- Allison (8/5): - We got lucky finding free parking on the street not far at all from the stay. When we walked in, we were overwhelmed by the smell of air fresheners. They were everywhere. If you’re someone sensitive to these smells, I would not recommend staying here. We unplugged ours and it took a day for the smell in our apartment to mostly go away. But the hallway and entry way were very strongly fragranced. The kitchen was well stocked with most basic things you’d need! It even had coffee and a French press which was a nice touch. The kitchen sink faucet was loose, the shower temperature was very difficult to adjust. The bed was very comfortable! There were no rugs so the space was very echoey. There were also no hooks to hang jackets or towels or anything. We appreciated being so close to the metro, which we took advantage of, and it was close by a street with many dining options. There’s a bit of a homeless presence nearby but it didn’t affect our stay at all. I think we’d stay here again, and ask that there be no air fresheners in the room ahead of time.

I tried to contact someone about it with but never got a response the whole 3 days we stayed. We had to ask another guest next door what their code was to be able to get back in when we left. - Vivian (2/5): - Terrible service and cleaning. There was broken glass in the shower and we cut our feet off it when we arrived. There was small shards of glass stuck in our feet and we bled quite a bit from the larger pieces of glass. We had complained to Expedia and the hotel refused any compensation. It appears that the glass shower door in our room had broken by the previous guests before our arrival since our shower was missing a door and the rubber stoppers were set to the side. There was also glass chipped off of a picture frame they had. So it was clear some sort of glass had been broken in the bathroom. Overall would not recommend based on the fact that the simplest safety and cleaning procedures were not taken when there was clearly broken glass present in the unit.
- Anil (8/5): - Property was nice and well outfitted. The door closing however was not good (the door could not shut properly unless extensively banged). The bedding, such as pillows and blankets were of very, very poor quality, especially the pillow. Cleanliness of the linens were also questionable. Communication from the property is also a bit weak. They did not respond to my Expedia messages nor my texts, however they were not urgent requests. I would return, the unit is basic but does the job and is in a fantastic location.

When they sent me information for checking into the property, there was no indication of the source of this cryptic communication (text), so I treated it as spam. The result was that it took me some time to figure out how to get into the place when I arrived. I would advise that Namaste Suites identify itself in its communication with new customers.

- Gail McSheffery (6/5): Stay - Our stay was good . Had almost everything we needed. No towels stocked in bathroom no facecloths /wash clothes at all. Asked and they said they never had such a thing. If I had known would have brought ours from home. Only 1 dishwasher pod could have used more as we had to leave dirty dishes in dishwasher. More tide pods would have been nice .Dresser in bathroom had someone’s dirty sock left behind . Noisy outside as someone was working . Enjoyed the two room bedrooms. Clean foyer and smelled clean Parking is terrible has to lug all luggage in the rain not nice no place to park other than under ground down the road

I communicated with the host, but nothing was resolved. There is a lot of construction going on but everything is very much walkable so not really an issue. We also had a vehicle and it wasn’t at all hard getting around. The building was also very clean inside as well and smelled great!

- Robert (10/5): - The suite is spacious with new furniture and appliances. The property and rooms are very clean. It is easy to get in as the property sends codes in good timing. It is close to Berri/UQAM métro so easy to get around and also close to groceries. If you have mobility issues entry to the building is not easy. The only issue is that there is no staff on site and there was a loud party happening in another suite. Overall, great place to stay as it’s clean and spacious.

One note, the second bedroom doesn’t have a door, so anyone sleeping there won’t be able to until the tv is off. A lot of construction going on in Montreal. - Vyacheslav (2/5): Badrooms in basement. - We are in room on first floor. . Bedrooms located in basement, with concrete selling, and wet smell in the rooms. It was not disclosed before we book the room and on website pictures the bedrooms are with big windows with white, nive selling. See pictures how looks bedroom in our suit. We feel money has to be refunded. I would NEVER book room with kids in basement. No one picture on website shows bedrooms in basement. It is ablosutly not what we paid for. Will put claim on it if owner will not fully refund us . I prefer to be informed in advaced about it. P. S. Starting 1 a.m in basement bedrooms you will here runing water in sewer system, which just behind or in the beddroms wall. 3 am still running. Totally sleepless night . This hottel need to be sued for do not providing trully info about their rooms and for ruin vocation.

- Yeshayahu (10/5): - Pros: The property was well maintained, well supplied, and secure. Very easy to adjust climate. Was easy to stream and cast shows from my computer using airplay. Cons: I found the sound proofing was a bit weak, and I could hear people above walking around, as well as people closing doors below me and in the hall ways. I almost got locked out of my unit when the batteries in the door ran out of power. Suggest bringing 4 AA batteries just in case. Pillows were a bit low budget, bring your own if you can.
- Melanie (8/5): - The apartment itself was really beautiful and comfortable. The kitchen was REALLY well stocked, the bed was comfortable, etc. However, the reason I cannot give this property 5 stars is the fact that we had absolutely no hot water for the entire duration of our stay, and we got zero response whatsoever from the hotel when we tried to contact them about it. While I would probably stay here again based on the actual physical apartment, I would be quite nervous about the lack of front desk and complete non-responsiveness from management (what if the problem had been even more urgent?) Overall, I recommend the property to a certain degree, I just would encourage the hotel owners to figure out their communication issues. (NOTE: I might not recommend this property to a single female traveler based on the somewhat sketchy neighbourhood)
- Jovencio (8/5): - I would give this property a 5 if the TV was working. Otherwise, the location is great, quiet inside, and great kitchen. The laundry area is a big plus.
- Alastair (6/5): - This apartment was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. We would have happily stayed for the whole duration of our booking were it not for 2 problems that were compounded by absent communication from the owners. Firstly the HULU TV set did not function in the living room area. This was just an inconvenience. However, the entire hot water supply to the apartment (but not the building) stopped half way through our week long stay. Despite repeated phone calls/voice mails and emails to the owners, our problem was not acknowledged let alone responded to or corrected. After 48 hours we felt unable to stay any longer (we were getting smelly) and we booked into the Hyatt down the road. Expedia customer service helpline (a real human) was really helpful and agreed that the service was unacceptable. They arranged a partial refund which we received promptly. I really do not like leaving negative reviews, as i do think this building an apartment was very good otherwise.

- ALAIN (8/5): - This property seems to have been build fairly recently. It is built with a good layout and well thought out. The accommodation is a home away from home and made perfect sense to us. The location has ample public transports about and is convenient for a first (or 20) time visitors with also quick access to & fro the airport. Montreal is a very interesting city to visit and we plan on coming back and Namaste hotel will be our go place.
- Jacqueline (10/5): - We really enjoyed the location of this property, as it was in close proximity to the Metro station as well as close to dining and entertainment. The property's photos and description are accurate. We only needed to contact the property manager once for a minor issue, and the manager was readily available even in the later hours of the evening. It was very nice to have a washer/dryer in our suite. As for parking, there is a 24 hour garage across the street. You just pull up to the entrance and it opens the door. Once in you will be able to get the ticket that you take with you, as it allows you to access the garage 24/7 until you are ready to leave. As with some of the other reviews, there are some street folks in the general area but we did not feel unsafe. As with any city, you need to exercise common sense. We avoided walking near the park at night.

When you walk in the apartment, you’re in the kitchen with a living room that has a pull out couch. There is a code to get into the apartment and a different code to get into the entire building which I liked. The area was a little sketchy. A lot of homeless people and people seemingly on drugs. We felt safe in the building, and there were other hotels on the street which was reassuring. But would not walk around at night. Felt fine during the day. I stayed with my husband and three small children. Would stay here again.
