Guest Reviews
- Alex (6/5): - It's nice stay but very dated. Had everything you needed It has just been sold so you can see why it has been left for a while. Beds very dated and dirty. Sure it was nice a few years ago
- Owen (10/5): - Easy access and good facilities. Awesome location for being close to town centre and still quiet enough to feel secluded.
- Megan (7/5): -
- Alexander (5/5): - Beautiful location and lovely chalet with views to the mountain and peaceful surroundings. Well equipped kitchen. Lots of rooms for families. Property is very tired, curtains fraying, window latch broken and generally feels in need of some TLC. We didn't feel that the photos represented the state of the property at present, everything remains in place but significantly more worn and run down which was noted in a previous review. Nice place but just felt pictures weren't representative.
- Kim (5/5): - That we were able to have a dog appreciate that Dirty towel behind bathroom door, large amount of cobwebs everywhere

- McKenzie (6/5): We had a nice stay was basic, but comfortable and we really enjoyed the little garden. - The location was lovely There was not enough firewood on arrival and it was the only form of heating except for a small oil heater

- Matthew (8/5): - The neighbours on the right side of the property had a party the whole night they only turned the music off at 6:30 on Sunday morning hardly slept , but other than that the stay was great
Clean property and tidy
- Mona And Co (10/5): Comfortable, great for families or groups - Very comfortable house, had everything we needed, and would have liked to stay longer. Love the sunny deck for morning coffee
- Anja (9/5): -
- ali (8/5): - Fire place
- Todd (8/5): - Very Cosy and rustic.
- Dina (10/5): - The property is very cozy and it is close to whakapapa
- Jana (9/5): - The house was the perfect size and layout for our two families with young kids. The two big bedrooms with a double bed each and several single bed options for the kids! The house had everything we needed! They even set up the fireplace for us so all we needed to do was light the fire! Previous comments stated it’s rustic and I would agree with that comment however we came for skiing and loved the rustic wood cabin charm. Plus it was perfect for a stay with kids and has a great location in walking distance to the Junction! We would have loved to see some smoke alarms!
- Janel (9/5): Great location. Very clean and comfortable. - Very comfortable, cozy place! All the utilities we needed and more. Very friendly hosts.
- Margaret (8/5): - Love the location and how well stocked the place was. Friendly host.
The warm house, plenty parking. The kitchen tap and downstairs toilet taps had strong pressure ,hence making floors wet.
It wasn't a huge problem, but it could do with a faucet aerator.
- Tracey Newbold (10/5): -
- Lorell (10/5): Great place to stay - Clean, tidy. Wonderfully warm on a very frosty night. Plenty of space.
- Eliezer (10/5): - We really appreciated how accommodating the staff were with our early check-in. It was also a big plus that we could bring our furbabies along. The location is great—close to shops and the snow mountain. Most appliances we needed were available, and overall, we had a great time.

- Marc (9/5): Excellent value for money. Loved the property - Very comfortable for 7 of us. Living spaces were excellent. Kitchen was well equiped. Bedrooms were good sized. Bathrooms good. Location was great, views fantastic Some of the beds were a little uncomfortable
- Narinder (9/5): Would love to go again - Get the keys and go in easy
Rest all was looked after We were alright with everything, enjoyed our stay
- Bhupesh (4/5): Disappointing - spider web on the main entrance, curtains not clean, door knob are coming out. too old from the inside
- Phillip (6/5): Average - The wood fire was nice for a rainy evening.
Sheets were clean. Could have done with a spring clean. Duvet covers were a bit marked and not freshly washed. Lots of cobwebs on ceilings and quite a few insects/bugs around.
Also did not have fresh coffee/sugar/tea. The sugar pot had dead bugs in it. No fresh milk in the fridge. Just little things but we thought it would have been provided for the price we paid for one night.
- Sam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kseniya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dimitrios (7/5): Overpaid. - Was cozy. Pictures looked much better than reality. Nice coffee machine. No coffee.
- Aileen (9/5): nice relaxing weekend - a great place to stay. we were in summer so a very quiet area. Plenty of space for 2 families. kids loved it. Stairs very steep so you need to watch small kids. loads of cleaning products and pantry staples which was great. nothing
- Nicole (7/5): Good -
- Ravi (7/5): Good -
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Claire (7/5): Good - Cozy house good for familys
- Aileen (10/5): we had an awesome time, nice and warm with woodburner -
- Paula (10/5): Excellent property, excellent facilities. -
- Florencia (6/5): Overall, we had a good time - Was spacious, and had a nice fireplace. The host told us when we arrived that we wouldn’t have access to the wood shed so we ran out of firewood the first night.
Also, the fridge wasn’t closing properly (we noticed that there was like a plastic lock that came off), and there was no laundry soap (there was an empty box), and there was a coffee machine but no coffee beans. Nothing major, but considering that we were staying only 2 nights we were not going to buy those things that were missing.
Beds and pillows were a bit too soft.
- Catthekiwi (9/5): Superb - Homely and warm. Lovely view of the mountain. Great facilities. Lots of bed options. Log fire. Coffee. No internet or tv when we stayed but was getting connected.
- Harry (10/5): Beautiful cosy classic ski town accommodation - Beautiful looking property. Plenty of space and good facilities. The wood fire was the perfect way to end a day. Good selection of board games and books to keep entertained. Very cosy!
- Miriam (9/5): Superb - We had a relaxing time in the house, watching movie and board game as we decided to just stay the whole day since it was raining all day, Having a fireplace is a good feature to keep us warm. Good and easy communication with the host. And allowing our fur baby staying with us is so great, as he is very much part of our family. It is clean, all basic things we need are available , nice table. I hope they will put some table runner or place mat or small Center table,
- Kataraina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rosslyn (8/5): Grandsons birthday trip - The view of the mountain would've been great had the weather been better
The fireplace was awesome making the whole house cosy. Beds, bedding and couches were comfy. Kitchen very well stocked with crockery etc even a coffee machine, dishwasher ,washing machine and drier Says in the property description that there's free wifi throughout when in fact there was no wifi. No explanation till I made contact. And the downstairs toilet refused to stop flushing. Had to turn the fill tap off
- Milap (10/5): I enjoyed my time with my family. - The house was beautiful. And amenities provided were top quality NA
- Erin (10/5): Beautiful relaxing spot for a weekend, we hope to come back! - Loved our stay at Adventure Base, the house was immaculate and had everything we needed. Great communication from the owner regarding our stay too. Very minor, but the stairs at the property required a lot of supervision whilst our toddler was wandering. Just a small thing to note for families with little ones staying.
