- Bhanja (10/5): Would definitely recommend it to peers and would love to get back sometime again - Excellent for a staycation by the beach, proximity to nearby spots apt too
- alka (1/5): Not going back - It smells, no working staff at all times, and rude owners. It is a Veg place which is not written any where in the description of the property. Better if you book something near varsoli as this one is a locally owned resort with no professionalism at all. The owner made us cancel the booking. It smells, no working staff at all times, and rude owners. It is a Veg place which is not written any where in the description of the property. Better if you book something near varsoli as this one is a locally owned resort with no professionalism at all. No humility.
- Soumyadipta (10/5): - The location, openness of the glass cottage amidst nature.Ovetall design and concept. Washroom does not have curtains from inside and few utilities
- Dr Devika (10/5): Excellent place to stay when in Alibaug! - Great feeing to stay in a wonderful glass cabin. Very close to the beach. Friendly staff & helpful people around. I wish there was a way to charge my electric class closeby or at the property
- Vinod (10/5): A hidden gem - Really liked our stay at Seaswan resort. The place is at a walkable distance from a private beach. The Chalet (room) was very beautiful, spacious and very well maintained .There is a lot of greenery around. The food was awesome as it was home cooked. Special thanks to the owner Mr Pankaj for being such a nice host.
Will definitely recommend it to my friends and will love to visit again. Nothing
- Devangi (1/5): - Very bad experience with host. Misbehaving and rude. Behaviour of owner
- Abhijit (2/5): Very helpful people, but the property is dirty with unhygienic surroundings......very badly managed - WE DID NOT STAY IN THIS PROPERTY AFTER SEEING IT. The fact that it was full of trees, even though it was set in someone's unkempt backyard WE DID NOT STAY IN THIS PROPERTY but manage to explore it to decide whether we could adjust. But decided against staying there because of the reasons stated below......we were fooled by wrong info on booking.com website.
The beach was an apology of a beach, being very dirty and not very accessible. Also the property is not sea view, though listed as such. Very unhygienic and dirty......the rooms were musty, with a layer of dust in everything. The chair had stain marks, the cups had dried coffee marks and were filled with lipstick marks, the bathroom glass had ugly paper stuck on them with masking tapes......eeekkks! The decor was tacky, the supposedly shower gel dispenser was filled with terrible rose smelling handwash......and so on. Basically a place with no view, expensive bathroom tiles and fittings, but horribly unhygienic crockery, and everything laid out with no aesthetic sense. Not a professionally run place.......
The entrance had no signboard, and the walkway lead to a dilapidated 2 storied abandoned building.......
Horrible surroundings......though the property touches the hidden and quite dirty beach.
Incidentally there is a cremation ground on the beach, about 20 metres North of the property.
We could not stay here.......

- Mahesh (2/5): We booked this resort on 12th July 2025, but our experience was very disappointing. The location of the resort is not go - Very bad experience…. The owner of the property is arrogant and not supportive
- Anand (9/5): -
- Santosh (10/5): - The location
The natural greenery
Close to the sea
The owners helpfulness. It is a bit hard to find the first time.
- Uday (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vishal (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aman (10/5): Exceptional - I recently stayed at Seaswan Villa Resort and had a truly wonderful experience. The cabana was beautifully designed—cozy, comfortable, and perfect for a relaxing stay. One of the highlights was the resort’s close proximity to the beach, with direct access at any time of the day, which made the whole experience even more special.
A special mention goes to the owner Pankaj, who was incredibly humble and helpful throughout our stay. He personally showed us around and made us feel like part of the family. His warm and welcoming nature added a personal touch that made our trip even more memorable. Highly recommended!
- Priyanka (10/5): Exceptional - Best place near beach... The vibes, the food, the ambience, the nature... What else one need to get a homely feeling in nature.... The host was incredibly welcoming, the rooms were clean and cozy, and the home-cooked meals were an absolute delight. Loved waking up to the sound of waves and sipping tea with a view. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a serene getaway!"✨✨✨✨
- Dr.shipra (10/5): A refreshing escape where nature, comfort, and the sound of the sea come together beautifully. - Where untouched nature meets coastal charm—this resort offers tranquil stays just moments from the beach. There was nothing like that!
- Samuel (2/5): Stay away - the owner really needs to study Hotel/Hospitality Management! - We booked 3 rooms (3 separate buildings). The convenience of having that with 9 people was nice.
It was also nice of the host to provide us with breakfast that we preferred. For context, my family and I have lived in the U.S. for decades and are originally from Kerala, where we’ve vacationed many times. We stayed at this property with my brother’s family, who live in Mumbai. Based on our experience, here are a few points that may help others considering a stay here:
Not a resort – While listed as a resort, the property felt more like a basic homestay. Expectations based on the listing may not align with what’s actually offered.
Difficult to locate – There were no visible signs for the property, and we initially ended up at the neighboring house. Thankfully, the neighbors kindly guided us to the right place.
Hospitality needs improvement – The host appeared inexperienced with hospitality management. There was no formal check-in process; we were shown directly to our rooms and asked to send ID photos via phone. When we shared feedback about the discrepancy between the listing and reality, the conversation became tense. The host referenced past guests and political connections to defend the property, which didn’t help resolve the concerns.
Driver accommodations – Before booking, we were assured that our driver would have a place to sleep and access to basic amenities. However, he ended up sleeping in the vehicle and using the outdoors for basic needs. We were also charged extra for his breakfast, which wasn’t expected.
Beach access – The property does not have direct beach access as shown in the photos. There is a rocky shoreline and a concrete pad a short walk away. During our stay, we did not see any sandy beach.
Food limitations – We were informed only upon arrival that only vegetarian food is served, and outside non-veg food is not allowed. With no nearby restaurants, this made meals a bit challenging.
Power & internet issues – We experienced intermittent power and internet outages.

- Rohit (9/5): Amazing Stay Experience - felt like visiting an old friend! - Serene location & unfrequented beach, great food & warm host. It's a beach touch property & while they serve veg food, ingredients are fresh & the taste & quality, are both amazing. Property has a bunch of sweet doggos that add to the warmth. Property Caretakers are sweet too!
The host, Pankaj, went further beyond the regular set of expectations to make our stay comfortable. I'd highly recommend the place. Found the mattress a bit softer for my taste, but that's an individual preference.

- Chirag (10/5): Lovely property - The property is really beautiful
Bang on the beach
Pankaj bhai is really sweet...
Initially I thought he was grumpy but as time passed he was an absolute gem
They have a private entry to the beach, and even the beach is not commercialised.
Beautiful sunset I wouldn't say dislike
But the only thing our dearest Pankaj bhai can change is impounding the dogs after dark.
We wanted to go out post dark
But my wife was very scared due to the dogs... They are very cute during the daytime
- Dr. (4/5): Great location but bad experience due to owners. - The location is great. The local women who were cooking made some great meals. The male owner does not have any sense of business or hospitality. The owner does not have sense of how to treat the customers. No bill was given for the payment made and was rude when we asked for a bill. The food was very expensive and pricing did not have any logic.
- Sanjeev (8/5): Very good -

The beach is relaxing and peaceful, overall it's a hidden gem in Alibaug! I guess some toys like beachball and frisbee should be there for guests which would make it more fun!

- Mr (9/5): Nice place for weekend stay. - Breakfast was good.
- Santanu (10/5): An oasis of peace and tranquility-- in Alibag-- a resort where you would want to visit again - When your profession becomes your passion – then there are no boundaries for development– that is what – Pankaj Anjara– the owner and host of Seaswan resort has done.
-Tucked in the quiet part of Alibag– among a nest of coconut and palm trees- with a private beach to yourself– is a collection of four modern stilted hutments– with all modern amenities– to make your stay a pleasurable and memorable one.
– The rooms, especially the bathrooms are very tastefully done up– with all modern fitments.
-The food is home made– vegetarian – authentic Konkani– served hot and fresh– with liberal dashing of fresh coconut and the menu everyday is chosen very carefully– and Pankaj not only looks after you– he pampers you with his indulgence.
- As the night falls– and the resort lights up with strategically placed pathway lights– the atmosphere become surreal– you can spend hours– sitting in the private balcony– listening to the waves– the swaying palm trees in the evening light and the home made fresh Konkani food.
All in all it was a wonderful memorable experience– and we left with a promise to yourself– that we will come back again– Everything was wonderful-- the stay, location, rooms, food -- only the approach road to the private beach needs a little sprucing up
- Kapil (10/5): Exceptional - The host Pankaj is a gem of a person
- Vipul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kallem (8/5): Value for money and a peaceful environment - Access to the beach , quiet beach and the ambience around
- Samik (8/5): We had a wonderful time. Pankaj , our host was very kind & all our requests were adhered to. He went out of his way - As described in the pictures. Very well maintained. Very pet friendly. Also, even though it is a veg only place, the food was incredibly tasty. Special shout out to Pankaj’s MIL, who was very sweet and kind. Almost everything was good , given that it was a home stay. A small recommendation would be to have more staff, so that all requests can be adhered to quickly. But given that it’s a new place, I understand some constraints they have.
- Gaurav (9/5): Superb - Loved the host Pankaj, the food was awesome home cooked.
- Sanika (10/5): Exceptional -
- Durva (9/5): Superb - Pankaj and Janvi both the hosts are very friendly they make you feel like you are home.

- Nakkiran (10/5): Had Excellent Stay. Thank you Pankaj and Janhavi - Loved everything about this property and the Hosts Pankaj and Janhavi , her Mom their efficient staff Asha, Sanchita and her Mom, they go out of the way to make you comfortable. The staff is with them for more than 20 years, that speaks volume about the Owners. Food they served was very tasty and unlimited. They fulfil all your wishes literally. We are definitely going back, not only on weekends but on weekdays too. It’s actually best peaceful place for young people to hire the place for longer duration and work from home.
Guys do visit the place. It’s comfy, spik n span, modern with TV , Wi-Fi, AC, Kettle, Fridge, Parking, proximity to Sea, great veg homely food. What more you want ? Just requested Pankaj to keep a pedestal fan in their beautiful balcony. That’s the best place to sit, so close to Nature and pure air
