• Simone (1/5): - Frühstück, saubere Unterkunft und der nette Host und Service waren toll. Zimmer einfach aber sauber. Anlage gepflegt. Allerdings hat Eka mich mit Transfer gnadenlos abgezockt. Hat versprochen mich mit Schnellboot in 2 Stunden 15 nach Gili Air, zum Hotel zu bringen........Es hat mich insgesamt über 4 Stunden und 1200000idr gekostet. Das Doppelte wie Hinreise und ganzen 15Minuten Schnellboot. U.a. über 3 Stunden Auto trotz keinerlei Verkehrsaufkommen.......Die Publik Fähre für 18000idr braucht auch nur 20Minuten.! Meine 1. Negativerfahrung in Indonesien.

• Soline (10/5): - Grande chambre et salle de bain très propres et confortables avec tous les équipements nécessaires 👌J'ai vraiment été très bien accueillie et j'ai passé un très bon séjour, Ika et sa famille sont adorables et vraiment aux petits soins ! Possibilité d'organiser des excursions selon vos souhaits avec également un bon rapport qualité/prix ils sont professionnels et honnêtes. Très contente de mon séjour chez eux, je recommande vivement ! 😊
• Lina (8/5): Great place for budget travelers - Very clean rooms with AC. It is very simple but you have all you need. I didn't think that the water for the shower was particularly cold. The location is great as the walk to the restaurants is short and everything can be reached quickly. Eka is an amazing host! And we loved the snorkling trip we did with him. Unlike other homestay owners he is not too excessive but it happy to chat and show you around if you feel up to it. Breakfast is very simple. No toast served with the omlet and the pancake was not cooked properly.

• Nova (9/5): - Die Unterkunft war relativ einfach, aber wir haben uns super wohl gefühlt!! Die Vermieter waren soo nett, das Frühstück war sehr lecker, die Lage sehr gut, wir konnten mit ihnen einen Schnrocheltrip machen und uns wurde der Transport vom Festland zur Insel organisiert! Wir haben sogar noch eine Nacht verlängert, weil wir es so mochten:) Es hat uns nicht weiter gestört, aber es waren viele kleine Ameisen im Zimmer und beim duschen ist das ganze bad nass geworden, aber das war wirklich kein problem, wir haben uns trotzdem sehr wohl gefühlt!!

• Lili (5/5): Mauvais rapport qualité/prix - Le personnel est très gentil comme partout en Indonésie. Le lit est confortable et la terrasse est appréciable. Pas d'eau chaude. Et je trouve que le rapport qualité prix n'est pas très bon. Au même tarif vous pouvez avoir un bungalow les pieds dans l'eau avec de l'eau chaude... Après sur Gili gede tout est plus cher et cela n'est pas justifié...pas d'île paradisiaque, bien au contraire...

• Martina (10/5): - Uns wurde die Anreise von unserer letzten Unterkunft bis zu Mango Homestay zu einem günstigen Preis organisiert. Der Empfang war Seher freundlich. Das Zimmer war einfach, aber sauber, das Bad zweckmäßig, die Dusche war in Ordnung. Wir machten eine Schnorcheltour zu 5 Gilis. Wir haben auf keiner anderen Tour so viele verschiedene Fische und Korallen gesehen. Das Highlight waren die Schildkröten. Die Essensempfehlungen waren super. Eka führte uns auch noch auf den Sunset-Hill. Ein sehr schöner und entspannter Aufenthalt.

• Ben Levin (8/5): - Freundliches Personal, gute Lage und optionen für Schnorcheltripps. Es gab zwei mal einen Stromausfall. Dies betraf jedoch die ganze Insel weshalb das Homestay nichts dafür kann.

• Edwin (9/5): Nice place on a beautiful island - If you're looking for a boutique hotel, this isn't the place to go. But if you want a clean room with basic facilities, very helpful and attentive staff in a nice, centrally located building, this is perfect. Good breakfast (pancakes, omelet, today or scrambled eggs). Eka and his family are great hosts, and they arranged a beautiful snorkeling trip and a transfer to Mataram (including aftercare!). Gili Gede is not very developed, and that is what makes it so beautiful, but there are a couple of simple but very good warungs and shops at walking distance. I hope to be able to return sometime. No hot water (a bit salty), and the toilet must be flushed by hand. Not a big deal for me, but good to know. Sheets are provided when you ask for them, but should be standard.
• Alison (10/5): - L'île est paradisiaque. Il y a très peu de touristes. Les gens sont très gentils. Le bungalow est à quelques pas de la plage. C'est propre, confortable, on se sent en sécurité. On peut choisir le petit dejeuner, à l'heure que l'on veut. Je l'avais contacté depuis kuta pour qu'il organise notre venu. Le chauffeur est venu nous chercher à notre hôtel, nous a amené au bateau et le bateau nous a déposé devant ! Le top! On a fait une matinée snorkelling c'était vraiment sympa par contre 2 fois plus cher qu'à Gili T pour les excursions. Il a organisé également notre retour jusqu'à notre hôtel près de l'aéroport et encore une fois nickel ! Vous pouvez y séjourner les yeux fermés ! • Megan (10/5): A home away from home! - We had a great stay at Mango homestay in Gili Gede. The room was very spacious and clean, with a cupboard to put our things in. No hot water but it was lukewarm which was absolutely fine as it was expected on a small island like Gili Gede. Eka was a great host, he helped us with anything we needed! We booked a great snorkelling tour through him and our transport to Kuta after. The breakfast was also very tasty! Thank you for such a great stay, we will never forget it! Nothing!

Rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable and was close walk to warungs and everything you need. Nothing, very much enjoyed my stay here and hope to go back.

Et une fuite sous le lavabo. Mais pas insurmontable. Eka est venu colmater la fuite. On a pu faire une sortie snorkeling dans les Gili autour. C’était incroyable. Gili Gede est une bonne base pour se déplacer autour.

• Andrew (10/5): Ideal for families - We (2 adults, two children) liked the large clean bedrooms and bathrooms. The breakfast was basic: a slice of bread + omelette or a pancake with toppings. Our hosts Eka, Wafa, and Tivie were great: attentive, friendly, and informative. They have created a relaxing and calm environment for families to stay. The rooms stayed warm at night when outside was cool. The porch area is ideal for a hammock, although it might get in the way at breakfast time!

Bathroom is super basic, no flushing on the toilet. We read about water pressure and thought "well, how bad can it be?" But there's literally no water sometimes.

• Lourdes (8/5): - Mango home stay is very close to the pier where you can find many warungs for lunch and dinner, boats to do day trips to the other Secret Geles, and simply just walk along the beach. The location was great because it was not very noisy, even tho there were mosques nearby. Also, just a 15 min walk to sunset point, a great beach in Gili Gede to watch the sunset and chill while having a drink in the two warungs on that side of the island. Wafa and Ekka were great hosts, with a lovely energy. We did a 5 Gilis day trip with Wafa and it was so much fun. We really enjoyed the snorkeling and the time we spent with them. We also went to sunset beach with him one of the nights. Breakfast was also quite good, with few options (we loved the omelette and the banana pancakes). Overall, it is a basic accommodation but has everything you need to enjoy a few days in Gili Gede.

El snorkeling con ellos es muy bueno, cuarto simple pero muy comodo, no tiene agua caliente pero no es problema ya que la isla es muy calurosa. El desayuno esta ok.

• Netty (10/5): Fantastisch - Heerlijk huisje met eindelijk stevige kussens. Het lauwe douchewater en 'doortrekken' met een bakje water was geen probleem. Eka en zijn familie waren heel gastvrij en behulpzaam. Eka heeft zelfs mijn teenslipper waarvan het bandje gebroken was gemaakt met naald en draad en lijm, je zag er niks van! Het snorkelen op de 5 Gili's was fantastisch! Niets, oh ja, dat de dagen te snel voorbij waren 😃

Le propriétaire est très accueillant, il est venu me récupérer à la jetée quand je suis arrivée un peu tard lors de mon arrivée et a organisé mon retour pour aller a l'aéroport. le petit déjeuner est très bon. la chambre est propre et paisible. je recommande vivement !

Les ceintres mis à disposition et le petit placard. La climatisation fonctionne très bien. peut être une moustiquaire sur le lit ? Mais bon, je suis venue avec un diffuseur anti moustique; et puis de toute façon on doit utiliser de l'anti moustique sur la peau pour aller dîner le soir.
• Marlous (9/5): - Hele vriendelijke mensen die zeer behulpzaam waren. Zeer nette en ruime kamer in een rustige omgeving. Als je iets wilde of vragen had, werd er altijd snel gereageerd door Eka in samenwerking met de eigenaar. Ontbijt buiten voor de kamer helemaal top. De snorkeltour waren we ook erg tevreden over. Soms rook het putje wel eens van de badkamer. Prullenbakje op het putje en het probleem was verholpen.

Dusche hat leider kein warmes Wasser. Keine herkömmliche Toilettenspülung. Abfluss riecht manchmal. Bettwäsche etwas fleckig, aber gewaschen. Auf Bitte haben wir aber ein Bettlaken erhalten.

• Josefine (9/5): - Sehr freundliches Personal, wir wurden super herzlich empfangen. Das Zimmer war super sauber. Auch die vom Homestay organisierte Schnorchel-Tour war toll! Dabei wurde sich komplett nach uns gerichtet, sodass wir viel Zeit an den verschiedenen Orten hatten. Wir wurden direkt vom Hafen zum Homstay gebracht und auch wieder zurück. Es war sehr warm im Zimmer, da wir nur einen Ventilator hatten. Es gibt aber auch Zimmer mit Klimaanlage! Der Abfluss hat manchmal etwas streng gerochen.
• Jan Hendrik (8/5): Sehr liebe Familie & super Preis-Leistungsverhältnis! - Eine wahnsinnig nette Familie mit den besten Pancakes die ich seit langem gegessen habe. Sie können die Pancakes sogar vegan machen. Eka ist super hilfreich und weiß alles und kann bei allen Wünschen, Touren und Transfers helfen. Ein Top-Preis-Leistungsverhältnis! Man könnte Wasser-Auffüllstationen nutzen um Plastikmüll zu vermeiden.
• Schramm (10/5): - Sehr nette, freundliche Gastgeber 😊! Ich verbrachte 8 Nächte hier. Schnorcheln ist traumhaft schön hier! Eka, der auch zum Homestay gehört und sein Freund Emon haben mich zum Fischen mitgenommen, was absolut toll und interessant war. Ein Traum zu zusehen, wie sich Fregattvögel auf die kleinen Fische stürzen. Das Frühstück ist gut und ausreichend, das Zimmer sehr sauber und ruhig gelegen. Super Preis-Leistung! Ich werde diese Unterkunft sofort wieder buchen, wenn ich nochmals komme. Es gibt nichts zu bemängeln!

Räume sind etwas dunkel; Strände nicht gut zum Schwimmen geeignet (Nutzung von Stegen und Booten)
• Eva (9/5): Toller Aufenthalt für einen Kurztrip nach Gili Gede - Toller Aufenthalt! Der Inhaber ist super lieb und alle sind total bemüht, dass man einen tollen Aufenthalt hat. Das Zimmer und das Bad ist super groß es gibt überall viel Ablagefläche und man hat sogar seinen eigenen kleinen Balkon, wo auch morgens das Frühstück serviert wird - klein aber fein. Die Dusche ist nur leider kalt aber bei den Temperaturen ist das ja zum Glück aushaltbar. Wir haben für 200k die 5 Gili Schnorcheltour gemacht. Leider haben wir keine Seepferdchen gesehen aber die Korallen waren wirklich wunderschön und wir haben eine Schildkröte gesehen.
• Elisabeth (9/5): Mangolicious! - Mango Homestay was a really nice place to stay on the island. On arrival in the harbour there was a boat already waiting for us. The hosts are very kind and host Ekka was so helpful, always ready to help us or give us good recommendations for activities. As he told us 'Everything is possible here'. The banana pancakes for breakfast were delicious! I would definitely recommend staying here!

• Alison (9/5): A nice place to stay, on a very interesting and scenic island. - Nice quite location. Very friendly and helpful owners and staff. It was only a short walk up from where the ferry boat drops you and this is also a good place to see the sunrise. It is not too much further to walk to the other side of the island, to watch the sunset. If you go here at about 5.30 pm when you reach the beach turn left and there is a stall with a very friendly couple selling take away Gado-Gafdo between approx. 5 -6pm. it is just a few metres up on the right. They also have a small shop set well back on the other side. As it was Ramadam there was .limited food for sale, this was the first place I came across on my first evening selling food. They fetched a chair for me and a plate so I could eat it there and charged me 15,000 IDR for a large portion. As they were so friendly and chatty and lots of other friendly people about I went back for the following three evenings. On my second visit I was given free coconut juice, which they would top up and did every evening after that. There are a couple of more expensive warungs the ferry boat side but were completely empty whenever I walked past. Breakfast is just scrambled eggs or omelette, so not sure why a need to order it the day before? I brought fruit with me, which they kindly let me keep in their fridge. I also stayed an extra night and may have stayed longer, if a kettle in the room, as such a lovely quiet, peaceful Island. A nice crisp cotton top sheet already on bed would have been good. Only blankets in a cupbiard that would have been warm and itchy. However I did ask for a top sheet and this was provided and much appreciated. It was clean and laudered but badly stained. You do need something covering you, as protection against mozzies. A nice comfortable bed though. Would have been good if a kettle in the room. There were two mugs on a large table shelf, but no kettle. Would have been nice to make drinks or some snack noodles, especially as extremely limited on places to eat and also being Ramadam.

• Christoph (7/5): - Good location on the island, friendly hosts, really tasty breakfast (with fresh mangos from the garden) and a well functioning A/C. Additionally Eka offered a really cool snorkeling trip with one of his friends for a reasonable price and helped me to get a transport to Lembar harbour. Keep in mind, that the accommodation has a very basic bathroom with a saltwater shower (which is quite common on the whole island), a toilet with a ladle and that there is no sink in the bathroom. Also, the water inside the shower had a sulphur odour.

• Magali (7/5): très bon accueil, bons petit dej ! - Le Logement était Top, à part la salle de bain, avec une douche super spartiate et des WC sans chasse d'eau... mais sincèrement on s'y fait et ça va avec l'île ! ;-) amis frileux, pas d'eau chaude, mais il fait tellement chaud, que ça ne pose pas de pb. les propriétaires du Homestay sont supers serviables et les petits dej très copieux! pas de lavabo ou de d'espace pour poser ses affaires dans la salle de bain. Il n'y avait pas de clim ni de draps mais pour la clim le ventilateur convenait parfaitement! :-)

Le Homestay est très bien placé sur l’île, à côté des restaurants. Eka était très disponible, nous recommandons également la journée Snorkeling avec lui à la découverte des 5 Gilis !

• Justine (10/5): - Eka et sa famille nous ont super bien accueillis. Ils ont été aux petits soins et se sont chargés de nous réservé différentes choses (driver, snorkeling, bateau retour). Ils sont très disponibles. Nous avons adoré l’ambiance familiale de ce logement. On recommande fortement !

Eka può fornire transfer via barca e terra per raggiungere la struttura, biglietti della fastboat e può organizzare escursioni in mare con barca per visitare l’arcipelago
• Kirstin (9/5): Helpful host with reasonably priced rooms. - We stayed here whilst learning to dive with the high dive as per their recommendation for more affordable accommodation. The room was nicely kept with a comfortable bed and big bathroom. Eka, the host, seemed to be a man around town with good suggestions of things to do with our downtime. He would also ask us for breakfast preference the night before which was useful for our early dive schedule. The room's temperature was hard to control with the AC being a bit too cold and the blanket a little too warm. The lack of lounging space was a little annoying too, though we just went to a local warung (which normally take a while to make food) to hangout instead. Also, the water from at least one of the taps (probably all) is slightly salty. We realised this after filtering and purifying it to drink. Not too much of a problem as they give you water with breakfast and you can obviously buy bottled.
• Cindy (8/5): Very good value, clean and basic accommodation - Mango homestay was a great value room in gili gede. The staff were super friendly, breakfast served at your room. It was very clean and only 4 minutes walk to beach/jetty. It was a budget room, so there is a fan only, and simple shower in bathroom. There was no sink, but a place to wash feet where we brushed teeth. To be fair, it was super cheap and very clean!

• Eberle (10/5): Eka our best friend - Das Homestay ist super gelegen, sauber, simpel und gemütlich. Die Mitarbeiter waren extremst höflich, hilfsbereit und stehts mit einem erlich wirkendem Lächeln im Gesicht. Dank Ihnen hat man sich wie zuhause gefühlt und wollte gar nicht mehr gehen. Die angebotene Schnorcheltour des Homestays haben wir an unserem letzten Tag gemacht und es war einer der besten Touren die wir hier in Indonesien gemacht hatten. Da hat sich sogar der Sonnenbrand gelohnt den wir danach hatten. Die Dusche war nur mit kalt Wasser und der Duschstrahl war eher schwach. Das grösste Problem ist wahrscheinlich dass man nicht mehr hier weg möchte.

• Elodie (10/5): - Super endroit! C'est propre, c'est calme, proche du super spot pour le coucher de soleil! J'ai beaucoup aimé gili gede où règne une douceur de vivre reposante ! Eka est super, il fait au mieux pour satisfaire les envies de chacun ! Et les crêpes au chocolat pour le petit-déjeuner étaient vraiment bonnes! Je recommande ++ Les moustiques !! Pensez à amener un répulsif électrique
• Sara (9/5): Great, recommended - Eka and his brother are very good. They speak good English and are just very nice people. We have done snorkeling with Eka, very good price and great quality, we saw sea horse and a big turtle. Great communication with him all the time. Great breakfast, I recommend pancakes. Shower is cold and slightly salty (like anywhere else in the island) but it was not a problem at all.

• Rankin (9/5): Good value, fabulous people, central. - The family that run Mango homestay are fantastic. Very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The place is central, they run fabulous trips and they are great value. You have breakfast on the terrace of your room. The rooms are basic but good enough. Especially for the cost. Some people might prefer a sheet as well as a fiercely blanket over them. It’s not ideal not having a sink in the bathroom but you manage with the tap.
• Renata (8/5): - Ubytování odpovídalo ceně - bylo čisté, jednoduché. Snídaně jednoduchá - palačinka nebo vajíčka a káva nebo čaj a voda. Je třeba počítat s tím, že záchod se splachuje kyblíkem z nádrže. V koupelně nebylo umyvadlo - jen kohoutky a odtok v podlaze. Chybělo více informací po příjezdu - dostali jsme pouze klíč a heslo k wifi, žádné informace o snídani, nabízených výletech, museli jsme se doptávat. Majitel je ve stánku u pláže - zajišťuje šnorchlování, dopravu z ostrova - po domluvě s ním vše fungovalo, šnorchlovací výlet byl velmi pěkný. Dle informací na booking je zde možné platit kartou - ale nešlo to.
• Klara (8/5): good value for money stay - breakfast was good, bed was comfy and clean, good location, nice staff, good value for money the room was a bit humid and hot during the day, the fan wasnt enough (but you can pay a bit for a room with ac). we got a dirty towel and blankets didnt look well either. wasnt a dealbreaker for us, but you have to flush the toilet manually and there isnt a normal sink.
