• Elizabeth (8/5): Great island and lovely place to stay - Lovely staff, nice linen and aircon. Cute way cleaners had left towels in elephant shape on bed, good trips on offer. They gave a really good briefing when we arrived about various facilities and the trips and breakfast etc. The only downside was before we arrived and I needed to book the ferry but they didn’t come back for more than 24hrs. Unknown to us they automatically book slots if ferry for their guest but I needed to ensure we would meet it as coming from another island. I expect that staff are in to messages. The other bummer but no major was that the lady who came with us in the whale shark trip which was expensive didn’t have a camera/video so no capturing of us under the water.

Die Entfernung zum Tourist bzw. Bikini Beach, dem offiziellen Strand, beträgt ca. 1,4 km bzw. mehr, wenn man etwas ruhiger liegen möchte. Moschee in hörweite von der Unterkunft.
• Dariusz (10/5): Jesteśmy bardzo zadowoleni - Świetne miejsce, czyste i klimatyczne. Bardzo zaangażowany i pomocny personel. Smaczne śniadania. Przez całą dobę dostępna kawa, herbata i woda źródlana . Po prostu polecam ! Nie ma takich rzeczy.

• Gareth (9/5): - Our stay here was wonderful, the staff were super helpful and even let us borrow some very nice diving fins. lots of guidance on food options and flexibility with tours. The towel decorations were very funny as well :D Only downside was the plumbing in the bathroom was not the best and smelled a little.

Thoose guys gave us the feeling to stay in one of the luxury resorts. One more time: Thank you Rafhaan and your team! The lights the bathroom are a bit too dark and caused by the cold led light temperature, it was quiete uncoszy in the bathroom.

• Dawson (10/5): Perfect stay on a local island with amazing staff and experiences. - The staff here are amazing as are the excursions they organize. They went above and beyond to make my experience great. I stayed at a 5 star luxury resort in the Maldives after Akiri and I found myself wishing I had stayed at Akiri instead.
• Rebecca (8/5): - El personal nos conquistó desde antes de llegar y durante toda la estancia, sobre todo por el trato recibido. Rafhaan se encargó de que pudiéramos hacer todas las excursiones que teníamos en mente y siempre estuvo dispuesto a ayudarnos en todo lo que necesitáramos. Da una atención excelente y se nota que está pendiente de mil detalles a la vez para que todos los huéspedes disfruten, lo cual tiene muchísimo mérito. El desayuno a la carta nos gustó mucho: todo recién hecho y con buena calidad. Como aspecto a mejorar, nos dio la sensación de que dependen bastante de terceros para las excursiones. Si no encontraban fotógrafo o suficientes personas para realizarlas, podían cancelarse, y a veces no te lo confirmaban hasta la noche anterior o incluso la misma mañana. También, aunque la habitación era amplia y estaba muy limpia, echamos en falta algunos detalles como crema corporal, acondicionador y una actualización de la ropa de cama, ya que las sábanas tenían bolitas y resultaban un poco ásperas. Aun así, la experiencia fue buena en general. ¡Gracias especialmente a Rafhaan por hacerla aún mejor!
• Svenja (10/5): Schöne zentrale Unterkunft - Sehr schöne neue Unterkunft, alle waren immer sehr bemüht, haben sich gut gekümmert und waren sehr hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und es gibt eine kleine aber gute Auswahl. Wasser, Cafe, Tee stehen jederzeit zur kostenlosen Verfügung, ebenso wie Strandhandtücher und Mückenspray. Restaurants und Cafés sind nicht weit entfernt und der Bikini beach ist auch nur einen kleinen Strandspaziergang entfernt. Ausflüge kann man direkt in der Unterkunft buchen. Der Transfer per Speedboat wird auch von der Unterkunft koordiniert.

• Emilia (10/5): Beatiful hotel with super helpful and friendly staff - Beautiful, very clean and well-kept hotel. All around pretty and peaceful. Special mention for delicious breakfast. It was prepared each day specifically for each guest per our choices. The staff made it exceptional: the communication was top notch, I was fully informed on all practicalities. They arranged the transfers to and from the island, were there to welcome me in the harbour and also escorted me on the time for departure. They borrowed snorkel and fins, and also rented a bike for adventuring around the island. Joined 2 excursions: manta ray and whale shark. Both were successful with sightings, and well organized.

Breakfast excellent, choice of several options, Maldivian breakfast very tasty, always everything freshly prepared. Trip options, bike rental, beach within walking distance, grocery stores, souvenirs and restaurants nearby. The staff is amazing, kind and smiling. Thank you all for a beautiful and relaxing stay at this hotel.
• Cecilia (10/5): Beautiful please run by local family🏝️ - Everyone is so kind, they arrange your snorkel trips when you arrive to the hotel, they give you guidance in what to do on the island, bug spray, towels to take with you anywhere, they make cute towels figures, very helpful and clear with the payments, snorkel gear for you to take anywhere. Also before we arrived we asked them if they could arrange the speed boat to the island and they did, with very clear instructions. And it’s run by a local family🫶🏻🌴. That I can’t live in there🥲

I got sick last day and they helped with medicines, etc. We have great time in Dhigurah and loved staying at Akiri! We were served lovely breakfast every day, our room was cleaned every day, we got beach towels, snorkeling gear.... And it was very quiet and calm place. Nothing not to like!

• Joana (9/5): The place is really good… but I think they should communicate better - The place was perfect and the breakfast was very good I was told to pay with card with extra charge or cash, so I asked where is the closest cash machine and they told me, went to get cash and when I was going to pay they said only in dollars, so basically I ended up with plenty of money in rufiya that I couldn’t spend. I guess they could have told me before sending me to a machine that wasn’t going to give me dollars. Also I spoke with a diving center to go diving and they were going to come to the place to give me some information, but someone else came from another center and I ended up going with different people, basically the person in charge of the excursions told them to not come and sent someone else from another center that probably had a deal with, and I only realised after of course.

We can recommend the Maldives breakfast. We will definitely come back next year to this beautiful island and to these great people in this beautiful hotel. • Christin (10/5): Exceptional - This was my first time staying at Akiri after being a guest in other guesthouses on Dhigurah. This one was the best! The facilities were excellent and clean, I didn't miss anything. I liked the relaxed atmosphere there. There are only five rooms in total and you can quickly get in touch if you want to. The breakfast was excellent! You can choose from different options every day (try the Maldivian!). The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, even when I came up with my own spontaneous ideas. Excursions take place daily and I really enjoyed every single one. Thank you for the lovely time! I will definitely come back :)

• Sarah (10/5): Everything about Akiri is EXCEPTIONAL! - Everything!! Akiri is a 10/10. We stayed for a total of 7 night on the island of Dhigurah, during our time on the island we ended up staying in 3 different hotels due to availability. Of the 3 different properties Akiri was by far the best! The property is small and super cute. They have everything you could need for a comfortable stay. They have tea, coffee and filtered water available all day, bonus they have great espresso available as well. The breakfast is abundant and delicious. They give you lots of options to pick from which is nice if you’re staying for many nights. However perhaps the best part of Akiri is the staff, they are truly exceptional. Kind, welcoming, helpful and always have a smile on their face! The rooms are clean, spacious and have a lovely balcony to enjoy slow mornings. Highly recommended staying at Akiri if coming to Dhigurah! Nothing.

• Akiraharu12 (10/5): Small gem in paradise - - The room and entrance are beautifully furnished. - The staff, especially Adheel, Gayan, and Maren, were very kind and extremely helpful! - We had everything we needed. The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. - Often, when the room was cleaned, Gayan surprised us with new towel art, which we really appreciated. - The location is close to the port. Bikini Beach is about a 15-20 minute walk. Restaurants and a supermarket are nearby. - Scooters and bicycles can be rented upon request. - Activities for the next day are announced the evening before. They collaborate with the Oceanholic Dive Centre, which is well-organized and very helpful. We had a lot of fun diving with them. We enjoyed our stay at Akiri and would gladly come back! We didn't miss anything, but here are a few notes about some things that might be surprising or unexpected: - The reception is not staffed all day. However, if we needed anything, we simply texted the hotel via WhatsApp, and they responded promptly. - There’s no television in the room (we didn’t miss it). - Don’t leave any fresh food out on the table, as it will attract ants.

The hotel has a lot of charm and the rooms are super curious. Breakfast is great too. I definitely recommend it to you. Todo perfecto.

Next time, we would definitely like to stay longer! (Doesn’t concern the hotel) A few restaurants, souvenir shops and grocery stores won’t accept card payment, so it’s important to take some cash with you.

• Syuhada (10/5): Exceptional - The guesthouse is very clean. Its a great place to stay with affordable prices. The staffs are very friendly and will provide all the informations that you need to know. They can take you on any excursions that you wish to have such as whaleshark/manta snorkelling!
• Andrzej (7/5): If u are up to stay 2-3 days its fine, i dont recommend longer than that. - Well i liked the maldivian breakfast, but only the first 2 days. Last day staff offered us to go to other guesthouse for a diffrent breakfast which was delicious. There are only 2 breakfast maldivian and continental to choose. Gayan is very friendly and always helpful. He is doing great job in cleaning rooms. They greeted us with coconut water, let us change room because of skewers smell and water pump working very loudly. Location (there is mosquet nearby so you will hear when its time to pray), bad smell from the skewers (its done wrong, not fault of Gayan), boring breakfast only 2 type of it. Its overpriced like most of maldives. Firstable we had our room on ground floor, but water pump is just behind bathroom and its working really loud. Rooms are pretty narrow. They wanted also us to pay for some extra boat trips, but we werent on any. So i can tell you becarefull if u are going to maldives because there are a lot of „mistakes”.

I will definitely come back in the future. I would also like to recommend this hotel to my friends if they come to visit Dhigurah island. Not applicable. Everything is perfect! The staff is very patient and professional. The food is well prepared and served quickly. The staff provided good recommendation for our trip and activities.
• Josip (10/5): Exceptional - This is our second time coming to the Maldives, the first time in Dhigurah. Akiri is a brand new facility, a family boutique hotel, in a quiet location, very clean, with beautiful wooden furniture, and we felt great in it. The staff is very attentive and accommodating. especially the manager Jumaan and Gayan, the young man who served us breakfast and who tidied up the room and made sure we always had fresh water, clean towels and made beautiful art installations on the bed. We also went on a trip where we went diving with whales dog. We stayed at the hotel for 12 nights (with a delicious breakfast included) and on the last evening, the owners of the hotel treated us to a delicious dinner prepared by the owner's mother and sister. If we had not already booked a stay further away, on another island, we would have stayed in Akira and we cried because we were leaving. All recommendations for Akiri Dhigurah and see you again!
• Emm1f (10/5): Very good. Clean, friendly and smiley people. A local island experience - Very friendly and helpful people, smiley faces. Jumaan booked the speedboat for me. Everything went smoothly. It was a relaxing stay, the 1st floor rooms had a balcony. The hotel is small, kind of a boutique hotel, among the local houses, and looks like it was built recently, the rooms looked nice. Wi-Fi was stable, the speed was about 10-50mbps. Decent for a remote island. I would stay there again. It is a good place for quiet people. The local mosque (masjid) is located 50 meters away, so during morning time prayer it offers you the possibility to wake up and see the sunrise. It would be nice to have some more vegan/vegetarian options for breakfast. Anyway, there's a good local restaurant nearby. Mosquitoes were present on the island (not in the room), even on the balcony. The hotel provided mosquito repellent and sunscreen for free. During the rainy season, one should be careful.

• Weverton (10/5): Unforgettable experience! - I can't even put into words how amazing it was staying at Akiri Dhigurah. Jumaan is the most kind and attentive manager. He looked after us like we were part of the family. Breakfast was amazing, the room very spacious and comfortable. I am so happy I chose this place for our Dhigurah visit. I don't think there is any other place in the island that is magical like this one. Nothing! I loved it all

The rooms are pure comfort with a Western 4-star vibe and the Maldivian breakfast is absolutely amazing. What truly set this hotel apart was the exceptional service provided by the staff. They consistently went above and beyond, ensuring a memorable experience throughout my stay. Shoutout to Gayan, the cleaning legend from Sri Lanka, who pleasantly surprised me turning towels into art every day! The overall atmosphere and great internet connection eventually led me to extend my stay to almost a week. It’s important to note that the hotel's location on the opposite side of the sand bank. Be prepared for either a lengthy walk or a $20 tuktuk roundtrip ride.
