- Kirsten (10/5): Nicest place I’ve ever booked. - I loved everything. The artwork was beautiful, it was comfortable, and they had everything I needed for a wonderful stay.
- Brian (10/5): - Very comfortable, with all the facilities you could possibly want. Host was so friend and helpful we couldn't imagine better. We loved our short stay and sorry to leave so our next stop. Everything was excellent. Cannot recommend more highly,
- Anthony (9/5): A lovely, comfortable and well-appointed place to stay. - Walnut Cottage was ideal for us. It's smart, comfortable and well-appointed. We were walking the South West Coastal Path and arrived very wet - so were thankful for the drying facilities, as well as the comfortable beds and spacious facilities. Nothing - it was perfect
- John (9/5): -
- Sarah (10/5): Just a one night stay in beautiful house in beautiful part of the country - Beautiful well equipped house, lots of space for just 2 of us. Great to have welcome essentials left for us when we arrived after a long days walking though handily located near the Co-op. Fridge was a bit noisy.
- Andrew (10/5): - All great
- Ann-Marie (10/5): Excellent communication, very helpful host, great location. - Excellent communication, very helpful host, great location.

- Sally (10/5): Lovely place to stay - Lovely cottage, easy to find. We had a lovely stay. We didn’t venture far on foot as it was a bit hilly for my mum but this was expected and we were here visiting relatives. The cottage has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Would recommend and hopefully I will come back with friends to explore the area.
- Jo (10/5): Lovely place to stay with absolutely everything we needed. Very helpful, communicative host. - Very well-equipped cottage with everything we needed and lovely touches like some shortbread, milk and tea left so we could enjoy a cup of tea as soon as we arrived. Karen, our host, was very helpful and communicative.
- David (10/5): -
- john (10/5): Would certainly come again - This is a very nice house.
There is plenty of room which would suit a family or group. There is nothing not to like !
Only thing to be careful is that google maps confuses with similar or same name which is further north.
- Clarebella (10/5): - It is a pretty house, with plenty of room, a lovely garden and is very nicely appointed throughout. The bed was very comfy and the shower is powerful - just the way I like it! The kitchen had everything you could think of and the views out of the hallway/dining area were beautiful. Karen was very friendly and helpful. In fact, we had been staying somewhere else and the boiler had broken down and we needed somewhere else to stay. Despite being a very last minute booking, Karen welcomed us warmly, got the heating on before we arrived and left out a welcome gift of wine, tea, coffee and cookies. We couldn't have asked for a lovelier and kinder welcome 🥰 It was all perfect 👌
- Edward (10/5): Fantastic - Loads of space, clean and comfortable

- Katherine (10/5): - Beautiful cottage. Really clear instructions for check in and then a lovely suprise to be greeted by Karen after we'd got settled in who was so friendly and gave us lots of information about the local area. The house is clearly loved and well cared for and is clean,. comfortable and stylish. Particularly enjoyed the choice of outdoor seating areas. Nothing
- John (10/5): - A real find & great cottage. Everything you could want is here & great communication with the hosts. Very comfortable & with views over Newton Ferrers make it a great place to stay.
- Panagiotis (10/5): - I really enjoyed my stay at Karen and Daryl’s cottage. They were exceptional hosts and made the experience very pleasant. Communication was excellent, with clear instructions and thoughtful suggestions for exploring the local area.
The house itself is amazing and very cozy. I just wish we had few more days to enjoy it further, would happily go back during the summer season.

Karen, the owner is kind and friendly. It’s a short walk to the supermarket, cafe and pub.

- Elizabeth (9/5): Very enjoyable and relaxing. - The location was great - wonderful views, and close to the pub and the shop. The accommodation was very clean and full of light, with everything you needed to hand. I particularly enjoyed the choice of books available. There are a lot of stairs and steps, so a family with small children might find it a challenge to keep an eye on little ones.
- Traveller (10/5): Rundherum gelungen - Top 😀 - Really nice and clean house an top service by arrival and also thanks to Karen to give us a lift with her car back from the excellent restaurant Ship Inn after dinner. Exceptional. We only stayed one night. Environment is really pretty with the both villages Noss Mayo and Newton Ferrers to spend a few days more.
- Robin (9/5): Lovely stay in a beautiful town. We felt welcomed and well taken care of. - Loved the property and the garden. The host was very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the available tea and coffee and were very comfortable during our stay. No sun in the garden in the morning. Couple minutes of ascending from center of Newton Ferrer.

Best nights sleep on our swcp walk ever , hosts are on the ball with this one, 5 stars all round.. Nothing
- Tracey (10/5): The most beautiful cottage! - Absolutely beautiful cottage!! The pictures don’t do it justice. We could happily live here! It was easy to check in, was spotlessly clean, large spacious rooms, very thoughtful hosts, fully equipped kitchen, comfy lounge, beautiful views from the patio, the most powerful shower we’ve ever experienced! We were sad to leave and wish we could have stayed longer! Nothing- it’s perfect!!!
- Daisy (9/5): Wonderful stay - thank you! - Karen, the host, was really friendly and helpful. The cottage exceeded expectations - it's really spacious! It's a 20 minute walk from the best pubs for food, although at low tide probably more like 10 mins. Would recommend!
- Ian (10/5): Staying there on a stop walking the south West Coast path excellent facilities, location and atmosphere - This is in an excellent location-other reviews have mentioned it being not on the coastal path, but that is easily dealt with either a ferry or using the voss. For two people staying for one night, this was heaven with a very large cottage. This was excellent value for money and the instructions from Karen were easy having left behind something. Karen contacted me and dropped it off at our next destination which is going above and beyond expectations. Nothing at all
- Tc111 (10/5): Perfection in a holiday home - Superb holiday home, spacious, clean, beautifully decorated and equipped.
Exceeded very high expectations.
Karen was extremely welcoming and helpful.
Hoping to return Nothing
- Felice (10/5): Exceptional - Everything! This lovely cottage is in a gorgeous location and has everything you could possibly need. The host was very helpful! Nothing!
- Alison (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chris (9/5): Great property, thoughtful hosts and lovely location. - Lovely property, spotless rooms and well equipped. Plenty of space in the lounge to share time together. Great views of the locality from the balcony. We loved the time we had here and would book again. There are some steps to get to the property and stairs to navigate the lower bedrooms so people with more limited mobility might have a bit of a challenge. One main double bedroom is accessed with just a couple of small steps up from the lounge so that should be OK for most people and considerably better than having to navigate a full flight of stairs.
- Rachel (10/5): Beautiful home. Everything we needed. - Stayed for one night while walking the South west coast path. Beautiful home. Very clean and had all the facilities we needed. Karen was very welcoming. Easily reached from the path at low tide in the afternoon, but a 2 mile walk around to get back to the path in the morning. However, we were aware of it and prepared for the extra walk, which was pleasant.
- Hilary (10/5): A super place to stay and handy for local shops and restaurants. - The place was just fantastic, spacious, beautifully turned out and the host was very helpful with lots of local knowledge. I really can’t think of anything.
- Mick (9/5): Superb -
- Gerry (9/5): Superb - Very roomy and comfortable property, which was spotlessly clean.
Although we did not take it up, so the Owner kindly offered us a lift to help us wit timings on our walk involving catching a river ferry. There was also milk.tea and coffee available on our arrival. Only mnor thing was I couldn't get the coffee maker to work. so had to use instant coffee
- Sharon (10/5): Excellent, a lovely stay that was too short! - So much space! And a host who went above and beyond to offer us a lift back to the SWCP.
- Patricia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mrs (10/5): Exceptional - The owner was charming and most helpful. The beds were very comfortable and the location is very quiet and peaceful. Nothing
- Philip (10/5): Lovely to stay somewhere so comfortable where you are treated like it’s your own home. - Walnut Cottage is absolutely stunning, in a lovely village and a very convenient location. It’s in perfect order and has all the facilities you could want. Karen was a very welcoming host. My only regret was not staying longer but I have the SWCP to walk. Nothing.
- Christine (10/5): Beautiful comfortable house with great view. - Beautiful house, spacious, light, immaculate. Wonderful view across to Noss Mayo from the dining room and the verandah. Interesting art work on all the walls - it was like being in an art gallery. Large fully equipped kitchen, two bathrooms, good shower, cosy heating. Small pretty gardens both front and back. All was good.
- Sara (10/5): Superb - Fantastic property, every home comfort you could want and more. Lovely views would love to return in better weather to enjoy the outside space. Nothing
- Ian (9/5): Superb -

- Emily (8/5): Beautiful place abd property, in a quiet location that is easily accessible. clean and tidy property, with parking too. - The layout of the property made it light and open yet felt cosy at the same time.
Self check in is perfect. The little touches of biscuits are much appreciated. I can’t say much but I would have to be honest about the main bedroom mattress was very very firm and unfortunately not very comfortable for our sleep.
The curtains in the lounge could be thicker to illuminate glare directly on the tv.
- Adele (10/5): Exceptional - Fabulous place in a perfect setting for exploring Newton Ferrers and Noss Mayo. Nothing! It was fabulous!
