- Tom (7/5): Conveniently located digs for the night. Get what you pay for. - Travelled for a concert at London Stadium. Was around 30 minutes walk to venue and back. Stayed in the garden room at the back of the house. Fairly comfortable although take a eye mask or something as there is a skylight the length of the ceiling and patio doors without curtains so was in full daylight at 4 in morning. The bathroom and toilet is shared by the whole house and was fully aware of this at booking. On street permit parking was easy to set up with the host- 8 quid for the day. Decent WiFi. Conveniently located for the local shops/ cafes in Forest Gate, 5-10 minutes walk.
- Hnat (6/5): Pleasant - The room for sleeping only (3 persons) was nice. There weren't any major problems with the room. However, there might be some complications with a bathroom (if all rooms are full of guests), since there is only one for all rooms. The last minor issue is a security of the house. The entrance to the property (house + small garden) is a door you cannot even close (the main door to the house was at least just fine) - so we needed to be more cautious that actually anyone could enter the property at any time and watch us through the windows. But throughout the stay, we didn't experience any major problems.
- Nurul (9/5): I would recommend this place. - The neighbourhood is near to everything. Tons of convenience stores. Bonus point, the neighbourhood is so quiet so privacy is secured. On top of that, the cleanliness of the rooms are top notch. And plus the hospitality service by the owner is much appreciated. The check-in system is also very easy and swift. The owner is reachable at any times! The location was quite far as it is located at Zone 2. Also, the toilet has to be shared with the entire household so the cleanliness of the toilet is a bit debatable. We got the room upstairs so a bit hard with our luggages since the stairs very steep and creaky.
- Elizabeth (5/5): Sufficient for a one night stay but for three nights it didn't provide the comfort we wanted. - The location was good for travelling to the Stratford area where we were attending the Sam Fender gig at the London Stadium, it was also easy to get into the East end of London via the train station at Forest Gate which is a short walk away.
The accommodation is located in a quiet residential street and was relatively quiet at night despite some other guests coming in late, luckily they were quiet and considerate as the walls are very thin.
The supervisor of the house Adam was easy to contact, he was friendly and sorted out some problems for us without complaint so we appreciated that.
Easy to check in as the keys are located in a coded locked box outside and we received the code before we arrived. We didn't have any hot water in the shower for the first 24 hours, however, this was rectified by Adam after we complained twice about it.
Unfortunately we stayed during cold weather and there wasn't any heating in the house which meant we couldn't dry our towels on the radiators. We complained about this too but this wasn't rectified.
We hated the shared bathroom as it was tiny, the floor was always soaking wet and we constantly had to wait for other guests using it We have stayed at other places with shared bathrooms and it has never been a problem but this place was very busy during our stay.
The bed wasn't very comfortable, the mattress was too soft and we sank into the centre of it so we didn't sleep very well; the pillows were comfy though.
No facilities for making tea / snacks in the room, all the amenities are shared in a ground floor communal area which wasn't to our liking.
No free parking anywhere in this area, we had to park in a residential bay outside the house and then had to pay £8.00 a day for it which was arranged efficiently by Adam.
- Claire (10/5): Exceptional - Seperate single in triple room.
Quality bedding and towels.
Modern decor.
- Harrison (4/5): Good location and decent price but has issues - Good location, beds were comfy There was no hot water when I first went to have a shower. I told the property owner who then came out and attempted to fix it while I was out, however it seemed that after that point the water would only be lukewarm and then get colder. There was also some broken tiles in the enterance on the floor as you walk in.
- Clair (10/5): Exceptional -
- Matthew (10/5): Wild - Everything was clean. The location was perfect. The landlord is very nice and quick to respond if you need anything. Really great place for the money Doesnt really mention online that its a shared house but either way was still great
- Ismail (10/5): Exceptional -
- Merza (7/5): Good -
- Charlie (6/5): Cheap and cheerful - Good location, near the station Door at the rear of the room had no curtains, lack of privacy in that regard. There was a baby constantly crying throughout the night, understandably not the hotels fault, but it put a sour taste on the stay
- Bastin (8/5): Very good - It was clean and spacious, the bed was very comfy.
- Juliana (9/5): Superb - Very comfortable,clean Liked everything
- Swaraj (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elle (3/5): I wouldn’t stay again - Comfy beds & pillows Room one door locked automatically when we closed the door and the key was in the room. It wasn’t clearly advertised as a shared bathroom for the whole house no where stayed how many rooms in the house. Also a bed and breakfast normally includes breakfast that the staff cook for the people staying but this didn’t happen. Bathroom dirty and not flushing properly. Shower door didn’t close properly. Bathroom cold water not working well from tap barely any cold water came out.
- Olawale (8/5): It’s good enough for the price. - I like that we could park our car for 24 hours at £8. And the apartment is just okay for the price. Of course it’s not a very beautiful place but it’s good enough to pass the night. Plus the staff was very helpful, quick to respond to our requests. Not sure what I didn’t like. I guess it’s just what we can get for the price it was up for in that area of London.
- Pamela (10/5): Very clean room. Excellent kitchen facilities. Host exceedingly helpful & very nice man - Everything would highly recommend Nothing
