Guest Reviews
- Joyce (8/5): Nice stay on Bruny - It was a nice comfortable house with very nice beds. Good sized kitchen. Great selection of books and games to use. Wifi was good, and so tv was good. Didn't use the outside much as the weather was rubbish, but garden was lovely, full of birds. That gate that we had to keep opening and closing (by lifting off a stone and then dragging open) was a pain. Keys were hard to use. Hot water ran out during last shower, and water was very cold.
Patchy communication with owner.
- Jill (8/5): There was a lot to see in the area, but enjoyed relaxing. - Such a beautiful spot. Would be lovely in the summer but cosy while it was cold and wet. Having a washing machine would have been handy, but understand why not with limited water availability.
- Anne (1/5): - We couldn't stay because the place had not been cleaned at 4pm and the owner told us he couldn't arrange a cleaner
- Carla (9/5): -
- Lyndall (10/5): - Location was spectacular with water views and bush, so quiet and peaceful and close to local shops quick 10 minute walk away everything we needed inside the property including board games and lots of books to read will definetly be staying again
- Kevin (9/5): -
- Anne (9/5): A lovely short stay, minutes from the beach - Great location, very clean
- Ka Man (8/5): -
- Donna (8/5): Very comfortable - There was no washing machine. When we did our search with booking.com we requested a washing machine, bath and off street parking.
- Khandakar (10/5): -
- Simon (8/5): Well worth the stay. - It was comfortable, quiet and private and very light. A few more kitchen utensils, a small saucepan and please supply kitchen sink rubber gloves for washing up.
- Ross (9/5): - The location was fine. The property was well appointed and well presented. Nothing really.
- Kaye (10/5): We loved being able to let our dogs run fee in a secured environment - Location beauty of the area availability food peacefulness
- Belinda (10/5): Fabulous spot for children including furry ones. - Great place for kids and dogs. Fully fenced yard, lots of equipment for the kids and easy location to explore the island Dishwasher was very small, spent most of the trip washing by hand
- Barry (9/5): Fantastic - Quiet, wonderful location lots of space Initially lack of hot water but this time as soon resolved
- Timefortravel (9/5): Away with friends - Great position in Adventure Bay. House was clean and conformable. Only minor problems, nothing of concern. Overall very happy with stay
- Milton (7/5): A reasonable good property and location. Highly recommend owners to upgrade shower area. - Great secured yard for our puppies. The shower/bath considered dangerously high from the ground which made it quite difficult to get in and out for an able person. A decent size TV would have been nice.
- Rosemary (10/5): - Lovely place, great views, clean, comfortable, great amenities. Only thing I would suggest is a handrail in the shower. We would definitely go there again. It was one of the best places I've stayed. Thank you to the owners.
- Nicole (10/5): -
- John (8/5): A very relaxing peaceful stay. Thankyou so much & look forward to our next visit in summer. - The peaceful atmosphere of the area & privacy in the garden and lovely outlook onto garden & water views.
- julie (10/5): -
- Bronwyn (1/5): I walked in and walked straight back out - Nothing Filthy stained sofas. Fire alarm was beeping constantly. Clearly not working. A health hazard. Personal belongs left outside back door . Cupboard fronts falling off in bathroom. Washing machine not available. Reading reviews had not been available for some time . I have not received a refund . Apparently host thinks this is acceptable.
- Teoh (7/5): Good -
- Smidmore (8/5): Adventure in Adventure Bay - We had a lovely fire out the back. Thanks It was fine 👍
- Shant (8/5): Very good -
- Guy (9/5): It was nice to stay again after a long time and see the improvements made to the property. - As we have stayed there before, about 15yrs ago, the location was perfect for what we wanted to do on the island. Being not on the main road, it was quiet and had a lovely aspect catching the morning sun. Although we didn't use it, the outdoor undercover entertaining area would of been fun to use
- Ian (9/5): Comfortable , and dog friendly - Great dog friendly house and yard.
Coffee pod machine and pods.
Good selection of board games.
Starlink internet
Outdoor gas barbeque , open fire Nothing
- Marion (10/5): Exceptional - Convenient to everything. Cozy and homely.
- Rebecca (8/5): Very good -
- Jackie (8/5): Beautiful position and house has everything you could need; very comfortable - Great space with everything you could need.
Very clean; beautiful garden a view of the bay Neighbours playing head banging music from 5.00pm until 9.00pm off and on disturbed the serenity of the place
- Ken (8/5): Great to have a whole house rather than just a room. - Nice private location with private off street parking. Garbage from previous guests had not been removed.
- Linda (8/5): Very good - Proximity, view. No TV, entertainment system too confusing to bother with, no washing machine.
- Holyoake (9/5): Warm, inviting and comfortable - This is a beautiful house that was well set out with everything we would need. It is in a quiet area not far from the main thoroughfare. The wildlife visit (rabbits) the yard but do scare easily. We could hear the waves on the beach from the main bedroom. We liked that there was two large beds for each of us. It was in a good location for us with our early start the next day. The parking is a little tight to turn around in and took some backwards and forwards to turn the car around in the back yard. There was supposed to be a washing machine, but it broke down before we came and wasn't replaced by the time of our stay which was a little disheartening as this was one of the reasons I booked this place to do the first wash of our trip.
- Hannah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cassandra (10/5): We felt so comfortable here- we wish we could have stayed longer- such thoughtful hospitality! - This place well and truly exceeded our expectations. The gardens absolutely blew us away - everything was in bloom and it was so incredibly beautiful. The secret trails through the garden were thoroughly explored with squeals of joy from our little ones, with so much beautiful bird watching in the gardens. The value for money was incredible with so many thoughtful inclusions. We felt so at home and comfortable, it was difficult to leave. The selection of books was great - my daughter read a couple cover to cover. And the Lego and dvds for the kids was so thoughtful. Even the colours and curtains were so tastefully designed, it was just such a great place to feel at home. This place is a gem! Nothing! Though a barbecue spatula scraper thing would be awesome - we couldn’t find one. The throwing bit from Finska was also missing.
- Claire (9/5): Lovely amenities and a beautiful outlook. - A warm cosy and loved house and garden. Views were wonderful. The big step up into the bath/shower. A hand rail would be good
- Guy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anna (9/5): Superb - Lovely house - beautiful garden - had everything we needed-
- Alvin (7/5): Nice comfy home away from home, nice and comfy beds, clean toilet and shower and great to have the Smart TV - Cosy and quiet The pots and pans could be in a better shape
- Sally (9/5): Very well maintained house and comfortable close to waterfront - Lovely cottage with beautiful gardens and ocean view
- Frank (9/5): Superb -
- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Norma (5/5): Passable -
- Philip (7/5): Good -
- Katanyou (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dwannylyn (10/5): A fantastic place to stay; would definitely return - Very comfortable; great yard for the pupper; had everything we needed; great view and a short walk from Main Street/beach at Adventure Bay
- Mcdonald (7/5): Good - Unfortunately property not cleaned prior to arrival, so required us cleaning up last guests and remaking beds etc. Cleaner was arranged for the next day, but by then we'd pretty much done it all. Unfortunate and hopefully isolated event, but a bit of a dampener on our stay.
- Yu (8/5): Very good -
- Ciel (9/5): Superb -
- Ashima (10/5): Amazing property for stay with family/friends with kids -
- Jacobson (10/5): Exceptional -
- Charles (8/5): Short family stay for nature, bush walking and Oysters. - Lovely gardens and a forest/bay outlook. Short walk to the general store for coffee in the morning. Reasonably well equiped kitchen. Quiet location. Nice family holiday home. It is a bit chilly but the heat pump was effective after a while. Could benefit from a sieve, a better peeler, a bbq metal spatula, metal tongs and some egg cups. A few bulbs replaced would make kitchen cooking and the bbq area a bit easier.
- Julie (10/5): Great -
- Sharon (7/5): Good - We liked the location. We enjoyed the outdoor fire and the garden is beautiful. There were dirty plates and glasses in the cupboard. We could not get the TV to work although noticed a broken one under the lounge so maybe a recent issue. The beds were not that comfortable, especially the bunk bed.
- Jane (8/5): Comfortable stay with the pups - Fenced off and dog friendly - a lovely comfortable stay. The bath over shower was a bit odd/awkward.
- Nikita (10/5): Lovely little cottage - Lovely, quiet and private cottage
