• Chhandita (1/5): Horrible! - location the owner who is an elderly person is full of himself. Keeps on boasting about his family members - saying they are doctors, mbas and what not and that they always travel via flights (not sure why he kept on repeating this). Now regarding the stay - we were given a room at the ground floor. The ground floor is chaotic - as the owner keeps on shouting at the top of his voice telling the success stories of his family members to the hotel residents. We were completely exhausted and wanted a secluded room so that we could get a good night’s sleep. There was a foreigner couple who was checkin in front of us and the owner himself suggested that he would allot a room on the upper floors instead of the ground floor saying it would be too disturbing and noisy there. At first we thought he was kidding and then he allotted the same. We could hardly sleep and requested the owner to allot a different. On the contrary he suggested that we use cotton buds to avoid the noise. He also asked us to vacate at 9:30 AM though our reservation was until 11AM. He also mentioned that he always keeps the rooms neat and clean. This ain’t the case at all. The room was cold, damp and full of dust. The basic amenities like -toiletries (towels, soap, toothpaste) were missing. In short, the bitter experience spoiled our trip to Mathura . oh and he also suggested that we book a villa next time so that there is no noise . He told us that we were expected to bear with him , meaning to adjust ourselves to those disturbances as if that is what we paid for. pathetic! never ever recommending this stay to anyone.
• Mariana (10/5): Great guesthouse in the center. - The owner was so nice to us, we are his first foreign guests. He will help you with everything. The rooms are very clean and spacious. Simple but everything is there, hot water, tv and big beds. For the price it’s all we ask for. Nothing. The location is also very good.
