Guest Reviews
- Sonja (8/5): - Very friendly host and he brought us a braai when requested. The bed was very comfy. Beautifully kept gardens with some very unusual plants. The microwave had not been cleaned and there were a few utensils that had not been replenished after the previous guests.
- Tiheli (10/5): -
- Roland (10/5): Could not have asked for more. It was everything one could hope for in an overnight stay. - No breakfast offered. Provided our own.
Delightful hosts and family. South Africa is lucky to have folk like them! Google took us on the very corrugated gravel road through Maesels Poort. We were coming from Winburg. Better if the tar road past the airport is recommended.
- Hanlie (10/5): -
- Nikita (9/5): We had a wonderful stay , the perfect spot for an overnight stop. - Very clean and well appointed, comfortable bed , quiet, the garden is beautiful. A dish towel would have been handy. Other than that absolutely no complaints , everything was fantastic.
- Candice (7/5): Lovely, refreshing, old school style. - The gardens are amazing! The decor and design is great. Very clean and comfortable beds. Very impersonal, no interaction with staff at all. Crockery was strange, no breakfast bowls, rather strange dessert bowls on antique stems. Wooden floors shifted exposing nails with downward pressure.
- Ansolet (9/5): -
- Mzuvelile (8/5): - Nature looks good and place where's located TV was not there in my room
- Thandeka Joy (9/5): - Everything was as seen on the website
- Eva (5/5): One night farm stay - Ambiance was nice. Host very friendly and interesting Cleanliness poor. Had to spray for mosquitos at our request, should have been done before arrival.
Extremely pot holled road for last half kilometer to accommodation.
- Harrison (8/5): A well-kept hideaway. Good value for money - Better signage on the road would have helped. We arrived late and couldn't locate the house for a while
- Kagisho (7/5): -
- Papama (7/5): - Heater it was a bit too cold Just the temperature
- Angelique (10/5): - The heated blankets The wooded floors cracking
- Carol (9/5): -
- Christo (9/5): Will certainly stay here again - Loved the location and the little flatlet was clean well equipped and great. We were there 1 June 2025 and the night was very cold. It would great to have some form of heater and well as floor rugs on the floor in front of each bed side.
- Patrick (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ian (9/5): Lovely gardens outside Bloem - Beautiful gardens, quiet. Bottled water. Easy to come and go. The roads leading to Oudam are in very poor condition, especially after heavy rain.

We are much grateful to you for your warmth and sincere hospitality. We wholeheartedly appreciate your kindness.
We enjoyed so much our stay... Such a lovely place you have here. The landscaping is very beautiful. The furnishings are well-thought of and ingeniously re-used and repurposed, aesthetically placed at the same time effective for its practical use.
We would surely come back given an opportunity to have overnights in Bloemfontein again, Oudam is on our top list of accommodation option.
We will see you again very soon. None.
