Guest Reviews
- Earnshaw (10/5): - The property is in the centre of Ambleside. Cleaned to a high standard. The open fire is lovely, you do need to bring your own logs, kindling and fire lighters. Beds were comfortable. Fully equipped kitchen. A welcome gift was left which was a nice gesture. Nothing to dislike. As advertised the parking is tight. It wasn't a problem for us. We didn't use the car after arrival. Both sets of neighbours were great. We chatted about access but no one needed to move their vehicles as everyone parked sensibly.
- Angela (8/5): Cosy cottage in central location. - Location amazing- really central to everything in Ambleside. Cottage was very quiet, day and at night. Quite well equipped and clean everywhere. Cottage not ready when we arrived at 4.00pm as work had been done that day. Sawdust all over. Cleaners arrived at same time as us. Finally got in at 5.00pm after waiting in our car outside in the rain. Very disappointing start to our break. Were offered an extra night free of charge but we had commitments which we could not change. No other offer of compensation.
Cottage very difficult to find and parking could be difficult if had a large car.
Outside light not working so very difficult seeing the door lock when coming back in the dark.
Sofa and armchair not comfortable but beds were good.
- David (7/5): Good location, reasonably appointed. - Reasonably Well appointed, clean, good location. Comfortable beds. Parking tricky with an Audi a6 estate, but we managed.
Entry to shower tight for a larger person, some may not even be able to get in the shower.

- Green (8/5): Very good - The location was excellent and the facilities good, great response when needed the toilet fixing The access to park the car is tricky and tight if the neighbours park too far from the walls then I couldn't get out of the courtyard.
