• Tony (10/5): An easy stay with everything you need - The location. So close to the CBD (5–10-minute drive) with a nice country experience of peace and quiet. The cabin is modern and fresh with lovely gardens and outlook onto the adjacent bush over the creek. We enjoyed cooking as BBQ dinner and dining out on the deck.

• Luke (10/5): Our stay at this place was calm, quiet, and relaxing! - Sarah our host was such a friendly welcoming person, we thoroughly our stay. The kitchen has a cooker top and microwave which was awesome! She also left us fresh eggs to use which was so cool! The place was clean, tidy, new, the bed was so comfortable and warm! That I couldn’t stay there for a whole week ha ha.
• Justin (9/5): Serenity only a few minutes from town - Everything. The area itself is very quiet and peaceful which was exactly what I was looking for. The hosts were friendly and helpful, just a txt away when I needed anything. The cabin had everything I needed and more- including eggs from the chickens, cooking facilities (bonus air fryer), toiletries like shampoo/ conditioner/ body wash and that shower pressure was amazing! Would highly recommend this to anyone/ couple wanting to get away and relax in nature for a bit. I will be back :) na

• Watkins (10/5): Quiet, beautiful, restful. - This location is perfect for those looking for a quiet and beautiful spot. I happened to be sick when I arrived, but it was still a lovely place to settle into. The room is cozy, and was clean when I arrived. There were basic amenities which made simple cooking possible. It's a great place for those looking to get away!

I honestly loved everything about it.

• Holger (10/5): Eine Woche perfekte Erholung! - Die Lage ist einfach traumhaft. Es gibt eine Sitzgruppe direkt am Wasser des kleinen Flüsschens im Schatten. Man hört keinerlei Autolärm oder ähnliches. Alles wurde mit viel Liebe zum Detail gemacht. Auf dem Flüsschen kann man bei Hochwasser Kajak fahren, die uns die Gastgeber angeboten hatten. Nichts

Cabin was spotless and bed super comfy. Had everything we needed and the homey touches were perfect. Fresh farm eggs were great! Highly recommend. Awesome river view as well.

• Stanley (10/5): PERFECT GETAWAY - The location was perfect as we came up for a concert so was close to the stadium, close to downtown. Nice and peaceful, very clean, bed was comfortable. The complimentary plums were delicious. Everything we needed was there and the hosts were lovely and easy to get into contact with. The fact it was only for 2 nights, we didnt want to leave.

• Margaret (9/5): Little Gem in the country - The beautiful quiet rural location yet only 10min to middle of town. Fully functioning kitchenette with quality crockery and cutlery. Provided with half a dozen fresh eggs from the property, large deck with table and chairs to eat outside and large umbrella. Waking up to the lovely birdsong. Very accommodating friendly hosts whose house was unseen from the lodge, so very private with a bush and tidal river view from deck. We will return when we have 5 days in Whangarei in March next year. Bedding, pillows and cushions very comfortable and abundant. Herbs available in pot and newly planted gardens, with a parking area right behind the lodge. We were their first guests, and definately recommend their property as a great addition to the Booking.com site. Although I found the queen bed comfortable, my husband found it a little firm, however this would not stop us from rebooking. Adding a memory foam topper may add to the comfort. We had 2 very hot days, so a ceiling fan ( wouldnt intrude on the floor space) would add to comfort, (in any case the lovely host pre-empted, supplied and turned on a standing fan while we were out, returning to a nice cool room. Thank you. As well window screens would be great so they can be fully open in the evening to keep out bugs. We mention these only as positive options in the future, which they may have already planned for going forward. JUST FOR BOOKING.COM - The booking site said there were 2 full beds, which as an experienced user of the site means double beds. That was one of the reasons we booked this property as we both like space and usually only book king beds, but 2x double were acceptable to us. This info was incorrect and misrepresented the property, which the hosts were unaware of. (Not the first time we have experienced this with Booking.com in our otherwise, happy relationship with the site). As it turned out the queen bed was quite acceptable and the other facilities and factors more than made up for this error (not the hosts responsibility or to their knowledge)
