- Bogde (10/5): Our stay was very comfortable . We will be back def !!! - Excellent . Everything !! N/a
- Rob (8/5): Great value for money, convenient location, kitted out with everything you need. - Nice modern living area. Plenty of space for solo traveller and couples. You could hear people upstairs walking around and talking. Could do with a new shower curtain, damp smell in the bathroom.
- macnaughton (3/5): I told Peter of my concerns, he said they would do a deep clean of property. Never offered a pen - Central location Apartment covered in black mould.filthy, mouldy mattress covered only by 1 polyester sheet.
Bedbase filthy
Washing machine covered in black and grey mould
Kitchen cupboards full of mouldy old food
- Julie (10/5): Beautiful. - Loved the location, so close to pretty much everything & it felt so comfy. Most the dishes weren’t cleaned properly.
- DAVID (10/5): - Very roomy.
- Paul (9/5): - Lovely apartment in an ideal location
- louise (10/5): A little gem. - A little gem.
Great location in the centre of town, convenient for everything we required.
The apartment was comfortable, well presented and had everything we needed for the two nights, even coffee, tea and sugar, well needed after a journey! Nothing we disliked about the property.
Parking-the NCP is a five minute walk and we found it to be reasonable and safe. We pulled up outside to unload the car and it wasn’t a problem.
- Samy (8/5): -
- Allan (10/5): We enjoyed the central location and found it ideal for our needs, We Are Very interested thus Again - We loved the Prime Location
- Mary (8/5): Nice apartment, great location close to all amenities and a short walk to the train station - Great location
- Bhavesh (8/5): - It's in the town centre, shower pressure is good, great size smart tv, owners are very responsive, decorated lovely, extra towels are provided. The bathroom light is not so bright, maybe change the shower curtain to a clear or white one.
There is a strong smell of damp in the bathroom. Extractor fan would be good in the kitchen and pair extra sleeping pillows.
- Josephine (8/5): - It was very clean and tidy, the decor is lovely too.
It was good that it's so central too The towels need replacing as they were very hard . We could hear the neighbours upstairs as well, they were very loud. The street where we could park was very busy
- Robert (8/5): -
- Magdalena (8/5): - Kleine, gemütliche Wohnung im Zentrum der Stadt.
- andrew (10/5): - Great apartment nice and cosy close to town and supermarket only problem was the parking
- Lee (8/5): Great apartment - Great location wise for me, great value for a whole apartment, would definitely stay again The bed was abit low and small for me but that’s because I’m quite tall
- Athalia (10/5): - It was sooo comfortable No car parking and had to drive around looking for somewhere to park. A bit frustrating but got a spot about 3 to 5 minutes drive away from the location.
- Dawn (8/5): Perfect Location, Great Stay. Would recommend. - Location was perfect for town centre and not too far for parking. The bed was comfy but low. The sofa was comfy. The shower over the bath (clear to see on photo so own fault) was difficult for my husband who has mobility issues, everything else was great for him, a walk in shower would be perfect. The noise from the road wasn’t too bad, much better than expected from reading other reviews. Outside needs a clean up as it smells around the door area. You need app (iplayer. ITVX, etc) accounts to watch TV, no normal tv.
- Alisa (7/5): -
- Cheryl (8/5): Everything we needed. - Had our own breakfast. I liked it.
- Amanda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alisa (8/5): Very good -
- Tracy (9/5): Superb - The apartment is very conveniently located for events in Newark centre and across the road from Asda supermarket. The smelly bushes outside the front door (smells like dog poo)
- Elizabeth (3/5): Poor - Not a lot Extremely damp, terrible smell and noisy flat above.
- Lewis (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing location
- Avni (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nati (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent. Nothing.
- Mark (10/5): Brilliant place, thanks for having me - Absolutely lovely place. 10 out of 10
- Andrew (9/5): Great location in Newark centre and very cosy. - location is perfect and I could walk to my appointments. Facilities were good and a free bottle of wine. nothing
- John (1/5): Moved to travel lodge where it felt warmer and safer - Nothing, we didn’t not stay in it, as there was no bedding for the sofa bed. Smell of damp and the location, it didn’t feel very cosy at all.
- Sarah (2/5): Very very disappointing - The bed was comfortable.
Location was good for town and Asda. First thing we noticed was the smell of damp and the mould. We went to Asda and brought a load of air fresheners but it was still there the whole stay.
We spent the first hour wiping everything down with our disinfectant, there was curry on some plates and so we washed all crockery and cutlery. The window cills were wet through with condensation which I didn't realise till I picked the towels up from bathroom window sill and they were wet so had to dry them all on radiators.
When using the shower head the tap part where it's attached leaked terrible and went all over the floor every time.
Under the kitchen sink inside the cupboard there was a pool of water, we placed a towel in there.
In a cupboard there were jars of food, they were mouldy.
It's very noisy with traffic, sirens etc not the hosts fault but not ideal if you want a rest.
No blinds in bathroom window, kitchen window or uPVC main door that's on ground floor and public footpath.
So it's not been a great stay to be honest 😔
- C (9/5): Excellen for a short stay. Super helpful host. - Great for a short stay, convenient location and ASDA is just across the road. I had difficulty of opening the lockbox, Peter is very responsive and came to the rescue. A bit too close to the main road, however the bedroom at the back of the building is quiet and calm.
- Angela (9/5): Comfortable, clean apartment, very close to Newark attractions - Well equipped apartment with added extras like tea/coffee wine- thanks Brilliant location for an easy walk into Newark. Comfortable bed. Excellent parking instructions A tea towel would be useful, also a full length mirror on the back of one of the doors would be great
- Anastasia (10/5): Exceptional - Location was perfect for our trip with so many shops on the door step!
The place was so clean and decorated beautifully. Everything you could need was available (including a bottle of wine!)
Host was easy to communicate with regarding key collection and drop off. Very polite and kind. Will definitely stay again. It is requested that you take your rubbish with you, however I could not find a bin outside for rubbish disposal. Instructions on where to find the bin would be helpful!
Also, the lounge with the sofa bed has windows out to the main road which is loud to late in the night and even with the blinds shut, it is very bright with street lighting outside.
- Nati (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent 😊 Nothing.
- Nati (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent. Nothing.
- Emma (9/5): Clean, airy and great value for money - Exactly as described. Really well equipped, clean and good space Hosts were fantastic and very responsive. The only negative thing was its closeness to the main road. Of course the hosts aren’t able to physically change this ☺️
- Mark (6/5): Pleasant - Road noise
- Vasyl (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nati (10/5): Exceptional - It's a small but lovely apartment, clean, convenient, and close to the city center. Nothing.
- Cristina (10/5): Comfy and clean makes everything perfect. - Very accessible to everything, very clean and comfortable. Nothing.
- Alexandra (10/5): Very enjoyable! - The apartment was a nice open space and it was in a fantastic location! Hosts were super helpful in answering any questions and queries we had, overall a great stay perfect for what we needed, Thank you! The only down side was parking wasn’t ideal but still wasn’t really an issue for us☺️
- Liz (6/5): Ideal location for a weekend in Newark - This ground floor apartment is within a few minutes of Newark town centre. No-one would describe it as smart or stylish but it was clean as far as possible given its age and the need of a major refurbishment. Peter was an excellent host in terms of communication and let us know when it was available so we were able to check in before 3pm. He also let us know about the steampunk festival which was taking place in Newark so we made a point of going to that as it was really enjoyable. The bed was comfy and the living area/dining kitchen bigger than the photo would suggest. Secure car parking is available at the NCP car park a short walk away at about £7 for 24 hours although Peter did explain which streets had unregulated parking (the immediate area is residents' parking only). ASDA car park just across the road has 2 hours free car parking which is handy for unloading. The bottle of wine was a lovely surprise. The apartment is on a very noisy corner in terms of traffic and because it is on the ground floor the windows either have obscured glass or blinds save for the bedroom which looks out on a small scruffy yard where the bins are kept. The cooker hob works but the settings no longer show any settings. The microwave however is new and the oven seems to be fine. There was no information about recycling or how to access the bins as the gate seemed to be locked to the back yard. The bedroom is small with only just room to get round the bed with only one bedside table and light. The hanging space is limited and under the stairs which is the only storage area in the flat so rather cluttered. Despite all the negatives, these were all outweighed by the central location.
- Stefan (7/5): Good - Central, refurbished and modern interior, all kitchen appliances there, it is cozy Due to missing insulation and not constantly heating during damp weather, the house has unfortunately a sleeping mold problem. It is over painted but you smell it. Short stay still ok as it not affecting yet your wellbeing
- Steven (8/5): Very good -
- Andreea (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice little place right in town . Definitely be back next time .
- Yuliia (5/5): So-so, but not suitable for babies - Shops and the bys station are very close. There's an internet connection in the apartment The apartment is not like in the photo. Everything is old and shabby. There is a noisy road near. It is definitely not suitable for babies.
- Dale (10/5): Very satisfying - Where it was and how clean it was Parking
- Simon (7/5): Good - Great location for town and all shops and train links
- Mark (10/5): Awesome Stay - The privacy, quietness Nothing
