• Fiona (10/5): Perfect family (+dogs) get away! - What a beautiful cosy house! The property is stunning with magnificent views and lots of wildlife. The heating was brilliant and had all the facilities we needed. Nothing. It was perfect for us.
• Donna (8/5): Our first mountain escape, very enjoyable. - The secluded location, the views, plenty of fire wood and alternative heating options, spotting deer and koalas, fully fitted kitchen with everything needed to cook, fast access to Apollo Bay. Each time we used the oven the power went off to the rear of the house, easily fixed though inconvenient. Absence of a dryer and only a very small clothes airer was troublesome for a family of 5 over the course of a week. We came prepared with biodegradable bags for septic tank toilet, but if I hadn’t thought to, the inability to flush paper would have been a real inconvenience - suggest leaving a box of nappy sacks or biodegradable bags for guests?

• Lisa (9/5): Wonderful weekend away for my Dads 65th Birthday with the family. - We loved that Hillside House is so private and nestled away in the bush but it was only 10minutes into Apollo Bay. We loved the character of the house and we were all very comfortable and warm throughout our weekend. All of the beds were very comfortable. The bottle of wine and chocolates were a lovely touch. The only thing we found a tiny bit difficult to keep going was the wood burner. It was hard to get much heat out of it but the split systems made up for it so we were never cold!
