Guest Reviews
- Fred Stephens (9/5): - If travelling by public transport the location was excellent, 5 minute walk from the railway station and 2 minutes to the bus stops. Many shops and supermarket and breakfast/brunch restaurant within minutes. No real problems
- EUNYOUNG (5/5): -
- Guest (9/5): Good and clean. - Super clean and nice. Centrally located and close to all eateries. A bit small than expected but still manageable.
- Cem (9/5): -
- SIN LEE (8/5): -
- Abbie (7/5): Great location. Did what we needed. - The location was amazing, we were in town for a show and it was right in the centre. Check in was easy, once we found the door and it had most of the things we needed for a comfy stay. The complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits were greatly appreciated too! We did ask for the sofa bed and it wasn't set up, nor did we have any sheets. We didn't raise this during the stay as by the time we noticed, it was too late to fix. It wasn't the comfiest sofabed.
- Candice (10/5): -
- Rebecca (4/5): -
- Linda (10/5): Good value for money - Beautiful apartment. Very clean and well equipped. Hosts are very responsive. The location. Although in the town centre it’s in a run down area which is a shame because the apartments are fabulous.
- Guest (8/5): -
- Debbie (9/5): Perfect location for our Portsmouth stay - Comfortable beds. Clean and contempory decor. Modern bathroom
- tina (1/5): Would absolutely not return! Can’t - Absolutely nothing. Dark, dingy, dirty. No fresh air as you can only open window slightly. The dust was awful.. stand clear if you put fans on! You need dust mask. Check dining chairs for food before you sit down. Take a mop to mop bathroom floor as shower doors do not close. Do t eat biscuits they provide as they are months out of date! Everything. Location is ok for getting around but entrance is really grim and we didn’t feel safe at night.
- Guest (9/5): Very nice accommodation in great location for shopping and ferries - Lovely bijou apartment with great facilities Entrance stairs with luggage 🤪
- Morten (6/5): -
- Reka (7/5): - The apartment had a gallery, so the little space was well worked out, nicely furnitured. The neighborhood was a bit loud, the apartment was a bit outside of the city center.
- Jessica (9/5): -
- Patricia Ann (8/5): Totally adequate accomodation for a short break. - Central for buses and train. Compact and secure The outside of the building is very noisy trucks delivering to surrounding shops from 4 am each morning.
- Lara (9/5): Fantastic location for shopping and central town. Comfortable stay with all you need at your finger tips. Highly recomme - All the amenities you need were there. Including shower gel, washing machine pods and complimentary coffee, tea, milk and sugars. Was clean, bright and the bed was very comfortable! My partner is 6ft 5 so had to bend down every time we sat on the sofa or went to the wardrobe as well as upstairs by the bed area.
WiFi was a bit weak but worked well enough.
- Amanda (8/5): Met expectations - As expected, good size and float facilities were good and well equipped. Location was convenient but noisy. Expense of parking.
- Tracie (10/5): Location, location, Location Perfect Graduation, Victorious Festival or Visiting Portsmouth Uni. - Location and 1 day Chargeable Parking in Car Park just around the corner.
You are notified of entry codes two hours before checkin.
Lovely staff Dilwa is so helpful with any queries or concerns.
Great for the family to stay in the same apartment together, with plenty of space even when Five staying.
This is the second time we have used Paradise Suites and ideally located for Portsmouth Uni Graduation stays or viewing the University.
We used it for two graduations. Definately would recommend to anyone wishing to stay in Portsmouth for a holiday or events.
Location, location, location superb, Shops, Guildhall (University Graduation Venue), and train station just a two minute walk. Victorious festival fifteen minute walk. Same to the seafront if catching the hovercraft or just wanting a seafront stroll.
Can't wait to visit again and Paradise Suites will be our first point of call to stay again, without a show of a doubt.
Thanks Paradise Suites. Everything was exceptional.
So if I had to be really, really picky. The only thing I can mention is that I believe Dogs are not allowed, maybe this is something they could considered and may change in the future?.
- Anoop (8/5): Very good -
- Stephanie (9/5): Superb -
- Thomas (8/5): Very good -
- Lucy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephen (8/5): Nice facilities. Host was great and efficient. - Property was ideal for getting to all of portsmouth
- Carmen (10/5): Very giood apartnent - Very good apartment, clean, near to train station, close to supermarket and not noisy ...and this is very important...rules there are clear about noise and customers were very calm. Pedestrian street close to it...but without problems
We will repeat
- David (6/5): Horrible location. - Nice layout. Location awful. Felt unsafe. Horrible main entrance through a metal door on a side street. 15 emails communicated through the process confused the whole booking process. Very difficult to find the property even with Sat nav.
- Anonymous (8/5): Decent stay - It more or less had everything we needed and was a nicely decorated property. The surrounding area had some interesting characters but felt pretty safe and it was easy to access other parts of Portsmouth by foot and public transport. I was very grateful there were fans there because it was very hot when we were visiting. There was loads of emails from the host on how to get in, the codes were confusing at first but once we figured it out all was fine. All in all it served the purpose for our visit. To start with I was not happy with the £200 holding fee on my bank card, this felt unnecessary and stressful until it was removed. I found sleeping difficult because there was a lot of daylight even when the blinds are closed and of course short nights at this time of year. The mattress was also not that great (when the other person moves you really notice it), and there was a lot of noise outside early in the morning with bin collectors/seagulls. We couldn't get the TV to work and I contacted the host by text about this (because I couldn't do it on Booking.com) and they just sent a generic email and the situation was not fixed - it would have been really nice to have that. The sofa is uncomfortable, the WIFI drops in and out and the fans seriously need cleaned.
- Sarah (5/5): Photos of dirty cupboards - It was easy to get too x
Beds comfortable
Very helpful when I rang about property It was very hot in the property, not many plugs down stairs difficult to dry my hair and look in mirror
Couldn’t find a chopping board and no trays to put in the oven
When I opened the doors in the kitchen where utensils and plates the doors where dirty so I cleaned them
- Philip (7/5): Good -
- Bishop (8/5): Very good - Nice and close to what we needed Could do with a barth mate and shower mat as was very slippy and the doors at the bottom dose not close so water was getting through but apart from that every think was brillent
- David (10/5): Exceptional - Ideal for a family stay Nothing
- Rasidi (7/5): Good -
- Victoria (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Emre (5/5): Passable -
- Anne (10/5): Would definitely use again - We booked the accommodation for a Naval reunion , nice touches was enough coffee and tea for the weekend also biscuits .
Flat was lovely and clean. When we arrived noticed a few marks on paintwork and sofa had marks also, to save people worrying about deposit this should be highlighted on a book kept by flat easy for the cleaner ti fill out
Door pad toke us a wee while to get used to as markings fading
- Oksana (7/5): Good -
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stringer (8/5): Great rooms just need a little cleaning. - The decor was chosen well with a bright colour scheme. The fans really need dusting. They had a thick layer on, and we needed to use one as it was hot up in the balcony area. But it felt like dust was blowing on my daughter while she was sleeping, so I turned it off.
- Deborah (9/5): long weekend in Portsmouth - Good location for our needs. Clean and everything we needed for a weekend in Portsmouth. Door codes and lock box were a little difficult to navigate on our arrival but sorted fairly quickly
- Stacey (8/5): Very good - Property inside was fantastic had everything we needed for our stay and was very comfortable , clean and well
Maintained Wasn’t keen it was on a walkway and wasn’t sure on the area as looked a little dirty parking wasn’t on site
However it was different once inside and felt very safe
- Hannah (7/5): Good -
- Pavel (9/5): Superb - Nice clean spacious place with washing machine and small kitchen. Instructions how to get to the place need improvement.
- James (5/5): Moderate stay - not great, not bad. - Very close to the train station and the city centre. Plenty of space, all the facilities you need. Good WiFi, Netflix etc. It was noisy outside so wore ear plugs. Stains on the sofa (probably just drink but you never know), the shower didn't drain so stood in a mini cold foot bath, and the kitchen sink drainage smelt very bad. Also a crazy amount of emails from booking to leaving. Final total was 18 which is a bit much.
- Graham (10/5): arrived friday check in was smooth we were close to everything would definately stay again thankyou - very clean modern and comfortable everything was good the shower was very slow draining though
- Tsui (9/5): Superb -
- Karine (9/5): Superb -
- Talhah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lorraine (7/5): Nice enough apartment, shame about the noise in the early more - Property inside is good and equipped well, relatively clean and tidy. Noisey neighbour, not the property owners fault, but it did spoil the experience.
Access to the property and surrounding area does not give a first good impression as it is in a shopping area in the city Center and entrance is in walkthrough between shops where there was a lot of litter.
- Amelie (8/5): Would definitely recommend - The property was just as described. The bed was really comfy, the kitchen was clean and the space was huge. The location is perfect position for being in the city
- Alderton (8/5): Very good - Apartment had everything we needed Entrance on street was not inviting at all and bit hard to find
- Linda (8/5): Very good - Situation great close to rail station and shopping mall. A walk away from the historic maritime exhibition. Clean and well equipped unit. Manager easy to contact with any problems although he did not seem to be able to fix the Wi Fi. Wi Fi dropping out all the time and power tripping out if toomany appliances on at once.
Stairs are an issue especially if you have a lot of suitcases. Entrance not inviting and area a bit seedy.
However we did not experience any problems with the homeless people in this area.
- Angela (9/5): Superb - It was close to everything we needed like shops the train station. The suite was very cosy and comfortable lovely decoration. Couldn't find anything we didn't like
- Eleanor (8/5): Very good - Great location which is close to Portsmouth and Southsea station, the city centre and the international ferry port. I loved the design of the suite as well and it was easy to get in and out as needed and if you are looking for somewhere private to stay then this is a good choice.
- Flaminia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Laura (8/5): Good value, great communication and overall a good experience. - A lovely well kept room, the staff were very polite and friendly.
A few small issues encountered with the room but nothing to major. Thought the communication by the those who run the venue was absolutely brilliant. A fantastic place to stay if you want to experience the city of Portsmouth.
- Megan (10/5): Lovely flat. Very clean. Would definitely recommend. -
- Alan (10/5): Great stay - Super place, that was spotlessly clean. Great location for our stay.
The landlord was very helpful and gave perfectly clear instructions for everything.
Will definitely book again.
- Katie (10/5): Great property, central location - Ease of access, I was sent the codes and instructions well in advance of arrival.
The property was comfortable, really clean and cute decor - perfect for a short stay
- Ankita (4/5): Disappointing - Space Hetear not working
- Frank (10/5): Exceptional -
- Laura (9/5): Superb -
- Russell (10/5): Perfect for what we needed. - Instructions for reaching the property and accessing it were clear. The apartment was really clean and well equipped.
- Carol (4/5): Called about hot water. Guy came & checked. Said someone would come in morning - no one did - Location No hot water
- Marcin (1/5): Bad -
- Olugbenga (8/5): It was a good experience - It’s decent, well kept and nice location
- Mahadi (6/5): Only for very short stays..i.e. 1 to 2 nights. - Convenient Location in the city centre, accessible to the restaurants & cafe, rail station, shops, banks, supermarkets… Indoor layout is very compact, parts of windows blocked by modified platform for upstairs bedrooms. Internet/Wifi connection irregular and affected smart tv transmission. One wall heating unit for the suite and heating circulation is uneven. Heating Bar in shower room for towels, but still damp and build up mold, scratches on wall. Water outlet in shower has not been cleaned for sometimes accumulating dirt and hair. Access from main entrance to the suite is by walking up/down stairs, no elevators. Not for senior citizens with movement issues
- Connor (7/5): Comfortable and convenient, room for improvement in terms of cleanliness and heating - The property was nicely decorated and had everything you need for a short stay The heater did not heat the room properly, the upstairs area was way too hot and the downstairs was too cold.
The cleanliness was the first thing we noticed, it could definitely have been better, lots of dust, crumbs on the sofa and cup marks on the tables etc. The kitchen was decently clean though, and to the bathroom, but the bedroom/lounge areas need improvement
- Tricid (9/5): Superb -
- Clay (10/5): Brilliant - I loved it all. The photos was as it is. Very clean
- Jordan (10/5): Great - It was central, clean and affordable Everything was good
- Nicky (7/5): Highly recommended - Well equipped Lots of steps
- Siti (10/5): Pleasant stay - Good location and reasonable size for a family of 5. Host was quick to respond to our queries. Wifi was abit unstable. Washing machine should have drying facility
- Gemma (4/5): Cold, gloomy, poorly equipt/maintained flat. Be prepared for disturbance in the streets. - Location was convenient, close to town, but the area is noisy, rowdy locals, tipped over rubbish bins, drunks and homelessness. I would rebook there. It was freezing cold - all the windows were left open on arrival. The 1 electric heater was completely inadequate to heat the size of the room so our stay was cold and uncomfortable.
The whole suite is tatty and tired, the lighting is glaring and poorly thought-out - choices are very bright or very dark and gloomy.
The bathroom wasn’t clean, nor was the flooring throughout.
Very poorly stocked crockery and glassware - the wine glasses were dirty on arrival and needed to be cleaned before using.
We took food to use the kitchen but didn’t feel able to because of the inadequate equipment supplied so ended up going out and staying out.
We checked out by 8.30am and had coffee/breakfast in Costa around the corner.
We won’t recommend or return.
- George (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jason (8/5): Very good - Apartment was clean and had everything we needed for our stay.
- Jason (8/5): Very good -
- Raggakatrina (10/5): Overall, I consider the stay successful - good location, peaceful and quiet place. Very dirty floors in the apartment, on the upholstery of the sofa and under the beds there are clouds of dust and rubbish🫣🤔 very often the plugs pop out and if I were alone with the children it would be a big problem for me.
- Shamanta (8/5): Overall very nice - Nice location.. Clean and beautiful. But we straggle with my newborn baby . Your service should provide us a baby cot . And a chopping board missing. Decoration and location
- Justin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ali (9/5): Superb -
- Tommy-jay (10/5): Rich comfy homely and so relaxing - Absolutely everything was amazing will definitely be there again!
- De (9/5): Superb -
- Paula (8/5): Very good - It had absolutely everything that was needed for a weekend stay. There were too many e-mails to communicate about the different electronics in the flat and how they work. The same with the access code and key code. Although all the necessary info was given, it was very confusing and difficult to retrieve.
- Maya (10/5): It was perfect, comfortable and clean. Loved it! - It was very clean and provided us with everything we needed it is located in a good area and shops are near by which meant it was very convenient for us. It was clean and had everything we needed such as cups, plates dishes etc. the bathroom was provided with shampoo and shower gel which was nice. Overall very happy with our stay and it was a lovely apartment. There was nothing we disliked about the property.
- Emefe (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (8/5): Very good - Location was superb and accommodation was very nice Heating was annoying to use
- Gary (10/5): Great value and quality at the same time. - Really good value. It’s super clean, enough room for the three of us and great facilities. Nothing
- Daiva (8/5): Very good - Property is clean, new furniture. Property is not in the best location 😔little bit scary walk in the evening. In the shower water running very slowly, noises was until 4 o’clock in the morning (quiet hours from 10-7 😳)my son can’t sleep. Over all I like it inside. But not sure I will stay again
- Brenda (7/5): Spacious Studio - Central, close to train station.
Walking distance to all the sights.
Having a washing machine as we were there for 10 nights Dirty bedding, had a to wash sheet before use.
Dirty brush
Fire Door jammed open
Window safety catches open
Washing machine smelly
- Gordon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Okoli (5/5): Had prywith getting into the building and met another guest who complained the buttons are fiddly - Location was good for my need Entry to building was fiddly. The buttons on the box is stuck. could do with a bit of a clean. No person to give any information Kitchen hub turned off from mains. Could not have found it. Spare bed linen could be provided.Building needs a makeover.
- Hayden (8/5): Very good -
- Martha (9/5): Perfect for a group of 3. - Great location, clean and well equipped. Entry was straight forward , with code sent a few hours before, as stated. Perfect for our stay in Portsmouth, very central.
- Callum (10/5): Exceptional -
- April (9/5): Really nice place - Really nice place central location Deposit was lifted early contacted the host who wasn’t very helpful in resolving this and lacked communication
- Melanie (6/5): Fine - location biggest drawback re: noise - Nice space, comfy bed, clean bathroom. Sofa rather uncomfortable. About 50 stairs up to my room. City centre location meant a lot of disturbance one evening, but great for the station and university.
- Jessica (10/5): The stay was great had everything we needed for the night :) -
- Andrew (9/5): booked for the Great South Run - It was clean and in a central location. An alarm went off outside for a long time in the night, business bins were emptied outside before 8am.
