Guest Reviews
- Toni (10/5): Highly recommend would stay again - It was stunning. Lovely big rooms, gorgeous art on the walls, fully equipped kitchen. Beautiful place to base yourself in Clare Valley. Treat yourself 😊
- jocelyn (9/5): Great Clare getaway
In - The size of the rooms
Huge ceilings
Beautiful bedrooms
To be able to stay with our pup
The bed in the master bedroom was devine, so comfortable. One of the best mattresses I've ever slept on Nothing
We didn't realise the Rodeo was on, on the Saturday night. Music on until 1.30am but not in Sue's control!
- Jane (9/5): Calm, relaxing, easy living, great location. - The house was lovely, Easy to live in, clean and everything we needed was there. There was plenty of breakfast, comfortable beds, each with a lovely view of the garden. There were plenty of spaces to sit outside and enjoy listening to the birds. We even had a resident blue tongue lizard visit us. The location was quiet and an easy 5 minute drive into Clare or to winery's. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and would happily stay at Piambong house again. We appreciated the email updates before our arrival and departure. There really wasn't anything we didn't like.
- Jessica (10/5): Piambong House is delightful in every way - We have stayed at Piambong House a couple of times now and it is genuinely a home away from home. It is styled beautifully, spacious and both indoor and outdoor areas are well thought through for guests. We will be back for sure.
- Glen (9/5): -
- kim (10/5): Great girls trip away - The location was great. Bedrooms were nice and big.
- Mim&L (10/5): I would highly recommend Piampong house for a great get away. - The house felt like home the minute we walked in. Large living areas and bedrooms. There were ample breakfast options for our stay.
This location is great. At the information centre we did wine and gin tasting. It was a lovely walk to Sevenhill cellars. Nothing.
- Julie (9/5): The perfect place to stay in the Clare Valley. - The property is clean and bright and beautifully decorated. Very well fitted out with everything you could possibly need. Everything was great.
- Fiona (10/5): - Location, peacefulness. Place was spotless and well stocked. Definitely be back. Leaving!!!
- Judith (10/5): Awesome! - It was very clean and welcoming.
- Vicki (10/5): -
- Sandra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alison (9/5): Beautiful home for my sister and I to indulge ourselves to escape from our busy lives. - The home was beautifully presented. The sense of space and comfort was appreciated. Everything you needed was provided. Breakfast provisions were great. Not enough firewood provided for a 2 night stay. The house was cold as the temperature control on the air conditioning system was hard to get the house warm enough on the first nights stay.
- Adam (10/5): Exceptional - Great family sized home. Modern clean and fresh.
Good facilities and even had an EV charger.
Would fully recommend.
- Corey (10/5): Perfect in everyway. - Beautifully finished large property, with all the modern conveniences, including an electric vehicle charger, which was very handy. Perfect spot, great setting, with plenty of space and peaceful surrounds. Nothing to fault. Exceptional service
- Liz (9/5): Superb - Excellent location with spacious rooms and great air conditioning on a hot weekend Undercover parking would be a good addition.
- Lee (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful and clean, great location
- Ross (8/5): Very comfortable house in a beautiful location - An old cottage on which has been lavished a good deal of money to make a very comfortable venue. The (3) bedrooms are generous in size and well finished for short stays (plenty of room to lay out luggage etc). The timber flooring was of high quality and the interior presented beautifully. The layout would appeal to families (part of the verandah is enclosed and forms a 'hideaway' for kids). Unfortunately, neither the bathroom nor shower room was en-suite. The shower room/toilet was at the opposite end of the house and, in contrast with the bathroom, not much thought had been put in to its finishing (and nearly all the towel rails were coming off the wall). Using PVC-wrapped kitchen cupboard doors gives a good finish - but setting up a toaster on the bench below is not a particularly good idea. The cutlery/ crockery was a mixed bag (surely in a property of this standard complete/ matched sets can be provided) and the cutlery drawer was not clean. Ceiling speakers were a nice touch, but their mounting position on the verandah is only relevant when using that (relatively unattractive) space. Outdoor furniture had not be cleaned for some time.
- Hogan (10/5): Great house and keen to re-visit - Tastefully furnished, large, comfortable bedrooms, great location in a rural setting but very close to Clare and Sevenhill. Nothing.
- Glenda (7/5): Overall a very pleasant stay - The place is very well set up. Plenty of kitchen tools etc. Excellent provisions for breakfast, tea, coffee, milk etc. Frypans worn on inside. BBQ not easy to cook on
- Scott (10/5): Exceptional - What a beautiful house to stay in. Pretty much the dream country house. It’s huge and very well decorated. Also, dog friendly is amazing with such a nice place in a great area. N/A
- Kate (10/5): Life in the slow lane, rejuvenating. - Comfortable, relaxing and quiet. Pet friendly. Close enough to the rail trail for safely walking the dog. Nice walk into Clare for coffee and cake. Plenty of wineries to visit close by, some within walking distance.
- Bruce (9/5): Superb -
- Lee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Margaret (10/5): Wonderful and like a home away from home - Comfortable and spacious , loved the combustion fire which was well stocked with wood Couldn’t work out how to turn n the heating at the panel
- Laura (9/5): Superb - This house was perfect for what we needed. It is very well appointed with plenty of breakfast options and wood for the fire. The beds were comfortable and it is in a fantastic location. I would recommend this place to stay in the Clare Valley and would come back. Nothing, it was all great.
- Peter (10/5): Absolutely fantastic - Simple More hanging space by rail under bedroom shelves
Clarity re dishes. Frame in house says stack dishwasher. Email says all dishes to be cleaned and stored before leaving
- Shanelle (8/5): A wonderful weekend getaway - Lovely location. Excellent house and bedrooms so comfortable. Just a few new cooking pots and saucepans would be good
- Carol (10/5): We all had a fun, very warm and comfortable happy stay. -
- Angela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jennifer (9/5): Superb -
- Elizabeth (9/5): Superb - Lovely house in a great location. Very quiet location, spacious bedrooms and living area, well equipped kitchen and house overall.

- Alysha (10/5): Beautiful quiet place - This place was beautiful nothing to fault!
Sue was an excellent host and very helpful and active to answer any questions.
It was quiet which was perfect no town or neighbour noise.
- Judith (9/5): Fantastic and so comfortable and convenient. - Fabulous well appointed house in a perfect position for visiting the Clare Valley A small inconvenience was that the bathroom and toilet were a long way from the bedrooms especially for night use.
- Cameron (8/5): Very good -
- Daniela (10/5): Thank you very much Sue we really loved our stay -
- Stuart (9/5): Recently refurbished Triple double bedroom heaven in the wine growing region of Clare Valley - Spacious, modern, well equipped kitchen, great breakfast, 3 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, very nice verandah and outdoor entertaining area As it’s a country residence you need to be prepared for insects
- Rosemary (10/5): Great - Very stylish. Well equipped. Beds wonderful
- Margo (9/5): Great property for family or couples. Everything you need. - Spacious and comfortable Only the millipedes
- Helen (10/5): Absolutely amazing property - clean, fresh, comfortable and beautifully decorated. - The house was exceptionally clean and fresh, with three large, modern bedrooms. There was a separate laundry and two number of bathrooms. The kitchen was very well equipped, including a large fridge, dishwasher, microwave, Miele coffee machine, toaster, electric oven and induction cooktop. Plenty of utensils, glassware and crockery. The dining room adjoined the kitchen. The house featured a large loungeroom with smart TV with access to all of the usual streaming services. There was also a small room off to the side with a separate TV for the kids. We enjoyed the porch swing on the front porch. The host had provided milk, juice, butter, bacon, eggs and a selection of jams for breakfast, as well as a selection of cereal (Weetbix, cornflakes etc). The entire house was impeccably and tastefully decorated. We had a wonderfully relaxing stay. Nothing.
- Sarah (10/5): Highly recommended place to stay in the Clare valley. - Our stay at Piambong house was absolutely amazing. Sue was a fantastic host and answered our questions very promptly. The property itself was was stunning and has been updated to a very high standard with decorations, furniture and artwork all combining to create a fantastic sense of relaxation. The bedrooms were extremely comfortable. The house had it all and we will definitely stay again next time we are in Clare. It was perfect.
- Jasmine (10/5): Relaxing, stress free beautiful accomodation - So we’ll set out. So many extras that made a stay away from home comfortable and stress free. Easy to access key and excellent communication with owners.
- Alison (9/5): Superb -
- Barbara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lyn (10/5): Excellent accomodation great weather great weekend - Every thing was perfect thank you If anything maybe bigger rubbish bin inside
- Anne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Britt (10/5): If you’re after a spacious, comfortable and peaceful place to stay, this is an absolute gem! - Spacious, well equipped, super comfortable beds, luxurious bed linen, ample breakfast provisions, two bathrooms, lovely big garden, ducted heating and cooling, coffee machine, easy check in! Stayed with my geriatric father and one of his old mates. Place was very suitable for them with their walking sticks. It was also very peaceful, close drive to the nice bakery at Greg Cooley, Indii restaurant and Pauletts. Fabulous!!! Nothing negative to say!
- Susan (7/5): Good - Location Quiet Clean Would have appreciated heating in the bathroom to be able to enjoy a bath and extra blankets for the beds
- Ann (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cathy (10/5): Amazing, fun and beautiful stay - It was just amazing. So clean, comfortable and very welcoming Nothing
- Claudia (10/5): Exceptional house would definitely stay there again and recommend - Everything was great breakfast provisions were ample Nothing
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- Frahn (10/5): Exceptional - A beautiful house, very tastefully decorated. Lovely breakfast supplied.
Plenty of wood for the fire, both inside and for the fire pit. Could have done with a little more cutlery, but otherwise the kitchen was well equipped
- Dave (8/5): Fantastic accommodation in the Clare Valley. - Beautifully renovated house with lovely artwork set in impressive gardens. We enjoyed the indoor fire and appreciated the generous supply of wood, and sitting around the fire in the outdoor brazier was a wonderful memory! Very well set up and welcoming for pets. Our host Sue was very helpful and responsive. A couple of suggestions would be extra blankets in the bedrooms and perhaps some rugs would help the house not be quite so 'echoey'.
- Tracey (10/5): Sensational - Beautiful house in an excellent location. Would highly recommend, Sue was lovely and so nice to deal with.
- Guppster (10/5): Great place to stay in the Clare - Wonderful accommodation beautifully kitted out and the breakfast produce was well received. Communication with Sue was easy and with taxis getting around was easy. Nothing really, had everything we needed.
- Josh (9/5): Superb -
- Matthew (10/5): Lovely and comfortable - The fire was lovely
Lobed the renovations
Felt like home The cookware was very average. Probably the only thing that needs fixing some decent pots and pans and knife's.
