Needs modern amenities: large mugs for coffee/tea, microwave & compact refrigerator. The mini refrigerator was horrible. It barely holds a can of soda. Couch bottom cushions need replacing.
• Stephan (9/5): Originelle, zentral gelegene Unterkunft. - Sehr geschmackvolle Einrichtung. Lage nahe am Zentrum. Zugang mit Zahlencodes hat bestens funktioniert. Parken am Strassenrand war problemlos. Kaum isolierende Fenster zu stark befahrener Strasse könnten stören, wenn man empfindlich ist. Badezimmer ist im Gang, nicht klar ob es von mehreren Zimmern genutzt wird.
• Katja (8/5): Onnistunut ja turvallinen hyvällä sijainnilla. - Sijainti oli hyvä, sillä valitsin sen sen mukaan, missä olin aikeissa liikkua. Pystyin mm. kävelemään Griffith Observatoriolle sekä Hollywoodin keskustaan, jonne menee noin 20 minuutissa, jos liikkuu ripeästi. Bussiyhteyden toki ovat kattavat. Pidin asuinalueen ympäristöstä: kaunista ja vihreää, melko turvallisen oloista sekä paljon omakotitaloja ja ystävällisiä ihmisiä. Lähellä sijaitsee pari ruokakauppaa, jokin ruokapaikka sekä bussipysäkki, kaikki kävelymatkan päässä. Myös kävelylenkit onnistuivat hyvin ja toivat ulkoilevalle tarkkailijalle paljon sisältöä matkaan. Pidin myös huoneen ja kylpyhuoneen mietitystä ja esteettisestä sisustuksesta sekä siisteydestä. Huonekalut olivat hyvässä kunnossa ja säilytystilaa oli riittävästi ja vuode hyvin leveä. Erittäin puhtaassa kylpyhuoneessa riitti kuumaa vettä, vessapaperia, plussaa myös shampoosta sekä kosteusvoiteesta. Sain myös selkeästä ovikoodit haltuuni saapumispäivän aamuna sähköpostin välityksellä. Pääsin myös etuajassa majoituspaikkaan sisälle, joten minun ei tarvinnut odottaa kadulla huoneen vapautumista. Kiinnittäisin huomiota sisääntuloon -käytävä sisäänpääsyportin jälkeen oli sekainen ja pimeä: pelottava. Siistisin ja sisustaisin myös upean parvekkeen, sillä siinä on paljon potentiaalia. Vedenkeitin huoneessa oli tarpeen, mutta superpieni jääkaappi oli turha, se ei ollut edes kylmä. Jätin koko viikoksi pois kylmää vaativat elintarvikkeet ja pärjäsin toki, mutta upeaa olisi tietysti ollut, jos olisin voinut säilyttää ja valmistaa kohteessa enemmän ruokaa itselleni. Kattovalo räpsyi ja oli himmeä, mutta en onneksi tarvinnut sitä paljon. Ikkunat ovat ohuet ja ulkopuolella oleva nelikaistainen tie on äänekäs, joten korvatulpat saattavat olla nukkuessa tarpeen -myös naapurihuoneiston kylpyhuoneen äänet kuuluvat huoneeseen hyvin. Televisioon en saanut ääntä koko aikana, mutta ehkä en vain osannut käyttää kaukosäädintä? Talon sijainti ensin hämmensi, sillä minulle oli annettu vanha osoite myös ja kuljettaja vei minut ensin sinne: koko talo oli purettu ja se tietenkin säikäytti ensin..

• gerryaf (8/5): We will stay again. - Location was perfect for us. There is no where to hang your clothes. There is only one coffee cup. (There is a microwave, fridge and a pot to heat water to make instant coffee or tea.

• Stefan (6/5): - De locatie is goed en rustig. Parkeren is lastig maar niet onmogelijk. Het geluid vanaf de straat is erg aanwezig. De kamer wordt tussendoor niet schoongemaakt en dus ook geen schone handdoeken. Daarnaast was de communicatie bij ontvangst niet goed. We hebben best wel moeten zoeken naar de locatie omdat de gegevens pas heel laat op ons verzoek werden verstrekt. Met de beschrijving was het overigens wel goed te doen
• L (6/5): Reasonable - The location is good. Close to the Griffith park, there’s my favorite grocery store near by, and walkable to public transportation. The host was nice and quick to respond. If they cleaned the balcony, they could charge more. The passcodes to get into the building and the room were a little confusing, and the room wasn’t cleaned when we arrived. But the host stayed in touch with me over text and handled both issues pretty quickly. It seemed this normally doesn’t happen.

• Alessandra (9/5): - La struttura è molto bella e caratteristica. La posizione anche è perfetta, siamo riusciti a trovare per 4 giorni consecutivi parcheggio su strada non a pagamento. Avevamo la camera con bagno privato, dove era presente anche una vasca molto grande e accesso al terrazzino. Ci sono dei dettagli che andrebbero rivisti per rendere migliore la sistemazione. Il miscelatore della doccia è diffettoso e rischia di rimanerti in mano ogni volta che lo sposti, il terrazzino per quanto bello è molto trascurato, un peccato, perché è davvero un plus alla struttura. La pulizia in generale potrebbe essere migliore. L'arredamento totalmente in legno diffonde un odore poco gradevole, considerando il livello di umidità che c'è a LA.

• Matthieu (9/5): Superb - I recently stayed in between June and July, and it was an experience I’d love to share with you. The room I stayed in was huge and super fancy, all tucked away in an old Hollywood townhouse. It had this really cool vibe that transported me back in time. One of the coolest things about the room was its unique look, which totally captured the essence of old Hollywood glamour. Even though there was some street noise that got in the way of the ambiance, the hosts were amazing and they took care of everything right away. That made my stay super comfortable and hassle-free. Overall, I’d rate my stay a perfect 10/10. The combination of a really cool setting and attentive hosts made it a memorable visit.

Also mini fridge was not working. Felt like I was being taken somewhere else, but the loud noise from outside reminded me I wasn’t.

• Thomas (9/5): Superb - The host was super friendly and always answered my messages very quickly. She upgraded my room last minute and allowed me to store my luggage well past check out time! Room was clean and comfortable. The bathtub was a great size but there wasn't a shower curtain so the floor and surrounding area to the tub would get pretty wet after a shower. Not a huge issue but just to be aware of.
• Ryan (10/5): Exceptional - Great vibe, well appointed, great location. We especially love the tub!! The only two flaws: 1) the lighting on the path to the entrance is non-existent. It's a little treacherous to navigate at night. 2) The heating/cooling throughout the building (we've stayed there multiple times in different rooms) is manic! When it heats up, it's way too intense and wakes us up sweating and kicking off the bed covers. Then it stops and gets really cool (which we prefer) and we're again awakened in order to retrieve the bed linens.

• Nicholaus (10/5): Excellent value on a luxurious stay in Hollywood. - Central location, beautiful home, comfortable and accommodating. Host was courteous and made sure we didn’t want for anything. The terrace was a huge bonus! The air conditioning could have been a bit more powerful, but we like it pretty cold at night.

• Gerryaf (8/5): I - It was a great location for us. We liked the patio attached. A great spot to relax . We travelled around by metro and bus. Easy from this location. Also very walkable to restaurants. There is no where to hang your clothes. There was only one coffee cup. No glasses etc. There is a fridge, microwave and a water heater to heat water up. It seems still a place undergoing renovation. There is always some noise. It is LA and the place is on a busy street.

The bed was clean. the room reminds me of some old granny's house. stale musty smell in the room and in the bathroom, dust on the chandelier, lamps, cabinets, the carpet doesn't look clean. I was afraid to touch everything there. I opened the window to air out the room, but the smell didn't go away.
• Agnes (7/5): Private and calm house in Hollywood - We were a bit unsure about this place when we arrived, as the house from the outside honestly looked a bit unkept, with paper that covered some of the windows and a very dirty car on the driveway and the stairs leading up to the door being a bit broken. However, once we entered the inside of the building we were positively surprised by the very well kept interior, our big room and the very fresh and clean bathroom. Even though some furniture are very old as the interior style is vintage, everything felt tidy and well kept. We did not meet the host or any other guest during our stay which gave it more of an airbnb vibe. Finding parking on the street outside the house was easy for us and the neighbourhood felt quiet and safe.

• Rimmer (4/5): Not an easy place - Location is ok, close to Hollywood. 1) The room is sharing one bathroom with 3 other rooms and it is always full. The host mentioned the bathroom is shared with the other room which is not true. It’s 4 rooms sharing one bathroom and we were always got stuck because of this; 2) There is free street parking but it’s always full. It’s not impossible for us to get parking spot, so we had to drive several blocks away to find parking and walked back to the room; 3) the basic amenities are not refilled such as no body wash. We came back from outside in the night, wanted to take a shower and slept but there was no soap (4 rooms are sharing 1 bathroom). The host asked why we didn’t tell her to refill. But is it how it’s supposed to be?

• Monika (8/5): A lovely place, very convenient location. - The location made it very easy to enjoy Hollywood. It was a unique place to stay filled with antiques and the design was memorable. You can tell that each piece of furniture has a story behind it and was carefully and intentionally picked. It could be a little cleaner, with more amenities (there was no tissue box, and no hair conditioner). The room temperature is automatically set and cannot be changed.

Thank you, Peter Y. M. The property was great. Miscommunication with Booking staff was a little problem getting the proper address from booking. My call with Booking was disconnected and they did not have the decency to call back. Thank God the property owner reached out before my arrival and was kind enough to assist. Well located in Hollywood, not far from the walk of fame. A little noise from the street, you might want earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

It was perfect and fit my needs. The host provided excellent instructions with entrance and door codes. I felt safe in the neighborhood. I would definitely recommend to my family and friends. I could complain about the road noise, but I won’t because it wasn’t loud enough to ruin my sleep. However, it might bother someone who’s a light sleeper.

• Ryan (8/5): Great stay - Love the tub. It's well appointed and clean. Good location. Would've been nice to have some untecils with which to eat, as well as some small plates. Also a microwave would've enhanced the stay.
• Evelyn (1/5): Unclean and uncomfortable. - Available street parking. There was a rat in my room with visible rat poop on the bed and tables. I did get a new room and a cleaning service fee refund, but I still wouldn't stay there. The property seems to have vents that aren't sealed, so I still felt uncomfortable in the new room because I'm sure the rats simply travel everywhere. Overall, I would NOT stay in a place with a rat problem. There have been other reviews describing a lack of cleanliness and the place being filled with rats, so I'm not the first to face this issue. I don't believe the property is well managed.

• Annika (10/5): Historical gem in the heart of Hollywood! - This is an absolutely gorgeous place to stay. It's truly remarkable how much effort was put into the interior. It is comfortable and beautifully designed in a Rococo style, like a room at Versailles. It has modern heating and appliances, and is also in a convenient location, close to grocery stores and many yummy restaurants! It worked perfectly well to fullfil our needs. As a historical home, the water took some time to heat up and the stairs may be a bit steep for some, but it was not a problem at all for us.

• Micah (3/5): You've Been Warned - Very convenient to downtown Hollywood. Quaint, oldschool interior which could be made pleasant with some additional time and investment. Stuffy, hot, drab bedroom. Ceiling fan and light was broken when I arrived, so I stumbled around searching for a lamp to turn on. The property description includes A/C... there was no air conditioning or ventilation in the room - dead, hot, stale air. I had to open the window and endure the extremely loud road noise just so I could breathe. Just to be clear: 3 bedrooms are sharing 1 bathroom. This stay will be much more pleasant for you if you book out all 3 rooms... it'll be awkward if you're among strangers who may/may not be suffering from severe emotional issues and/or experiencing a bad drug trip during your stay. Then again.. you may get lucky. Yes, its one of the less expensive rooms this close to Hollywood, but its not worth the savings. This is a $50 room.. not a penny more.

• Leopold (1/5): a scam, don't book here! - This place is a scam. And that’s why they are not on google, and they don’t do refunds. You won’t have a beautiful bathtub, but a shower that smells vomit. The terrace is a joke, it’s so dirty you won’t be able to sit anywhere. The main door doesn’t work. Also, they lied and said that I did not honor my booking to prevent me from writing a review to say the truth. Professional swindlers! Don’t book, you’ll definitely regret it.
• Georgina (9/5): Superb - The rooms were really big and nicely decorated and comfortable (bed, chairs, everything). The bathroom was clean and really luxe with a claw foot bathtub. We shared a bathroom but that wasn't an issue. The location was awesome. We walked into hollywood andto pretty much everything and while we had a short stay it had everything we needed. The host was so helpful and overall I can't really fault this place at all. Actually I went back after writing this and gave it more stars haha. The rooms weren't entirely sound proof but it was more muffled noises than anything. The other guests were really respectful so that wasn't much of an issue but for anyone needing dead silence, maybe consider one of the non sharing bathroom rooms etc.

It was close to generally everything in Hollywood, we were able to explore Melrose Avenue and everything. Our bathroom was private, but was still connected to another room so I was a little paranoid someone would come in but they didn’t.

• Victor (7/5): Good - The property was great a little confusing at first to enter, but the instructions helped the parking would be the only situation in which I would complain about. I didn’t get a parking ticket so if you’re traveling with more than one vehicle, be careful me and my girlfriend, both of us got tickets, just because we did not get early and move the vehicles which if I’m on vacation on our leisure trip, I shouldn’t be bother with moving my vehicles early in the morning 
• Tom (9/5): Amazing stay in LA - Very friendly help, amazing location and loved the look of the place! Great price for the room and location. Any questions were answered quickly and effectively. With free parking in front, everything worked out well. The house is very noisy, both when others do things inside as well as with traffic outside. The bed and chairs in the room were fine, but could have been more comfortable.

• Selina (9/5): Superb - The host was very nice and accomodated early check-in and late check-out. She was alway easy to reach, but we had no need to contact her because everything was great. The location ist also really good for sight-seeing and we felt safe. We would definitely come back :)) It can be a bit loud because it ist just off the main road. We had no difficulties with sleeping but if you are a light sleeper maybe bring ear plugs.

Please consider incorporating washing machines for your guests as for long stays it’s really an inconvenience to have to go a laundry while you are staying in a self catering.

I'm a professional interior designer and I was beyond impressed, which happens infrequently. Host is extremely responsive, friendly and communicates well. Each room is different, but mine had a stunning clawfoot bathtub that I will miss dearly. Location was also very convenient to Hollywood, Los Feliz and downtown. As a coffee connessuer, I would have enjoyed a coffee maker in the room, or a shared Keurig in the hallway for all to enjoy. Also, more hooks and towel bars for hanging things since there is no closet in this particular room. People with any mobility issues should take note that there are a lot of stairs, navigation and walking from parking space. This is best suited for fit people who have lived in a big city before. There is a lot of noise from cars on the busy street. However, it is easily muted by white noise or TV. There's a lot of greenery surrounding the house. I know it would destroy the vintage vibe, but a microwave would have been appreciated.

• Joann (10/5): Exceptional - The room was charming and well-appointed. The house was older but definitely well maintained and clean. (The kitchen and bathroom were cleaned twice in the 4 nights we stayed there). Despite the three bedrooms on first sharing a bathroom and kitchen, it felt very private. We didn't experience any logjams or waits for the bathroom (obviously this depends on your schedule). Our bedroom also had terrace access with a view of the backyard- definitely a lovely bonus. Great place for breakfast in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. The location was excellent. Despite being located in a somewhat residential neighborhood, Hollywood Home is walkable to several plazas with daily amenities. Gelson's supermarket is about a 5 mins walk. Across the street is a small market selling artisanal foods, craft beers, and wine. There are also vegan/vegetarian options within the same area. The location is also right on top of Thai town with access to great restaurants as well as walkable or a short drive (less than 20 minutes) to N Cahuenga Blvd and Sunset Blvd for nightlife. * I recommend Heng Heng Chicken Rice- definitely worth the hype! There are also two bars a couple blocks from the bed and breakfast. La Poubelle was busy on Saturday night. We could also walk to hike to Griffith Observatory, Griffith Park, Hollywood Sign, and the Barnesdall Art Park. We were also able to take the subway (10 min walk) to Santa Monica Pier. Being from NYC, we were pleasantly surprised by how easily we could get around without a car. Given our lack of familiarity with LA neighborhoods, we were definitely glad we stumbled on this place last minute. Hollywood Home was a great place to stay for our LA trip. The property manager Nataya and other staff were kind, courteous, and proactive about making our stay comfortable. Thanks!
• Niovi (9/5): Relaxing stay at a nice location - The room was spacious, quiet overlooking at the private back garden; it was lovely. The hostess was very helpfull and nice. We liked particularly the location as it was walking distance from the Griffith Obse There were little things that were missing, like glasses we could use for water and coasters, and a bathmatte for the shower/bath. All were small and trivial.
• Anat (8/5): The owner is charming and flexible. Shared bathroom and toilet. - We ended up staying in a room in Beverly Hills belonging to the same owners. We liked the flexibility and desire to please. Google Map led us the hard way to the place. There is a more comfortable way to drive.

• M (6/5): I would stay again during the winter despite the annoyances outlined. - The owners are a pleasure to speak with and were very swift on replies through this app when I was being misrouted. The room was clean and pristine, the shared bathroom is brand new and the shower phenomenal. The AC is not adjustable in room and after speaking with an owner I discovered it can only be turned down to 71. For many people this is probably fine, but for me it was uncomfortable because I sleep hot and since I could not lower the temperature it was not the most pleasant sleeping experience. Adding a fan would be nice so that the room has air movement without the need to open windows and let in outside humidity/heat/noise. They have no tolerance at all for parking in their drive to unload bags, and my parking spot on the street was close to two blocks away which makes for very uncomfortable walks back and forth to unload. While I understand they want to maintain use of their drive, and not impede their neighbor, they should also consider the loading in experience of guests. When I arrived, there were two large towels and two small towels. Nothing on the bathroom floor for when stepping out of the shower. This latter point was fine, (I used a towel), but then I needed a towel replenishment on the following day and I was brought only one towel. Lastly, the side entrance I went through has a gate with a nonfunctional lock, not a big deal, but the walkway is unkempt and looks trashy, and up the poorly lit staircase there is unused furniture that appears to simply be in “storage” which congests the hallway to the room. These are nitpicky details, but for the price it feels like they should not be issues that guests encounter.
• Akın (1/5): that was not clean - i didn’t like at all. the location was good The hotel is terrible at cleanliness. We stayed at the hotel for a week and the room was never cleaned. We had to use the same towels for a week. The toilet was so dirty every time we went in. I really wonder how often they clean it. When we first arrived at the hotel, we only got one message. There is nothing like a lobby or someone to show you your room in the hotel. I will never stay again and I do not recommend it to anyone.
