the owner really has thought of almost everything. The bed was lovely and I melted into it every night and slept like a log! Lovely bathroom too and a little fridge in the room which was great. I particularly loved the private terraced area. There is a shared kitchen area though really all you need is a kettle in each room really. The cleaning lady was lovely and what a fabulous job she does: the place was incredibly clean.* I would have preferred more of a human presence given that on one of the days, a woman was hanging around in the shared kitchen area from morning until early evening and every time she saw me throughout the day was harrassing me to go into my room to use my bathroom. It was strange. She may have been a guest who had a late flight and did not want to pay for a room for another day. Who knows, but I didn’t feel comfortable and she always made a beeline for me. On the morning of my final day at the property, I was in the shower when there was a power cut and then a fire alarm. I did not know what to do. It was pitch black and I could not find my phone. I chucked what clothes I could find on and left the room but I was concerned about getting back in as the rooms have electronic locking mechanisms. Nobody had evacuated the building however and I was feeling stressed as to what to do. The lights then came on, after about 15mins, and the alarm stopped. I started to get ready again but the same thing occurred two more times and there was no water thereafter! It was awful as I had to try to pack in the dark and was unable to wash the soap off! I had to use some of the complimentary water bottles in the fridge all the time thinking I shouldn’t even be in the building. If there had been someone about, I would have felt much safer in both instances. Whilst looking for my phone, I noticed under the bed was full of hairy-dust-ball-tumbleweed.* I couldn’t wait to make my exit in the end which was such a shame as I had been so impressed with the accommodation up until this point. Also, there was some issue accessing the building, initially. I had to ring who I presume was the owner. He asked me if I’d watched the video. I had, the night before, but ‘Benedict Rooms’ was not visible at the intercom, as in the video, so I could only see a man’s name from where I was standing.

• Gulriz (10/5): Amazing Stay with Benedict Rooms - Great location, parking place is only few steps away from the property with a cost of 24 €/day. Easy access to building. Everything is brand new and very clean in the room. Bathroom is excellent, and enough towels on bed. Lovely terrace behind the rooms where we had our breakfast. A nice smiling lady is serving in shared area of four rooms. She also offered me a free espresso while I was reading my book in this area.😊 Nice cafes around the place and lots of shops within walking distance. We liked this place a lot so we safely recommend everyone staying for a few nights in Bologna. And we will definetely come back since our daughter is studying in Trento University. Nothing.

Coffee/tea facilities and microwave in common area. Communication with the accommodation (WhatsApp) was prompt. Their check-in system is well organised but made us feel like we were dealing with AI or something. I am sure some people prefer that but it wasn't for me. Their storage system is the locker with smart lock and it's not very big, cost you €5. The location is very convenient if you want to stay close to the train station but it's about 10min walk to the old town where all the touristy spots are.

Although there was no staff on-site, all instructions were clearly provided via SMS before my arrival, making the self check-in process smooth and easy. I highly recommend it for a comfortable and hassle-free stay in Bologna!
