Guest Reviews
- DirkD (7/5): A very pleasant one night stop over - definitely plan to go back - Quant cottage with very pretty garden, had a large pleasant bedroom with dining/kitchenette and very large bathroom. Also a table on the verandah overlooking the beautiful garden Would be nice if they had real coffee, either a plunger or bean to cup or percolator, instant coffee doesn't cut it for me
- Hartmut (10/5): - Everything was perfectly fine
- Denis (10/5): I’ve stayed in quite a few Howick B&B’s and this is the best by far - Very spacious and comfortable Lovely garden and private
- Aletta (10/5): -
- Dickon (8/5): Very enjoyable with a great host - Beautiful old Howick house ! Nicely furnished and very comfortable Needs a washing machine !
- Treloar (10/5): - Friendly efficient welcome. Centrally located Ticking clock. Removed battery and replaced in the morning
- Debbie (10/5): Lovely. Would definitely recommend to others - More space than I expected. Lovely bedroom with a comfortable bed, large bathroom with a glorious shower and a bath and a lounge with kitchenette.
We had a lovely stay. Nice and close to Pietermaritzburg where I needed to start my run
- Keith (10/5): Easy going, comfortable and well located. The host is friendly and very helpful and is on call in case of any queries. - Spacious and comfortable
- Sally (9/5): Very pleasant. Will recommend it to others. - Size of rooms. Perhaps notification that we could have bought bread to make toast for breakfast.
- Brunsdon (8/5): Very good - Large, spacious bathroom. Peaceful veranda. I appreciated the extras - soaps, rusks, mosquito cream. Judy was pleasant and helpful. I left my cell phone charger in the room, and she offered to drop it at a store in Howick, that is owned by a relative of mine. There was a vagrant sitting in the street, which is no fault of Judy's, but was a little unsettling when we arrived.
- Conrad (10/5): Very comfortable stay - will definitely stay here if next in the area - Extremely comfortable bed. Very spacious. Was not expecting the little lounge. Will definitely consider staying here in future. Perhaps a small basin in the dining roon/lounge area. Not that we needed this as we were only staying one night but if we stay longer next time a proper kitchenette would be great
- Leen (10/5): Lovely - The location is very central
- Deirdre (10/5): Exceptional - Judy gave wonderful recommendations. I was there to swim midmar. It was the perfect location to the dam as well as restaurants and shops. The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable, and the bathroom was massive

Heritage Haven fully deserves 10 out of 10.

- Cheryl (9/5): A Heavenly Haven in Howick - Judy was a lovely host, and the accommodation she offers is extremely comfortable, beautifully appointed, and ticks all the boxes required for a short stay. I stayed for 5 days while visiting my mother at the Ambers Care Center, and it would definitely be my go-to place should I need accommodation in Howick again. I had my main meal at lunchtime, so fortunately I didn't need to prepare much in the evening, but a welcome addition for me personally would've been a coffee plunger, otherwise everything else was perfect. Thank you Judy

- Marjory (10/5): From arrival to departure we felt welcome, comfortable and at home: an outstanding place to stay! - Location extremely convenient, easy to find and very quiet. The historically interesting and beautifully maintained house is set in a tranquil well-tended garden.
Heritage Haven is unusually comfortable and roomy, with high-ceilinged, spacious separate sitting-room and bedroom, large ensuite bathroom, all with morning sun, and has a comfortable expansive front veranda: all tastefully furnished and decorated.
Judy is a friendly, most considerate hostess, not at all intrusive, who provided us with delicious muffins for breakfast, and arranged for the apartment to be serviced, which was much appreciated.
The safe parking area is conveniently close to the house, and reassuringly one can see the car from the bedroom window.
- Miles (10/5): Exceptional -

- Jonathan (10/5): Heritage Haven offered a comfortable, secure stay with excellent amenities, including reliable Wi-Fi and safe parking, a - My stay at Heritage Haven was very enjoyable. Judy was a great host who made sure I had everything I needed for a comfortable visit. The room was large, clean, and the wooden floors were a nice touch. The Wi-Fi was reliable, allowing me to work remotely without any issues. Additionally, there was safe parking for my car, and I could easily see it from the bedroom window, which gave me peace of mind. I particularly liked spending time on the patio, which was a great spot to sit and enjoy the garden view. This is a great bed and breakfast, and I look forward to coming back again.
- Candiese (10/5): Beautiful, clean, tranquil and spacious. - The location was really simple and easy to find from the freeway, a beautiful place to stay, massive bathroom, big bedroom, clean, beautiful tranquil lighting, a gorgeous claw bath and a big shower, separate entrance, neat, classy and tidy, and quiet. A very big and spacious place with separate lounge and a beautiful balcony. Judy was so accommodating of our odd hours and left us breakfast items in the fridge to help ourselves. Bed was very comfortable. Highly recommended! Thank you for a great experience.
