One of the highlights for me was the food—it's genuinely delicious. I’d highly recommend trying their daily specials—during my stay, I had their pancakes, and they were incredible! The staff is super friendly and helpful, which made the stay feel even more comfortable. The entire property is very well maintained—clean, cozy, and just the kind of space you’d want to unwind in after a day of exploring. Overall, this place offers the perfect blend of great food, beautiful views, and warm hospitality. Highly recommended if you're visiting Old Manali!

The chai of the rooftop kitchen is indeed really really good. Kudos to the kitchen manager. I wish I could have stayed more days. Manali vibe is dying a slow death and traveller community as a whole needs to discuss why and do something about it.

• Rishi (10/5): Exceptional - You arrive in Manali for the start of your solo trip, you find this place in the calm streets of Old Manali. You try the food at the cafe looking at the amazing view from the roof. You think you'll chill here for a couple of days, but then you meet the hosts and people around the property. All your travel plans fail and you end up staying at firefly for a month. Great place, Great hosts, Great neighborhood & Great food.

The community hall in the terrace is so good where you can mingle with the fellow travellers and the view from that place is awesome. I am not a tea person. But i loved the tea from the firefly cafe. It's a must try.

Rooms are clean and the rooftop terrace offers stunning views of the mountains! The road leading to the property can feel slightly treacherous if there's snow/ice, but that's true for many properties in Manali during the winter season
• Kaashvi (10/5): Great Experience - Firefly is the perfect place which gives a panoramic view of the mountains of Manali. The hostel is the perfect testament of beauty. Aman and Shubham are perfect hosts with their charming nature. The energetic hikes were mind blowing. They have an exquisite menu with freshly made pizza, pasta, aloo paratha, biryani, dal makhani are ultimately delicious. To top it all its fun to watch the bubbly Nemo & Nia. If your a nature lover Firefly is the right place to stay.

Everything was perfect on point, the Host, the arrangements, location, view, food and all. The best past about the place was the involvement of Shubham and Aman, they make you feel the place as your second home, their vibe is amazing, it doesn't make you feel as guest, but you feel yourself as the part of their hostel family. signing off from that place for a while.

• Varun (6/5): Stay was good - Clean rooms. Gyeser was working. Cafeteria is also avilable on roof. Nice mountain view from roof and room. Road to property is on high slop and water runs over road. Its dangerous during snow in winter. Room heater is chargable. Food is not allowed to eat inside room. My cab driver was not coming till property due to bad road. Locker is not available, you can drop your luggage at reception on your risk.

• Naveen (10/5): Exceptional - this is a hostel and not a luxury hotel but it was definitely a perfect place to stay. The staff was amazing, very helpful, efficient and nice. The rooms were comfortable and the bathrooms and kitchen were always clean and tidy.
• Eva (6/5): Pleasant - Quiet location and spacious room. Nice concept. A lot of bugs and flies in the room. No daily cleaning in the rooms apart from removing the rubbish. The sink and toilets seemed like were not washed for months, lots of old stains. The owner was nice but the volunteer girl was a bit useless. There were only Indian tourists and the problem they are not respecting basic dorm rules despite it’s all written on the walls. People talking outside the dorms early morning/late night.

Nestled amidst the lush greenery and towering mountains, this hostel offers some of the most breathtaking scenic views I've ever encountered. The accommodations at FireFly were exceptionally comfortable and clean. The staff were incredibly friendly too. Overall, my stay at FireFly was a perfect blend of comfort, community, and natural splendor. I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Old Manali!! I had a perfect stay and experience here.

One of the most beautiful and best stay i can ever wish for. Shubham and Aman are great host, and this journey would be impossible without them. This property has an amazing view and surrounded with beautiful people. Being solo backpacker, I always look for hostel setups and like to stay at off beat places! Firefly hostel is situated in off beat old Manali and the view from the stay is just amazing! Hospitality you get from the property managers/workers here is next level. They personally took us to best off beat locations around the Manali.. Not to forget best food(quality/quantity) is served at the stay itself! Some amazing factor about managers : I had hand injury when I visited the place, Shubham/Aman(owners) took me to the hospital twice, helped me and checked on the me regularly! They also ensure, local culture is felt/lived/enjoyed (took me to some authentic food places as well). I have stayed at so many backpackers hostels however never had privilege to witness such a great hospitality from the owner :) I was very lucky and hands down the best stay one can look for in old Manali (specially for solo travelers)! nothing that I can recall :)

Literally this place is in the heart of Old Manali, the 270 degree view that holds the Hampta Ranges, Lama Dugh, Jogini Falls & Manu Temple from their common space left me in awe :). Would highly recommend this place for a person like me who loves budget travelling/Workation and also like to have delicious & affordable food with a view. And if you are a pet lover like me, they have two cute little cats at property who will give you a lots of love :). Urgh! The one thing that i really don’t like about this place is that, it’s a black hole; call it people or the place itself but it will pull you sooo deep into it, you would not like to leave at all. So whoever is coming, will suggest you to not come with plans :P
