• Beth (10/5): Don't miss out on such a wonderful, peaceful getaway...country style in the middle of nowhere - We spent the night in Redbud cabin. It was so beautiful down there and in the middle of the country. Out in the middle of nowhere, the cabin was spectacular. It wasn’t ritzy, but simple and extremely clean. There is a screened in porch, a barbecue grill, and a place for a campfire if it wasn’t so dry, we did not have time to use all the amenities as we did a lot of driving that Friday. Someone from the owner's family painted some beautiful pictures displayed on the walls...Impressive! We attended the dark sky fest for stargazers (about 45mins away) & drove back to the cabin afterwards. Mostly we just slept in in the morning. We had a little breakfast and enjoyed some time to sit outside and listen to the birds while we drank hot chocolate. The whole thing was very peaceful. I am so glad we were able to attend. I wish we could have spent more time just at the cabin. Although there was a TV...we chose not to watch it. We just listened to the crickets chirping and cicadas buzzing.
