• Hannah (6/5): No frills but clean and quiet .... Bed is shocking though 🫣 - Very clean and had everything we needed. Was in a quiet area. It's basic and no frills but it has a nice kitchen area and a small secure garden. It's a bit shabby in some places and would benefit from some tlc to tidy it up but it's perfectly clean and the price is reflective of the property. The double bed however is shocking and desperately needs replacing. The mattress is missing some springs and stuffing in the middle which has made a big hole. It's old and begging for retirement! Replacing the mattress, pillows and duvet and investing in a couple of better quality towels would greatly improve the quality of the experience and I would have given a much higher rating.

Was only there for 1 night but if I'm up that way again l would definitely use this house, hopefully there longer next time Nothing

• Amanda (8/5): - Clean, cost accommodation with good facilities, including a pub close by. Nothing to dislike really, it was all good but if we were being very picky, the pipework, when running the bathroom tap, was a bit noisy.

• Joanne (7/5): Ok for a short stay - Good location for our needs, quiet road Couch was very hard to sit on, double bed very soft. Needed a little attention to detail, dirty cloths in sink and dirty tray in oven on arrival.

• David (9/5): A very well looked after property, suitable not just for 1-night stops but also as base for touring - The property was very well maintained and ideal for a one-night stay. It would also make a good base for longer stays as the North York Moors, Teesdale and the Yorkshire Dales are all within easy reach and there are good road connections. Would be happy to return.

• Dulcie (9/5): Convenient to visit family locally - Clean and nicely decorated, and close to a pub and shops for convenience. We have stayed in various houses and apartments over the years and this is a lovely little house, but the mattresses need to be changed as this lets the property down in our opinion sadly. The beds were very uncomfortable both the double bed and single. The double mattress is very soft and dips in the middle and the single creaks with every movement and we didn’t have a very good sleep at all.

• Mir (10/5): It was a short and lovely stay would recommend for a small family of four. - Simple check in no fuss. Everything was ready and running staff was nice and quick to answer. Cleanliness was up to the mark. Mattress was pretty awful in the main bedroom.

• Tony (10/5): Modern and clean with good shops, pub and a fabulous restaurant very close by - Nice modern clean house with handy private parking. Great location with shops (including Tesco), pub and fabulous Ingleby Bistro all very close-by. There was a bit of a delay in check in due to cleaning being held up by late departing guests but just one of those things, no fault of owner who kept us well informed. Nothing at all to dislike.

• Steven (10/5): Fantastic. - I loved this place and so did my daughter. The facilities were exceptional and they even provided a cupboard full of board games which my little girl loved. The owner was extremely friendly and welcoming. I would recommend this to anyone.

We were all very impressed with the cleanliness and modern finishes, the quiet location and the lovely little touches of all fresh towels and a little hamper .. my children especially enjoyed the cookies. Value for money, really lovely hosts to deal with. Highly recommend. When we come back to visit family again in the future will definitely see if this place is available.
