Po pierwsze, jacuzzi która zalała nam cały pokój pierwszego dnia i jej czystość która pozostawia wiele do życzenia. Po drugie, GRZYB NA ŚCIANACH przy jacuzzi… chyba nie muszę nic więcej dodawać. Po trzecie, czystość łazienki, armatury, schodów do jacuzzi, podłogi, prześcieradła itd. Kolejna sprawa, przestarzałe i ledwo domykające się okna przez które w nocy docierało zimne powietrze z zewnątrz a do przykrycia się były tylko prześcieradła. I myślę, że już ostatnie - zarządca, z którym kompletnie nie można porozumieć się po angielsku..

• Qilin (7/5): It’s okay I guess - It’s probably one of the cheapest offers in the market. You get what you pay for. It’s kinda noisy as it’s right next to a street and the window is not quite soundproof… No kitchen, only bathroom.
• Katarzyna (8/5): - Fajne, niskobudżetowe miejsce. Wystarczy, żeby się przespać, zrobić herbatę. Niedaleko fajne muzeum zoologiczne, na dole sklepik, jakiś bar. Ogólnie spokojne miejsce, tylko warto wiedzieć, że na przeciwko jest siedziba straży pożarnej, a niedaleko szpital, więc nocą bywa różnie z ciszą. Prysznic. Warto byłoby naprawić prysznic bo chlapie. Zostawienie kluczy w pokoju przez wyjeżdżających, jest trochę problematyczne, ponieważ po drodze do wyjścia trzeba otworzyć dwie pary zamkniętych na zamek drzwi. Dwie osoby ogarną, ale jedna raczej nie. W pokoju przydałby się koc.

• Giuseppe (1/5): Ti dò un solo asciugamani e ci fai tutto! - La posizione, non molto distante dal centro. L'host dà un solo asciugamani grande per ciascun ospite, con il quale ci si dovrebbe far tutto (faccia, bidet, doccia), per il quale al quarto giorno di permanenza ho dovuto chiedere il cambio. La doccia ha il flessibile rotto e quindi fuoriesce acqua da tutte le parti, e oltretutto, mancando anche le ante scorrevoli per poterla chiudere, l'acqua bagnava tutto il pavimento. Non c'era nemmeno un telo da mettere a terra per poggiare i piedi. In sette giorni di permanenza la biancheria del letto non è stata cambiata. Si tratta di una sistemazione più adatta a chi cerca una camera d'appoggio per qualche ora, non per un soggiorno di media o lunga permanenza. Si affaccia su una strada molto trafficata, quindi se a qualcuno dà fastidio sentire continuamente clacson e sirene, è assolutamente sconsigliato.

• Miladinovska (7/5): - I really liked the location – even though it’s not right in the city center, the area was very nice, quiet, and easy to get around from. The room itself was okay, nothing fancy, but it had everything necessary for a comfortable stay. Aside from that, everything was in good order, and the owner was very nice and quick to reply to any messages. The only issue was with the bathroom. I understand it’s a shared bathroom, so expectations should be managed, but the shower could use a bit of improvement.
• Samantha (7/5): Non chiamate i pompieri! - Sono partita con poche pretese. Appartamento pulito. Buona posizione, centrale. Mi sono trovata bene, sono stata tutto il giorno fuori, e al rientro avevo quasi tutto il necessario. L'host non ha risolto piccoli impedimenti come la mancanza della chiave utile per l'uso dell'ascensore. Senza sono stata costretta a scendere a piedi (solo un piano). La cucina o simile mi è mancata. Appartamento di fronte la caserma dei vigili del fuoco. Purtroppo poco collegata dai mezzi, nel caso ne neccessitiate. Si sentono tutti i rumori degli altri ospiti. Non ero sicura che in bagno fossero presenti accessori di cui avrei potuto usufruire in quanto sarebbero potuti appartenere all'ospite dell'altra camera.
• Angelo (2/5): Bad stay - Room was clean. Poor Communications. There is a lock box, and I had to call his phone number for the code. I was lucky I had a phone with a SIM card. It should have been emailed before. Also, there was no water in the area for 3 days prior. I realize it is not his fault that there is no water, but he should have told us days before so that we could have canceled and found another place. There was no water for the bathroom, drinking or showers. He would bring up buckets of water so that we could flush the toilet. I just feel it was very dishonest of him not to tell us until we got there. He knew that the city was doing works on the water.

• Ivan (3/5): Blatte in casa! Urge disinfestazione! - La posizione era buona, non molto distante dal centro storico e da altre fermate dei mezzi pubblici, bar e discount a pochi metri. L' appartamento era carino, con aria condizionata in camera in un bel condominio con ascensore Ci sono le blatte in casa (una specie piccola, assomigliano a formiche). Ci vuole una disinfestazione, dovrebbe rimanere chiuso per qualche giorno e disinfestare, ma evidentemente il gestore è più interessato al guadagno che alla cura dell' ospite. Manca uno sportello nella doccia del bagno, quando ti fai la doccia esce tutta l' acqua e la fessura è lurida nera antigienica.

• Barbone (4/5): - Il costo è ovviamente un vantaggio ma vista la qualità diventa quasi inutile Il bagno è praticamente inutilizzabile perché la cabina doccia non ha un’anta e appena apri l’acqua esce completamente fuori e non viene dato neanche un tappetino.

Posizione molto comoda La vasca era mal funzionate, faceva tanto rumore e si sentiva tutto nelle altre stanze. Il pavimento rialzato per via del acqua e mancanza di tappeti per evitare di bagnarlo. Letto scomodo, bagno senza finestre e con un pavimento orribile.

The place is very clean. Not enough hand soap. The bedroom doors have a glass panel that lights up the whole room if anyone turns on the hallway light late at night.

• Dragana (5/5): Ledena voda za tuširanje i mravi po celom objektu - Udoban krevet i posteljina je lepo mirisala Bojler ne radi, kupali smo se ledenom vodom i bilo je mrava u sobi i u celom objektu. Vlasnik kaže da ne zna da bojler ne radi a vidim da su mu i drugi gosti pisali da nema tople vode. On to nije do sada popravio pa ako želi bolju ocenu mora to da popravi i da resi insekte u objektu.

Posizione ottima per il centro di Catania se si dispone di un mezzo di trasporto. La camera necessiterebbe di alcuni interventi di ristrutturazione e una maggiore attenzione alla pulizia.

Facile da trovare, quasi sulla strada principale L’ascensore funziona solo per salire, ma fortunatamente è solo un piano. Ho trovato solo 1 set di teli, in questo caso eravamo marito e moglie allora abbiamo utilizzato lo stesso telo per la doccia, ma saremmo potuti essere due amici o non familiari perciò secondo me i teli vanno messi individuali, a prescindere.

• Dean (3/5): NOT SAFE - TOXIC mold in shower, broken shower door, no night lighting on stairwell. - The keys were easily accessable and the instructions were clear. We had a horrible overnight stay at The Orchidea House. The problems we encountered were easily avoidable and put us in an unhealthy and dangerous situation. We followed instructions from Booking.com to first bring this to the attention of the host and were unsuccessful. We clearly communicated our complaint to our hotel host about unsatisfactory conditions and shared photos and the hotel host. The host admitted prior knowledge of the problems. We requested a refund and were denied. We were simply advised to write a negative review. Here you go. We are not in the habit of looking for problems, frequently write positive reviews, and we are generous giving compliments. This is the exception. Surprisingly, the host admitted to knowing, prior to our occupancy, that the unit suffered these problems. The shower door was missing resulting in dirty water flooding the bathroom floor. The shower wand was broken and unable to be solid and secure at any height. It was a terrible mess. Worst of all, the shower was infested with a great amount of TOXIC BLACK MOLD, rendering it unclean and a severe danger to health. These unsanitary and unsafe conditions rendered the shower useless, the bathroom floor flooded, and our stay was troubling, unhealthy, and completely unacceptable. (see photos) Plus, the lobby of the building inside the front door was not lighted at all and the stairway to the room was pitch dark as there was no illuminating night light making it difficult to safely see all the steps. This unfortunate condition creates a dangerous slip and fall accident just waiting to happen.
• Roberta (8/5): Good - Very clean place, spacious room, AC working (very useful during 40* degrees weather..small fridge in the room, extra pillows available, our room had also a small balcony. Few small things could be improved which could make it 5 stars, toiletries was missing (shower gel, shampoo) , however there is a shop just down the road, the door is not see through, but lets lots of light in from the corridor, which could be annoying for some people. (Toilet paper could be slightly better quality) Over all I would recommend this place.

It's a few rooms plus a bathroom with a shower which was expected -- but there's no table. Not in your private space, not in any shared space, nowhere. The shower cabin is in very poor condition. Very very noisy. You can't believe how noisy. While the entrance is from a side street the window opens to the main street and just across you have the Vigili del Fuoco - Comando Provinciale Catania , let me translate: Fire Department Provincial Command. Sirens. Sirens. Sirens. Always. It's the main fire hall. It advertises air conditioning and I guess technically there's one but it's totally inadequate for the room. It helps a little but it was still way too hot. The owner didn't send instructions before I got there and I needed to wait for those in this heat on the street.

The room and bathroom were very clean, comfortable bed. The noise from the street was quite loud because the windows do not close very tightly, you need earplugs to sleep. There was a kettle, tea and coffee in the room, but there were plastic cups. It was impossible to brew coffee in them in the morning

As for a 3-day vacation super On the downside, unfortunately, there was no hot water during our stay. The soundproofing is also poor, but in principle, it did not bother us. The jacuzzi was clean and easy to use, spacious and we were provided bubble bath soap and 3 packets of rose petals! They even left a bottle of water for us in the fridge. Clean bathroom. Comfortable bed. Spacious balcony. Absolute 10 out of 10!

You can walk around the furniture in the room and in the bathroom, the doors creak very loudly, otherwise nothing to fill in.

• Jerez (6/5): Enough for somethig cheap and quick , not long stay - I liked to have a good size room and bed. Also it was nice to have air conditioning but the control was confusing. It 's nice that if you arrive late at night the owner left you the keys on a security box for you to have it, I didin't like the entrance and elevator that was really precarious, and the way the house was distributed. It was a really old house although renovated. I had to pay extra 2 euros per night just as a tax for tourism.
• Glpl (8/5): Top value for money - There are a total of three rooms, next to each other. I booked the smallest/cheapest of the three. There was much to like. The bed was comfy, the facilities were very clean, the host was nice and there is an amazing pizzeria across the street, next to the fire department. Overall great value for money. The location is close to the city centre so it was easy to get around even without the bus. Parking can also be found nearby depending on the time of day. Despite the fact that I liked the location, it has to be mentioned that being next to the fire department and a wide road produced great noise (and headaches) in the mornings. We were woken up from the sirens and morning traffic frequently. Thankfully we weren't really planning to sleep in during our stay but maybe this room isn't the best choice for lengthy stays.
• Larissa (8/5): Good stay, even though a bit far from the center - For the price this room was really good and also everything was fine with the shared bathroom, clean etc. For the sake of ALL the guests please repair the door of the room. It is screeching horribly loud when opened. I think when we left for the airport at 4am the other guests hated us so much but it wasn’t possible to move this door even a bit without making such a loud noise which also woke each other of us up in the night.

• Gabrielius (9/5): Brilliant place to stay in Catania - Good location for local transport and the stadium, house clean and tidy, comfy bed.
• Jelena (5/5): Unsatisfactory experience - Location is acceptable although firifigters station is under balcony so you will be able to sleap if they do not intervene a lot. Coffee shop is close to the place as well as parking, supermarket and food stores (burger place, arancini shop, pizza place and gas station). From the bus/train station you need 40 minutes of walk and if you plan to use bus/ to explore around it will take you a lot of time. Host do not speak any other language than Italian, and he is not investing any effort to use internet to explain any useful tips or instructions. Room walls are paper thin and you will participate in other guests phone calls and any movement in the room or in the hall. There is one toilete that could be used by one person at the time. This place is rated by 3 stars but it could be barely compared with average hostel.
