Guest Reviews

- Augusto (8/5): - Personal molt atent. Molt amables
- Prayuth (10/5): Great hotel with good food. - The hotel has everything we needed. The food was very delicious. The hot spring was good. The quality of water was good.
We really liked the dinner which had varieties of food and the soup was perfect. The room was clean. And the staffs were very polite.
- Georgia (7/5): Comfortable stay. Great staff. - The staff were exceptional. The dinner buffet was delicious and varied. It was nice to have the private onsen at no extra cost. The room was spacious. Would have liked to have the room serviced so that we could have our bins emptied, towels refreshed and tea station refreshed.
- Emily (7/5): Good - We arrived very late, at 11:30pm, but the reception desk was still open and accommodating. There are 2 different baths, both with indoor and outdoor pools, and they switch between male and female depending on the time of day, so you can try out both. Enjoyed a free popsicle after the bath and played ping pong in the games room in a yukata. If you're planning to walk to other attractions in Nikko like Edo Wonderland, this was one of the closest affordable hotels. Breakfast was a buffet, but make sure you get down there on time. The staff does not enter your room during the stay, which means you need to set the futon bed up yourself. The place seemed dated and in need of an update. It wasn't really dirty, but worn. There were a lot of flies in the bathroom. There was a note about flies in the welcome booklet, but it was written in such broken English that we did not understand what it said, something about calling the front desk I think, but we ended up killing all of them ourselves. If you come here, get the dinner too, because there isn't really anywhere nearby to get a meal. We tried going to a place next door, but it was closed early without notice. Had to eat cup noodles as a last resort.
- Mari (8/5): Very good -
- Janelle (8/5): Great Food and Staff, and an amazing Onsen I will be back - The food and the staff were amazing and it was clean, the onsen was marvellous could’ve stayed in there all day. We unfortunately did not get to take advantage of all they had to offer which was quite a lot. Ok so the down side this is a traditional Japanese Hotel and the bedding reflects that , my suggestion would be it’s time to upgrade their sleeping mats as they were rock hard the floor was better.
The distance from Nikko’s temples is a little further then I thought so that was on me.
- Bruce (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vaughan (9/5): Great authentic Japanese experience with onsen - We really enjoyed our stay. It appears to have a predominantly Japanese clientele, but staff have a bit of English. We had a great view over the river, breakfast buffet was delicious, onsen was great, private onsen (no extra cost) was easy to book. 400 metres to a supermarket. My daughters thought sleeping on tatami mats was like having a big sleepover in the loungeroom. Hotel is a bit dated and the 10 minute walk from Tobu World Square Station might not suit everyone. Slightly older facilities and a walk didnt bother us (we sent our luggage ahead).
- Kayla (10/5): Wonderful resort like location with friendly Japanese speaking staff, excellent food, wonderful bath - The location is a 10 minute walk from the train station. With heavy luggage this can be a bit tough. The staff is very kind and converses in Japanese (not English). Breakfast was wonderful. Onsen was wonderful. Booked dinner buffet as well, which was very tasty (must reserve at front desk ahead of time). Enjoyed the game room they had on site. Front desk staff very helpful and called us a taxi. The futons are a bit thin, so sleeping on them was uncomfortable.
- Anonymous (10/5): Real おもてなし - Big hotel, big wonderful onsen with great skincare products, good food, friendly stuff, free welcome snack and drinks. Thank you!
- Andreja (8/5): Very good -
- Haneji (7/5): Food & staff are great! But the facility needs a lot of repairs/updates. - Nice staff! Great food! You can reserve a private bath for 50 min for free! Facility is very old. Room needs air purifier.
- Wai (10/5): Superb - The hotel basically provides you with everything you ever need, which means there is no need for you to head outside and grab other stuff. Moreover, this hotel seems to cater to Japanese all the time, thus the environment is very inclined towards Japanese, and you will enjoy it if you want to experience that. The closest convenience store is roughly 15 minutes walk away, which may not be very convenient but on the other side, you do not need to head out to any convenience stores given the number of amenities provided by the hotel. I just wanted to visit the stores as I was in Japan.
- Kian (7/5): it was a good experience staying with this hotel. - Breakfast and Onsen facilities were excellent! the location is bit far from train station could not find out if there is a bus service
- Siddhesh (9/5): Superb - The room was clean, also the staff spoke hindi so it was easier for me to get by.
3 to 5 alcohol and local delicacies were there which was great.
Even the buffet was good, apart from the tempura which lacked flavor the rest of the food and alcohol was very good.
Also the view from the room was magnificent.
Overall good experience
- David (8/5): Great food, friendly staff and peaceful. - Beautiful view of the river/gorge, corner room on the top floor. Large room Just unaccustomed to Japanese style hotel rooms, so very new and different.
- Ho (8/5): Very good -
- Suppachai (10/5): We will be back. - Great Staff, Nice Location, Buffet Breakfast and Buffet Dinner was great (Include Softdrink and alcoholic beverages) We have to setup futon by ourself.
- Teerachai (7/5): impressive - nice dinner and breakfast,
some staff are very nice and kind. The way to bus stop going back to the kinugawaonsen station is confusing, because the bus has to make a U-turn to pick up. The hotel staff must be careful to tell the detail of the bus stop more than this.
- Kittima (7/5): Good - Simple nice onsen Simple nice breakfast
- Jun (7/5): Good -
- Choi (8/5): Very good -
- Stacey (9/5): Nice quiet relaxing hotel - The hotel is nice and i realy liked that we could have a private onsen.Theres a massage chair with books to read down stairs as well as drinks you can get at certain times. The staff were plesant and helpful. Dinner was lovely and i realy enjoyed it along with breakfast however i only managed to have 2 of the 4 meals for our stay as unfortunatly i became very ill.My partner requested to bring me some fruit when he went to get his own dinner as i couldnt move more than a couple feet without vomiting and this wasnt a problem for the staff. On check out i apologised to the staff as im sure other guests must have heard me vomiting much to my embarassment. They were naturaly concerned and asked if i was ok. I still felt ill but managed to get to kyoto that day without any emergency stops ( i did have a sick bag all the way there😅)
