Guest Reviews
- Rachel (9/5): Great building for groups - Amazing building. Lots of space- perfect for a large group
- Keris (8/5): Great place for a large group that are happy with an eerie old building. - Fourteen of us, staying for the 2nd time, so we knew what to expect. It's comfortable and cosy but most definitely not posh. Heating works well. Kitchen extremely well appointed and stocked. Love the giant dining table and the lounge below. Musty smell in a few rooms. It's built into the hillside and an old building, so inevitably a bit dark and spooky, but as I said we've been here before so we were prepared.
- Aisling (8/5): Idiosyncratic, fun, functional - Extraordinary place. Wonderful amount of space for an extended family to spread out into. The place is old and a bit worn but I was expecting that.
- KatyHarrad (10/5): -
- Adam Doré (3/5): Plenty of space but needs an update. - Great location, lots to do in the area and a friendly pub next door. Walking distance to Belper or Duffield or a bus stop just outside the property. Very tired property, could do with a complete makeover. Its a big porperty with lots of rooms, but don't expect luxury.
- Jennifer (7/5): - Lots of seating for a large family group. Large dining table. Good kitchen facilities for a large group. Sauna was good fun. Lock on downstairs bathroom did not work very well and was very difficult to open at times. Toilet in downstairs bathroom on very high pedestal. Tumble drier did not work.
- Faith (10/5): Exceptional -
- Valerie (7/5): Good -
- Caitlin (7/5): Great property for large groups on a budget - Large living room and dining room were absolutely perfect for a large group and the log fire was amazing. Location was also incredible with a pub right next door and lots of walks nearby. Property had a lot of character. The shower on the middle floor was broken and a lot of the ensuites were behind curtains rather than doors which felt a bit less private!
- Jayaprakash (7/5): Good -
- Sam (9/5): A quirky, spacious, well equipped, venue with lots of good walking and good pubs on the doorstep. - Very spacious accomodation with all the facilities that you need. Very well equipped kitchen. Creaky floorboards and stairs above bedrooms had a couple of people moaning at breakfast.
