Guest Reviews
- David (4/5): A lot of potential but the location and presentation let's it down. - The house was roomy and spacious enough for a family of 6. There was a funny smell in the kitchen and no sign of any air freshener or effort to get rid of the staleness. The bed sheets were not clean and hair as well as body odour was detected in them. My wife observed that the duvet covers were simply reversed.
The cooker was not working which resulted in the family having to eat out and incur extra costs. The was an all round staleness to the property which is a shame considering it's potential.
- Murden (10/5): - Clean, tidy and well kept, in a nice quiet area and very spacious, provided all appliances needed for a comfortable stay The WiFi didn't work :(
- Lisa (1/5): -
- Natacha (6/5): Adequate accomodation. Would not return - Layout of house. Ease of parking. Grubby cooking equipment. Blocked bath plug. Bulbs not working in kitchen. Tap on basin not fixed and free to use.
- Brandon (10/5): -
- Antony (7/5): Great stay and perfect for what we needed it for. - It was a lovely property very homely. The WiFi didn’t work so we couldn’t utilise the TV and with the lack of signal inside the property we couldn’t use our phones.
Would of liked a microwave but we everything else was amazing
- Borders Couple (9/5): - Well equipped accommodation Bedroom in loft space was quite hot and couldn't get window open.
- Georgina (10/5): Beautiful home - had everything we needed - will be back! - We loved staying here and will be coming back! Free off-street parking and keybox made check in easy. The place was clean, nicely decorated and had everything we needed for our trip. Nothing not to like!
- Carolyn (9/5): near to arena, homely and well equipped - house is beautiful decorated and tastefully equipped with everything we needed.
lots of things like blankets, pillows and books and games out etc made it really homely and a nice place to be.
free WiFi and TV channels and tea and coffee and toiletries etc was nice too.
good communication and Petar the host was very friendly and helpful.
5 minutes Uber ride costing £8 to the arena and similar to Meadowhall so great location in a busy residential area. there are two sets of very steep stairs to access the third bedroom which would make it very difficult for someone with mobility problems or bad knee etc to get up there, it doesn't show or mention these in the description.
- Alexander (1/5): Bad -
- Helen (3/5): Nice house , shame about the location. - House was well decorated, although some aspects of the house needed tiding up. Main bedroom door didn't shut and had a crack in it. The grass needed cutting and recycling bin was full when we arrived. Cigarette butt's out in the garden when we arrived.
Great communication from owner in terms of checking in and out. Was clear a lot of love had gone into the inside of the house. Awful location. Rubbish on the streets, first morning a dead rat was outside the car. House was located on a REALLY steep hill, which I wish there had been some warning about.
- Dayzer (10/5): A very clean spacious house that is ideally located for Sheffield/Rotherham. - The house was very clean and very spacious, the beds were very comfy and the bathroom and kitchen were both of a very large size. The house was in an ideal location for us to travel to with ease and to get to our destination. The owner kept me fully informed right up to and after our stay. We will look to book again if we are next in the area. We could not fault our stay in any way whatsoever.
- Stanley (1/5): Feel unsafe and the front door street is dirty. Always have people smoking. Noisy during the night. Parking on the stree - Feel unsafe and the front door street is dirty.
Always have people smoking. Noisy during the night.
Parking on the street is very busy and tight and narrow.
My car already had a big scratched on the first night.
- Pamela (2/5): Very poor - Ok at first impression of the house inside. The garden was quite nice. We thought the property was quite nice at first impression. We enjoyed sitting in the living room watching a film , although there was a discarded plastic bottle stuffed under the tv table .
The road outside was a bit intimidating with youths loitering and taking drugs outside the property, as well as joy riders speeding up and down the narrow streets . The next door neighbours (number 24) were very noisy late at night which was unpleasant. ( I know there isn’t anything you can do about that , I’m just letting you know )
In the back bedroom the duvet cover was nothing short of appalling with stains that looked like blood or Feces!! This was really offensive and not an acceptable way to welcome guests who are expected to sleep on that. One of the pillows had blood or feces on it as well.
The kitchen again at first impression was attractive and tidy. We went to heat some food up in the microwave and were horrified to discover that it had not been cleaned and was in a disgusting state. I wanted to use the grill and I found yet again it to be filthy dirty!!
We were unable to use the dishwasher as it wouldn’t switch on.
There was no curtains on the bathroom window denying our privacy and wellbeing. One of taps were damaged.
Some of The bedroom doors wouldn’t shut as they badly damaged and the front door was difficult to lock properly at the bottom. In one room the radiator was faulty.

- Nahm (4/5): Disappointing -
- Jack (10/5): Exceptional -
- Matt (8/5): Lovely home and great host. - Lovely home, which is very comfortable throughout. The host was very responsive and helpful, even turning the hearing up remotely when asked. The bedding and towels were as good as any hotel I’ve stayed in! The house is missing a couple of minor items, e.g. a chopping board, otherwise it has everything!
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Muwaffak (8/5): Very good -
- Tina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dan (8/5): Nice place, good value. - Charming period property with plenty of character. Taxi ride into town.
- Asg (8/5): very good experience 👌 👏 - same as pictures, fairly clean, helpful owner ,ok location...beautifully decorated, feels like home. steep roads ,I didn't have any idea 😄before ...If my husband was not experienced then there would have been problems ...
nothing else to say ,everything was good ...
- Kyra (10/5): Exceptional - Had an absolutely lovely stay at this property. The property was clean and spacious. The place had a cosy home feeling. The rooms were comfortable and warm, the bathroom was clean. The house was provided with blow heaters as well. It was located a 10 minuet drive from the shopping centre (which was amazing).
The neighbours were friendly. We stayed away for my aunties birthday, we travelled from London. We had a great time & I asked the owner to add something special for my aunty. He went above & beyond by providing a bottle of Prosecco and a card. Thanks for having us, we will be back.
- Ariane (5/5): Not a great stay - The house is furnished nicely and the bathroom was very clean and well stocked. Petar was kind enough to help us with the heating, and it can get warm upstairs. The beds are comfy and clean and bedrooms are big. TV works great The rest of the house could be a little cleaner and better maintained. The cutting board in the kitchen had mould on it. There were broken door handles, a broken door, stains on the carpet. The garden was one of the main reasons I booked this place but it was unkempt. It was overgrown with weeds, hadn't been tidied as there was litter around, and the bins were already full when we got there with pizza boxes and unfortunately the BBQ was not usable at all which was a shame as we came ready for one. Not very dog or child friendly with the steep steps to top floor. No network in some parts of the house, had to go outside to make calls.
However the one of the main reasons I couldn't enjoy this stay was it didn't feel safe, unfortunately the street is a little run down, there are people loitering outside during the night, our car alarm went off twice in the night and you can hear the neighbours through the walls, so it wasnt a restful sleep, but these are things that cannot be changed, just to be wary of if you are staying with your family.
- Kirsty (6/5): It was ok - Spacious house with nicely furnished bedrooms, pleasant kitchen and comfy lounge. Host Petar was responsive and helpful when we contacted him. Garden not usable which was a shame as it woukd have been nice to sit outside on sunny days. This is a terraced house and we experienced disturbance from next door on one of the evenings but luckily the other nights were quiet.
- Kai (9/5): Totally is a very excellent experience for us all. Thank you very much to the host. - Nice, comfortable and nearby town centre. Extra bonuses for dish washer and washing machine. Just need some DIY on garden and patio set for guests to enjoy.
- Emma (8/5): Very good -
- Debbie (3/5): Nice house! Wrong location! - The property itself is old but well
Maintained. Clean enough and decoration okay. Good WiFi and streaming tv. Spacious throughout and beds very comfortable. The company involved was extremely courteous and apologetic because when we arrived the house had not been cleaned, dirty bedding and towels, dirty bathroom, rubbish in the bins …. The cleaner had failed to show up so the manager of the property came immediately whilst we went out for them to rectify. We were also refunded the first night stay which is very decent of the owner. This first thing you notice on arriving at the property is how narrow the road is. The house on the outside needs a bit of decoration and cleaning up but it’s one of the nicer properties in the street. The location of this property is horrendous. Drug deals going on openly in the street and outside the lounge window. Dirt and litter everywhere. Surrounding properties impoverished. Next door neighbour used our garden, line and bin(suggest putting a lock on the gate.) The children played football continuously against the garden fence damaging it in several areas. The BBQ located in the garden is just used as an ashtray which is filled with and surround by cigarette stubs( this is a pet friendly property and cigarettes are toxic to dogs). The garden is overrun with grass and weeds so we were unable to use it. Unable to open windows at the front of the property due to the very strong smell of cannabis which everyone smokes openly. The bedrooms and house gets extremely hot on the upper levels(which there are two)so a fan in each of the three bedrooms would be beneficial. The stairs are very steep and on the upper level there is no handrail which resulted in my grandson falling down the stairs. The shower needs replacing as the flow is very poor and the position of the shower head needs to be altered as it’s too low down which is difficult to use if you’re over 5’. The fridge/ freezer is very small and requires updating to a reasonable size one as we struggled and was only there 4 nights. Only two drinking glasses in the kitchen so we had to buy disposable ones. A worktop saver is required as I was unable to use the counter to cut anything so had to resort to using an oven tray. The property hadn’t been cleaned when we arrived after a very long journey so we had to leave whilst an emergency clean was undertaken but everything was rectified.
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely delighted, stunning property spotless comfortable, go back in a heartbeat Located a little bit from city centre, but not a massive issu
- Joanna (10/5): Exceptional - Nice clean place to stay in 🙃 None
- Emma (9/5): Spacious, well equipped property with beautiful furnishings - Beautifully furnished and well equipped. We liked it! Would stay again if in the area. Could have done with some guide books to the area in the property.
- David (7/5): Good - Very clean and comfortable
- Liam (8/5): Lovely house not too far outside of the City - Size of the property was very good and done to a good standard. Everything required is within the house to make the stay as pleasant as possible. On street parking was ideal as it meant loading and unloading luggage was as easy as it could be. My mother feels the cold easily and not being able to control the heating made this more challenging to overcome. Neighbours next door were noisy enough that I could hear their alarms and conversations through the walls.
- Sachin (9/5): Superb -
- Helen (10/5): Very nice stay in a lovely house. Great host too. - Lovely rooms, decor & furniture. House was really warm and beds were comfy A couple more glasses, plates etc would be nice.
- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional - The house is beautifully decorated and well equipped for a short stay. The steepness of the stairs!
- Katharina (7/5): Very nice house in a rough area - Lovely house:
- large
- beautifully decorated and well kept
- well equipped kitchen (condiments)
- excellent host, great communication - The area felt unsafe. We arrived in the evening and there were several small groups of young men lingering in the street. There was not a single woman to be seen. There was rubbish in the street. It wasn't much better during the day.
- Some of the beds were quite hard and the double beds were narrow.
- Downstairs was cold, upstairs was warm though.
- Elizabeth (8/5): Perfect for what we needed. - Nice property, clean and responsive host. Nothing
- George-cristian (10/5): Exceptional - We had everything that we need, great. Nothinf
- Tofunmi (9/5): Superb -
- Tia (8/5): Good stay, good location, would stay again - I liked the location, the beds were comfy and the house had everything we needed. It was in a good location and had parking out front. I would stay here again. There wasn't really anything about the property I didn't like. Everything was up to standard. The only thing I would say was my friend left some cash on the side before we left, it was definitely there but on asking the owner if it was they said it wasn't.
- Nicola (10/5): Ideal location for our visit to Sheffield - Spacious fresh & clean
- Susan (8/5): Had a great stay would book again - Loved the location and the facilities Bit cold
- Denise (10/5): Exceptional - Great house with everything you need. Spotlessly clean throughout. Spacious, well decorated and maintained. Very comfortable quiet nights sleep. Plenty of on street parking. Short taxi ride to town centre. Bargain price. Highly recommended Nothing
- Anonymous (9/5): Excep - Very clean and comfortable and you can park outside the property Nothing
- Peter (10/5): A lovely modern home from home keeping in character with its past roots(it's Sheffield) - A lovely decorated home from home. Comfortable warm and clean with everything we needed for cooking and relaxing.Wonderful coving around the sitting room and the bedrooms are stylish and comfortable. So too the bathroom. We visited our son at Sheffield university and was ideal for an overnight stay. An Uber was £10.00 to the city centre. We visited on bonfire night so it was a bit noisy into the night but it was done in good spirits. Overall a fantastic stay. The host was a telephone call away and was very helpful with our requests(none of us knew how to work an induction hob to our shame). Simply it was an ideal stay in a modern and characterful home. No tea towels to dry up 😀
