- Abbey (10/5): - Good location, great facilities and clean and tidy.
- Laura (8/5): Loved the property great location - Great once we found the property Parking, didn’t know there was an extra charge for parking, huge cobwebs above the shower, the sofa bed was sooooo bad, so uncomfortable
- Mahdi (3/5): - Location was good. Cottage was very cozy and cute. It was very dirty.
Heating only worked during specific hours and it was cold.
Shower water temperature was not properly adjustable.
Host did not respond to our messages at all.
- Graeme (10/5): Perfect stay in the perfect location and would definately return. - Perfect location, cottage was lovely and clean. Nothing.
- Janine (10/5): - Everything about the cottage was absolutely beautiful. It felt incredibly homely and was fully equipped with everything you would need. The location was great, situated in the town centre and a short work to thr train station, and supermarket. Everything about my stay was perfect 😁 Nothing not to like. It was perfect
- Lois (10/5): Gorgeous cottage for a weekend getaway - Absolutely gorgeous cottage right in the centre of Penrith. It was clean, well decorated and had good quality appliances/facilities. A perfect spot for a little weekend getaway Only a minor point but the pre arrival comms could do with updating to avoid any confusion (I got an out of date out of office message and the alternative phone number provided didn't connect)
Mattress was quite hard so not the most comfortable sleep.
Note - although it sleeps 5 I'd say it's only really good for a couple as the only bathroom is the ensuite of the bedroom
- Ramanjit (10/5): - Location was very nice . Very close to market. Because it's pet friendly and dogs or cat hair was everywhere on soffa and carpet when we entered
Hoover was full of dust.
- Natalie (7/5): Overall a great stay, ideal location, great for a stay with dogs, mostly clean and comfortable and great value for money - Excellent location, easy check in, lovely quirky cottage, well decorated and comfortable. The shower didn’t work fully, we could not adjust the temperature at all. The Hoover also didn’t work.
- Harrety (8/5): - Lovely cosy feel. Very well equipped in the kitchen. Very high standards of fixtures/decor. Really liked the addition of the tv in the bedroom(hidden inside the bed frame).
Excellent location.
We would definitely recommend this cottage. There was a leak in the shower due to the seal needing replacing.
The kitchen was very dark at times but that was due to lack of windows, so not something you can really alter.
- Mark (10/5): Great weekend away, would recommend to anybody - Property was clean and tidy, spacious and in a great location. Nothing it was perfect
- Nicola (9/5): -
- shahab (10/5): -
- david (8/5): - Good location Steep stairs to bedroom
- Jenna (9/5): Beautiful place in a stunning location will definitely be back - This was our second time staying here, the Location is excellent the cottage itself is immaculate and the facilities are amazing for a getaway we will definitely be back There's nothing to dislike
- Tejinder (3/5): We enjoyed the trip - Clean Parking can be quite confusing. It would be better to have paid parking instead of parking designated for advertising. The cottage is situated in a narrow area, and this detail was not included in the property listing. I also won't use Booking.com again since there was no contact number provided.
- Benjamin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anthony (8/5): Very good - The cottage felt homely and comfortable, although the bedroom lights didn't work and some plug sockets . Not much to do in the town for families.
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stockman (9/5): We would definitely come back - Loved the location and the facilities inside the cottage I'm a tall person, so I managed to bump my head a couple of times entering the property and whilst inside the property.
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional - Everything - really clean and cosy. Finished to a high standard. Perfect location to walk into the town and only a 25mins drive into Glenridding for our hike!
- Rishi (10/5): Exceptional - Everything Nothing

- Stephanie (8/5): Lovely cosy property for staying close to the centre of Penrith! Great communication and instructions provided. Would de - Very modern and well furnished with everything you could need for a short stay. Comfortable bed and lovely bathroom attached Stairs were a little steep but very well lit so would be something to consider if a traveller had any difficulties with walking / getting up stairs
- Ella (9/5): Superb - Gorgeous cottage
- Malcolm (7/5): Good - Excellent cottage. Very clean and presentable. No mobile phone signal inside cottage, so when the host sends messages on the day of check out, you don't get them until you actually leave. Better to send messages the day before.
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andre (4/5): Disappointing - It was decorated nicely It was very small and the only bathroom was connected to the bedroom which you couldn’t tell from the photos online
- Chelsey (9/5): Superb - The cottage was lovely, the host has thought of everything! Very clean and inviting. The sofa beds weren't too comfy but were fine for the amount of time we stayed.
- Save (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carmen (10/5): Loved it! Beautiful cottage. - Cottage beautiful, very homely and clean. Cupboards were stocked with plenty of utensils and plates/mugs etc. Had an issue with the door code and the owner sorted it immediately. Really local to Penrith high st and shops/restaurants/pubs. Felt like a home from home! Already looking at coming back later in the year. Kitchen especially was very light and airy. All very cosy and modern. Just a shame there is no on site parking, but we knew about this before booking. Nothing really about the property we disliked! If anything, would only mention that while it was ideal for us (a couple) but if you were staying with friends/other family members, the only bathroom is an en suite.

Beds Extractor fan in the kitchen had a small problem has the extractor pipe wasn’t connected properly
- Chanice (9/5): Superb -
- James (7/5): A nice place but let down by very simple things - Nicely decorated with the right to get comfy in a home away from home
A shame about a lack of wardrobe space but if you don't mind keeping most things in your case it's fine.
Nothing can be done about this but there is little natural light downstairs, only in the upstairs bedroom which was perfectly comfortable. The bed with the raising TV is a fun addition but really eats into leg room. Being 6' I couldn't fully stretch out. Something to consider if you're particularly tall and this would bother you. We needed to make use of the sofa bed in the lounge. The bedding supplied was very poor; There was no sheet to lie on so you had to lay directly on the sofa where people sit most of the time, which is very unhygienic and uncomfortable. The duvet provided just bare with no cover. We were wondering whether others had slept in it like that, thinking "I'm sure people after us wouldn't care to use them again", it was just a bizarre and unpleasant time for the person having to sleep there but discovering this late at night what choice do you have. The photos of this accommodation were double checked to see there did appear to be complete bedding supplied on the advert. Bedding is just such a basic thing to get wrong. As there was only one person sleeping on there, they were able to double the duvet over as a barrier between them and the sofa. Had there been two people on there, this couldn't have been achieved.
There was also an incident where my elderly mother had not long been out of the shower and was alarmed to find who she took to be a maid walking in unannounced. Perhaps there was a mix up or confusion about when we were checking out but she was a day early and mum wasn't best pleased and was a bit rattled by this. Unless it was a complete stranger!? Obviously they realised there was someone there and made an exit but it is still far from ideal, especially considering they were walking straight into what was being used as a bedroom.
