• Kevin (6/5): good enough for the money, but a little more effort from owner would make it much better - the location was pretty good and the beds were comfortable enough. The area is quiet and we appreciated that. The wifi was reliable and quick enough. The value for the stay, when compared to others in the area, was pretty good, but I'm sure the pricey places would also have been somewhat nicer and cleaner. The biggest issue was that there were several things in the kitchen (coffee maker, tea kettle, etc) and in the bathroom (the shower mainly) that were just obviously dirty and had not been cleaned for quite some time. Overall this tells me that the owner is not very attentive and does not care very much about how their place looks for paying customers. I had seen reviews beforehand saying similar things and had hoped for better, but evidently it is common with this place. Not a deal breaker, but could and should have been better. Aside from that, the other biggest issue was that there were not good curtains or blinds for all of the windows, and when it is about 22 hours of daylight this time of year, it is pretty important to be able to make the place dark to sleep. A little effort there would go a long way also.

Could put better curtains so the light does not shine so much in, but that is also just Iceland in the summer. and just upgrade the pillows.
• Catherine (5/5): Passable - Owner was pretty responsive to our questions. Kitchen was functional. It's a basement apartment. There were insects crawling out from under the shower (gap not sealed) and flies in the apartment. The place was advertised as two bedrooms but there's only one bedroom. Two beds were placed in the living room area.
• Anonymous (6/5): Basic accommodation in farmland - This is the basement of a small house in farm area. It is ok if you also want to experience what farm life could mean in Icelend. By car Selfoss is 5-10 minutes The facilities are quite basic. There is nothing to do on foot in the area. Selfoss is reachable only by car.
