- Catherine (9/5): -
- Anna (9/5): - Great location. Sunny and warm. Comfy beds and stylish interior.
- Sue (8/5): Highly recommend - Great location. Well
Stocked, comfy beds . Would recommend
- Suki (8/5): Cute cottage in a great location! - The location was great for a family who arrived by train. The outdoor shower, pizza oven and layout of the house was nice. The kitchen needs lots of items including more pots and baking pans. There were only 3 wine glasses. We boight a pizza peel to use pizza oven. The back bedroom has poor ventilation and was hot. A fan would be a good addition.
- Josie (9/5): A cosy home with all the amenities we need, such as great beds, fireplace and close to the town. - Loved the comfortable beds. fantastic shower and bathroom. Cosy especially on the rainy day we had with the fire on. Would have been great with a bigger television.
- David (10/5): -
- Janet (7/5): Great holiday place for travelling with dogs and very convenient for everything in Kaikoura. - It is a beautifully renovated cottage and excellent for travelling with dogs. We were a family group of 6 and it was very accommodating and comfortable. There was no BBQ so we had to use the stove for cooking everything. There was an outdoor pizza oven but we were not there long enough to get it fired up. The kitchen lacked some basic things like oven dishes. There was no WiFi available in the sleepout which was awkward. Also the dishwasher was in the garage which was also awkward.
- Sarah (10/5): -
- stephen (8/5): Cosy, warm oasis - Cosy, very comfortable and well equipped Road noise
- Kim (10/5): Beautiful cottage in a great Kaikoura location - Really lovely character cottage with beautiful furnishings. Really welcoming and homely space. Nothing
- Nicola (10/5): Exceptional - Stunning property. So homely. Very comfortable. Lots of space for us all. Great location for shops and cafes. Road noise was a bit of an issue
- Suzy (9/5): Beautifully presented character property, would stay again - Great stay thank you! It would be handy to have a couple of extra blankets available for the beds once the autumn / winter starts
- Bridget (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emily (10/5): Very charming, cozy cottage, comfortable and clean, we loved our stay here. - beautifully decorated, very comfortable, very clean, great beds, excellent location
- Diane (8/5): A great stay - Excellent location. Very comfortable beds and ideal for a family or small group of friends A slight doggy smell when we entered the property
- Martin (8/5): Very good -
- Sahni (7/5): Overall great - We really liked the feeling of the place, light, clean and comfortable. Really easy communication with the property managers. Busy road, loud trucks passing.
- Maria (8/5): Comfortable and great for our family - traveling with older parents who would have appreciated the TV or WiFi working in - Clean , comfortable, location TV and WiFi in adjacent bedroom:outbuilding not working
- Tyson (10/5): We had a fabulous Christmas and New Years with family staying at Kōwhai Cottage and highly recommend to anyone planning - Beautifully restored cottage, love the bathroom and the self contained sleepout was perfect for the teenager. We travel with our dogs every where and it was very secure and safe for them. We brought our boat with us and although we made it work it wasn’t ideal. With the busy main road and narrow drive it was a mission getting the boat in and out.
- Sabrina (10/5): Exceptional - A lovely homely cottage with space for everyone. Great outside area for wearing clothes Nothing
- Pantira (8/5): Very good -
- Jill (8/5): Very good - Road noise was consistent all night as cottage located on main highway
- Chris (8/5): Excellent house for a short stay - We enjoyed our stay at the property. There were seven of us and there was ample room. The kitchen was well appointed and the beds comfortable. Was great to be able to bring the dogs as well. The house was handy to the beach and town. Being on the main road, there was a lot of traffic outside, but it’s fully fenced and gated so that wasn’t a problem really.
- George (10/5): Exceptional - Stunning, beautiful , spacious yet comfy n cosy house excellent location to everything. Best property we stayed in on our tiki tour around South island . We loved it soo much we were sad to leave . Nothing
- Futcher (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful property
- Chris (4/5): Facilities in need of repair, good location - Good location, close to shops and town. The facilities were old and falling apart. The sink was leaking, it was old and rusty, the toilet door at the second toilet literally fell off as it wasn't welded on. So all six of us had to share the main working toilet.
- helpful to inform guests that the second toilet is located outside the main house and in the little granny flat.
- wifi security needs to be secured as it was left open (that means anyone can access the gadgets who are logged on to the wifi - including guests' phones and laptops).
- Aida (10/5): I absolutely enjoyed my stay will definitely come back. - I love love love the interior decoration. It feels so warm and cosy. Every little detail makes me feel like home. It looks small from outside but very spacious inside . The kitchen well equip and rustic fireplace like icing on a cake . I wish we could have stayed longer It’s very near a main road and railway. At night the sound of trucks passing by can be heard from the bedroom.
- Fifa (8/5): loved it, loved the style! - Such beautiful style.
Great location we think there was a dead mouse somewhere in the kitchen...lingering smell
- Manisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Janet (10/5): Exceptional - great property very comfortable beds and great facilities!
- Janet (9/5): Superb - Nice property with great kitchen facilities, very comfortable beds, and the deck out the back with the couch was lovely in the sunny afternoon.
- Craig (9/5): Superb - Great off street parking , secure and dog friendly
Clean with really comfortable beds and pillows Easy walk to town for tourist attractions and eating out options within a short stroll of house
- Paul (9/5): Stunning property, has been beautifully appointed - Really beautiful home, photos didn’t do property justice. Real wow factor, shame we only had one night. It’s a short drive into Kaikoura and excellent communication from host. Really loved it! Nothing! Couldn’t see a dishwasher but not an issue as only there one night!
- Malu (10/5): Great. - The furniture in the house and all the facilities and utensils and appliances. There was confusion in locating the house and we entered the wrong property at first.
