Guest Reviews
- Sue (8/5): - Room was good and had everything we needed Noise inside and outside the property
- caroline aimee (10/5): Great location added bonus of swimming facilities. Staff deserve a mention : warm accommodating professional and make yo - Spacious homely great facilities
The Lido and location!
Bed linen and interiors very tasteful Nothing

- Margaret (7/5): This is a stylish and warm place to stay immediately opposite a very special Bristol swimming pool with a cafe and resta - Very interesting location and sympathetically renovated. The main bedroom was clean, warm and stylish. The en suite shower room had no hooks for clothes, the shower didn’t drain properly and the fan wasn’t working. The arrival instructions could’ve been clearer; it was not obvious that you were meant to check in at the Lido ( pool) reception.
- Natasha (7/5): Overall great for an overnight stay if also using the lido felt like a treat - Good location for where our son lives and perfect being opposite the lido and being able to use the facilities Being on ground floor aware of everyone coming and going out of front door early and late and poor sound proofing to upstairs flat for when using their bathroom .
- Debbie (9/5): - Decor. Quite ground floor room .Ability to enjoy lido for a small fee on both days. Unique slipper bath and shower. Very small toilet under the stairs
- Grazyna (9/5): - Loved the room & the lido The shower in the room wasn't completely clean. We found toothpaste on the wall
- Lucy (10/5): Great stay and would stay again - The room was lovely, clean and comfortable. There were robes, slippers, tea, coffee provided etc. the spa was great and you could get a discount on the food there. The staff were friendly and helpful - thank you for a great stay The pool might be quite cold for some but it is very refreshing and there is also a sauna, jacuzzi and steam room
- Andrew McConnell (8/5): - The property was nice and well located for our needs. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. A few things in the room were a little impractical. There was only one bedside table and no mirror that was positioned well for shaving or could be moved.

- Alun (10/5): Fantastic accommodation, wonderful facilities, superb food & incredible staff. Highly recommended. - We went for a 40th Birthday and it was the perfect choice - 10/10. The Townhouse is gorgeous, literally metres away from the Lido; it was clean, secure and had everything we needed. The Lido is superb - has great facilities - and beautifully decorated. The food was incredible and the service was outstanding. The staff went out of their way to make it a special experience - we’re so grateful. We’ve told all our friends and they now want to visit! We literally felt like we’d been abroad, it was that lovely and relaxing. 100% recommended and will definitely go back. Thank you.
- Melissa (8/5): - Elegant townhouse across the lane from the Lido complex. Lovely ambience and character. Restaurant & bar overlooking the ever-busy pool a unique and welcoming place to hang out till late. It's bed only, folks. Literally nowhere to sit or work, not even a stool - nor is there any common space in the townhouse itself. Steep stairs could be an issue for some.
- Juliet (7/5): Would definitely return ! I give feedback but would not hesitate to return ! - Location , decor Poor Acoustic with people on halls despite signage but can’t be helped due to old building, shower was not draining properly but they attended quickly
- Maxine (10/5): - The location of the Townhouse is ideal for any swimming enthusiasts, located just over the road from the beautiful lido. For the foodies amongst us, the restaurant attanched to the pool is amazing, with excellent food and wine. I cannot recommend more. While it was a work trip, I was able to add the elements of swimming and food which made it the ideal set up. Nothing
- Fiona (8/5): -
- Kiran (10/5): Excellent stay with everything catered for - Lovely and homely with good facilities
- Georgina (10/5): A wonderful stay, will be back - Everything Some of the staff was unapproachable and stand off ish.
- Emily (6/5): It would have been nice if the pool was included for the price which was already quite high - The room The facilities were not included despite photographs suggesting they were
- Annette (10/5): Great location ideal for lido experience - Modern clean tidy with all mod cons
- Rachel (7/5): Nice mainly - The facilities Being on the ground floor with the door banging at night when people come in. Also didn’t need the radio alarm going off at 7am.
- Katharine (9/5): - Really beautifully decorated rooms with great facilities.
- Josie (10/5): Stay here and feel like a rock star! - It’s a stunning Georgian townhouse in Clifton and had been beautifully refurbished. The room was probably the boujiest I’ve ever stayed in with a huge free standing bath and shower. The bed was very comfortable and the room temperature easy to adjust, plus you can open the window which is quite rare these days.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. I wish I could have stayed longer to use the lido and spa! Nothing however, as I mentioned when I checked out, it would be hand to have a mirror above a power socket as straightening my fringe was challenging.
- Kitty (9/5): -
- Karin (9/5): The staff espGeorge were amazing. -
- Ian (9/5): -
- Claire (9/5): Lovely good value room. Would recommend - Lovely room. Nice welcome Breakfast at the lido was pricey
- LOUISE (10/5): Amazing night away in Bristol - Tucked away in a quiet street but still near the city centre. Access to the lido at a reduced rate! Had a wonderful morning swim, sauna and steam room followed by a delicious breakfast in the poolside restaurant (10% off if you stay there) all the staff were friendly, welcoming & attentive! Will definitely return! A small constructive criticism, not many plug sockets in the room and none near the mirror which makes drying/styling hair tricky
- Gilly (9/5): A well needed 24 hour break in a wonderful hotel - Very clean. Very comfortable.
- LYNNE (10/5): -
- Alice (10/5): -
- Richard (7/5): Lido great , rooms ok - Lido

- Isobel (9/5): -
- Whateley (10/5): -
- Ian (9/5): Little oasis on the edge of Clifton - Location and access to Lido pool Snug for en suite w.c.
- Robert Leach (9/5): - Staff, the layout, The pool was soooo cold
- Hugh (9/5): -
- Abbi (9/5): - Lovely stay & loved the lido!
- Anna (8/5): -
- Philippa (9/5): We liked the accommodation which allowed us to take full advantage of the Lido. - The property was ideally located so that we could just nip across the cobbles to the Lido. The accommodation was stylish and clean. Could have done with somewhere to hang clothes and the ex/ hand basin area was very small/ had a low arched ceiling.
- Geoff (10/5): Refreshing - Beautiful comfortable rooms very modern. Great facilities
- Rebecca (9/5): -
- Alice (10/5): A treat experience, which I will defintely do again. Thank you - Lovely boutique facility Love the spa and beautiful room.
- Simon (10/5): Superb Lido townhouse - Quick stop over on our way to Cornwall that turned into a highlight of the holiday. The townhouse is comfortable and the Lido a special experience. I recommend you eat there. Parking a bit difficult 😕 Parking isn't great but that's understandable in Clifton.
- Alexis (8/5): -
- Alison (9/5): Lovely relaxing stay - Access to the lido pool, lovely bedroom, great restaurant. Parking on street was difficult but we were able to access a car park near the small shopping centre.
- Yuki (6/5): Perfect location but it’s overpriced for what you get. - Good location. Tiny room.
- Suze (9/5): Townhouse with a pool - Room really comfortable, staff couldn't have been more helpful, and of course the pool and the restaurant wonderful. No decaf coffee in the room but that was being sorted. Even got one to take up to my room.
Bedside lamps too bright.
The water in the pool a bit too cold...
- Katharine (8/5): - The location across from the Lido is fabulous. We used the pool and got spa treatments. The staff were very kind and everything was well facilitated. The room was spacious and had solid amenities. The room was really warm (which is an odd thing to complain about in British December!), but it was really really warm. The instructions asked to adjust the radiators manually, but that was quite difficult to get them to budge. Could also be more generous with the supplies in the room (toilet paper, conditioner, coffee pods etc - perhaps the exact amount assumed for the lenght of the stay could be upped a bit.
- Emma (10/5): Comfortable, stylish and great customer service x - It was very nicely decorated, a good temperature and I felt very safe. It could have had some side lamps. There was only the overhead light
- Lucy (7/5): - The Lido and its access to it The drains in the toilet smelt so bad
- Laura (9/5): - Bedside lights would have been nice
- Lucy (8/5): -
- Rebecca (10/5): -
- LUDOVIC (9/5): I would recommend this place to friends. - I really enjoyed my stay. The room was warm and welcoming, and I appreciated the thoughtful touches, slippers (although a little small for larger feet) , a gown, plenty of bottled water, as well as coffee and tea, hair dryer. Everything was clean, functional, and nicely arranged. One small thing I didn’t love (and this might just be a personal preference) was the glass window between the bedroom/living area and the bathroom. Even though it was frosted, that design isn’t really my cup of tea.
- Fiona (7/5): -
- Jen (9/5): -
- Sarah (10/5): -
- Kate (10/5): - The staff were great. The room was lovely. Nothing!
- Mark (6/5): Underwhelmed. Had expected better. I think we were unlucky with the room we were given. - Location worked well for us. The bed was comfortable. Nice being able to access the lido (*at a cost). Decor was ok. Teas and coffees in room were nice. Our room was on the ground floor next to the entrance and was quite noisy with people coming through the main door / along the hallway / footsteps from the room above / and a intermittent whirring noise - possible macerator? Our bathroom was under the main staircase and was cramped, low head room and had a smell of sewerage. I don't remember being told specifics about the room we had been assigned at the time of booking - I would imagine the other rooms at the townhouse would be nicer. Main light fitting was very dusty and some bad finishing within the bathroom. Spa was very busy (it was a Saturday) hard to get in hottub, steam room etc as always full.
- Peter (10/5): Great place to stay in Bristol - Clean , comfortable and great location right next to the lido Nothing
- JOANNE (10/5): Wonderful overnight stay - use of Lido was great & lunch at the excellent restaurant 🤩 - Beautifully furnished
Great location & use of Lido facilities
- Gina (10/5): -
- Oliver (7/5): Great for an over night stay - It was great. Clean, comfortable and felt safe. Bathroom was a bit cramped and at 6 foot, I had to watch my head
- Sonja (8/5): Lovely place. Great if using the Lido facilities (which you can access for a reduced rate). - Fab accomodation. Perfect if your'e using the Lido facilities. Very clean. Lovely toiletries, plus water/proper milk provided. Our room was absolutely boiling as it was on the top floor and with no air conditioning. We had to sleep with the window wide open, which meant it was noisy and still too hot.
- Hannah (7/5): Good stay in excellent location. - Excellent location. Generous with coffee and water in the rooms. Clean and comfy bed. Staff lovely. Our room was on the ground floor and you could hear people coming in and out. We also felt the separate toilet was far too small, especially the sink. There wasn’t enough places to put our belongings, or even hang towels apart from the hooks on the door. Perhaps we were just unlucky with our room.
- Melanie (10/5): Exceptional and just gorgeous. - Fabulous, stylish and very comfortable. The room was perfect.. gorgeous bed linen, lovely lighting and just generally very tasteful, well designed and well executed. There was a bit of road noise, next time we'll request not to have a 'street-side' room, having said that we were in the City Centre so it's probably to be expected.
