- Joanne (10/5): - Loved the location at the quieter end of the mumbles. Views were fabulous, particularly from the upstairs bedroom. Very spacious property and we liked the Georgian style and decor. We stayed here last year so didn’t want to stay anywhere else. Did some amazing walks and very handy for great surfing and bodyboarding beaches.
- Beverley (9/5): Excellent - Well equipped. Comfortable beds. Good location. The road was very busy - our mistake for not having researched it properly before we booked.
- Sharon (10/5): The Mumbles is such a lovely place to stay . Lots of restaurants, cafes , ice cream parlours and amazing walks ! - Comfy beds/ size of property and view from front bedroom Parking
- Jennifer (10/5): Brilliant. We will be back. - Visited before and as ever, my stay was excellent. Thank you.
- Nathanael (9/5): Peaceful location with sea view and proximity to shops - Well located property right by the sea and a short walk to shops and all amenities.
- Rachel (10/5): A lovely stay in Mumbles! We loved Bracelet bay and Three cliffs beach! - The bedrooms were lovely and comfortable. Some road noise in front room but nothing major.
- Angela (10/5): Exceptional - Fabulous location right by the coast, easy access to restaurants and bars.
- Sinead (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lucy (8/5): Very good -
- Claire (8/5): Lovely comfortable house in the beautiful Mumbles. Helpful and attentive hosts - Great hosts, lovely house, fabulous location Parking. The hosts kindly got us spaces in a nearby hotel car park though
- Rosie (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely location right by the sea, comfortable beds, well appointed kitchen.
- Joanne (10/5): Exceptional - Location was excellent at the quiet end of the Mumbles with beautiful sea views! Accommodation was very spacious and clean, very nicely furnished and decorated with lovely wall art. Very comfortable, we felt immediately at home. The property had everything we needed and more. Nice touch to arrive to Welsh cakes and some milk for a cup of tea, which was very much appreciated after a long drive and a climb to Worms Head! Great tip on fish and chips in the information folder!!! We liked everything!
- Anna (9/5): Excellent accommodation on The Mumbles - Large, comfortable lounge, separate spacious dining room and very good kitchen with excellent facilities. Very well equipped in every room. The main bedroom with sea views is stunning - bonus of both bedrooms having en-suite and extra TVs if needed. The house was spotless, well decorated and smartly furnished. Easy walking distance to Mumbles which has a great range of shops and cafés and restaurants. We were very impressed with the choice. Also a bus stop a couple of minutes away with regular buses into Swansea and also towards The Gower.
- Patricia (8/5): Very good -
- James (8/5): Mumbles was a lot bigger and busier than we expected - Difficulty parking around this area
- Louise (9/5): Stunning and comfy house with great views and brill location. - Gorgeous view from the main bedroom. Great location and very clean. Beds so comfy and showers brilliant. Games and dvds provided plus milk and welsh cakes a lovely touch. The parking could have been a bit of a pain for loading and unloading but we always got somewhere not too far away so never a problem and don’t let it put you off.
- George (9/5): Great location close to beach, view from master bedroom fantastic and beautifully decorated inside - Great location, plus excellent view from the master bedroom. The house was furnished beautifully. The beds were really comfortable and lovely little touches like milk in the fridge for when we arrived and welsh cakes.
Highly recommend to anyone Very minor points but difficult to find anywhere to park on either of the two roads recommended, which meant taking luggage to and from the accommodation took a while
But as I mentioned it was a great place and would go back anytime
- Joanna (9/5): A wonderful cottage in a superb part of Wales - Oyster Cottage is centrally located which is exactly what we were looking for. The nearby crossing across the busy road to the promenade for a level walk was great for our elderly father in law and very useful for our beach excited dog! There's also a flat walk into town - and Joe's Ice Cream Shop! We can also recommend Sunday Lunch at the Plough & Harrow in Murton - it was delicious!
The cottage is beautifully furnished and the beds were very comfortable. The new furniture in the lounge is a great touch - and there was everything we needed for a very relaxing stay - thank you. As the cottage is located on the busy main road into Mumbles, car parking is in a nearby road around the corner. We helped our father in law and dog into the cottage and made two trips with the luggage etc. Not a big deal for us at all, just so that people are aware. For us, all the pluses of Oyster Cottage outweighed this slight inconvenience.
- Jan (9/5): Really lovely. - Great location. Walks and restaurants on the doorstep. Easy access to great beaches. Door lock needs fixing.
- Rebecca (6/5): No parking - Views, sofa and bed we're comfortable, good kitchen facilities, very spacious, stocked with essentials such as milk, coffee tea,Welsh cakes and toiletries. Warm and cosy.p Advertised with parking which ended up being on perpendicular streets and hard to come by, enough of a walk with bags and deliberately chose with parking following recent surgery which made it difficult to access. The Yale on the front door didn't work so not as secure as expected. Showers were very weak and the hairdryers were broken. Curtains came off the rails and didn't fully shut.
- Sarah (9/5): Lovely few days exploring the Mumbles and visiting son at the Uni. We will return! - great location, really clean, well equipped seating in the lounge a bit snug for four adults
- Nikki (10/5): Utterly fabulous - We were staying in the self-catering Oyster Cottage which is a beautifully appointed 2-bedroom house with superb views over the bay and beyond. Nothing has been overlooked in terms of the provisions within the house. The decor and furnishings are sumptuous, with fine bed linen and everywhere is immaculately clean. This was my treat to my mother and her husband, as she originates from the area and is 80 later this year - she loved the house and will no doubt book when revisiting the area in the future. The property owner, Metin, is the perfect host and on hand to assist at a moment's notice. A lovely gentleman and a credit to the hospitality sector. There wasn't really anything to 'dislike'. I think the beautiful lounge would benefit from additional comfortable seating as opposed to the upright, vintage wicker style chairs, but that is certainly not a criticism, just a personal preference.
- Behroz (8/5): Excellent view, very clean and comfortable. - Great seafront location with large viewing windows though small outside space. Very helpful hosts. Excellent sea views. Well equipped kitchen and TVs.
- Judith (10/5): Lovely stay. Perfect for our planned short stay. - Facilities All good
- Sarah (9/5): Very pleasant! - Great facilities, well decorated Hard to park - especially dealing with luggage and busy road
- Janehd (10/5): Exceptional - The cottage was, lovely overlooking the coast very clean and had everything you needed with a short flat walk into town x the hosts were exceptional.very welcoming and helpful milk and Welsh cakes on arrival was a very nice touch thank you will definitely stay again Nothing
- Mark (10/5): Beautiful house. - Lovely location, you can watch the sunrise from the front rooms. Dog friendly beach right outside and if you turn right there is an excellent park and wood you can take the short cut to M&S only ten minute walk up the hill all paths lead to the castle. Free shaded parking on the side road. The house is beautiful and very spacious, both bedrooms and the living room are large with lovely high ceilings. I have to compliment the owner for a beautifully furnished house. Really excellent attention to detail again top compliments for all the extras from dishwasher tablets to a little milk in the fridge. Probably the best property we've stayed in and we would come again. Many thanks. Nothing.
- Grant (10/5): Beautiful house, nice location for accessing the gower peninsular. - Cleanliness and decor were excellent. Very relaxing and comfortable. Limited parking nearby.
- Catherine (10/5): Excellent! - Lovely views and comfortable beds. Host really helpful.
- Heather (10/5): Great family time away - restaurants in walking distance and woke up to sea views ! - Super location - looked over promenade. Exceptionally clean. Lovely furnishings. Would highly recommend.
