Guest Reviews
- David (10/5): Great setting - The setting was perfect, seeing the assortment of birds up close and the privacy of the cottage, very good for the price. The cottage is pretty basic but has everything you need for a few days.
- Alex (9/5): Wonderful stay. Loved the relaxing view from our bedroom - No breakfast
- Scott (9/5): -
- Carike (10/5): - A beautiful and peaceful base from which to explore Greyton - located within walking distance of all the lovely shops and restaurants the town has to offer, though I enjoyed the peace and quiet of the lovely garden and birds it attracts, too. Highly recommended!
- Ailsa (9/5): - A charming cottage with a beautiful view. Very comfortable and peaceful. Super comfy bed! Great outdoor spaces, a little courtyard and front stoep with view of the mountains. Loved my stay here!
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- Nicola (9/5): Beautiful peaceful space for a weekend ( or longer) getaway in Greyton - Incredible mountain views , very nice private part of the garden with lots of beautiful birdlife ...The attached private garden room is a perfect addition...
All in all perfect little hidden spot , situated in a quiet side road...
Wayne has thoughtfully equipped the cottage with a lot of very good information about Greyton and surrounding
... in the cottage there are little notes to explaining everything...
Little chocolates to feel welcomed ,tea, coffee, milk, biscuits all there... The owner cleary put a lot of thoughts into the space.

- Dunlop (5/5): Don't think we will go back again - No breakfast and very little space to make a breakfast No cupboard space very poorly fitted.a massive spider nest in lento the shower was great but onlybthe bed to really sit on fir comfort.zbirds were amazinoʻkitcjen Kitchen very poor .hardly any utensils no cupboards not much space to make food.and lots of ants .we didn't sed our Hosts .it was quite clean Plus the towels were like cardboard very hard

- Philip (10/5): Excellent stay . - The location is excellent as was the free parking . The weather was a bit cold .
- Shafeeqah (10/5): Comfortable stay and amazing bird life! - Host was extremely accommodative and helpful. The bird life and the views at the cottage was amazing. Will definitely be back. The shower didn't have a curtain or a glass screen, so the whole bathroom floor gets wet when taking a shower. Hoping something will be done about this when we come back :)
- Cheryl (9/5): Superb - Loved the solitude, location and privacy . Wayne was great and explained everything whilst standing outside and freezing 🥶 🫠. Bathroom could do with showr curtain
- Colleen (9/5): Peaceful countryside unit. - The accommodation was comfortable and convenient - we did not use our car while we were there. It is at the edge of town so there were horses and cows close by. The bird life in the garden was fantastic. We cycled and walked throughout the town and cycled to Genadendal. There was no shower curtain so the floor got quite wet. There was no hot plate, but we managed without.
- Jedi (9/5): Picture perfect weekend escape - So much to like! The perfect weekend getaway :)
Private, huge garden and everything was spotless and clean. Wayne, the host was very friendly and super helpful. Will definitely visit again. Cant think of anything..
- Mariana (9/5): Very peaceful - A really beautiful location and property! We woke up our first morning to see horses grazing in the garden, and birds flocking to the seeds and sugar water feeder. The property is in an excellent location, and was very peaceful. Not necessarily a negative thing, but just be aware that it gets very cold at night if you are visiting in winter! So make sure to bring lots of warm clothing. The owners did leave lots of blankets and hot water bottles though which is appreciated (unfortunately I only discovered the hot water bottles on the last day!)
- Danielle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alison (8/5): Very good - Great value for money with a wonderful view of the mountains.
- Lourensia (9/5): Superb - The quietness and privacy.
A cozy little place with stunning views. We didn't make use of the dining area, but this could probably be a good shaded area for summer.
The shower do mess quite a bit of water on the floor, but we love the size of the shower.
- Lesley (8/5): Very good - Beautiful view of the surrounding mountains from our room.Quiet and peaceful. No TV
- Tania (10/5): Exceptional - The lovely tranquil garden
- Willem (9/5): Great location, big yard with beautiful view of mountain. Horses feeding right next to property. -
- Zandre (8/5): Very good -
- Stephanie (9/5): Superb - Very friendly and helpful host. The views were beautiful and serene. It is located at the edge of the village but in walking distance from everything. The cottage is exactly as seen in the pictures The cottage lacks a few appliances but overall a very nice experience
