- Cherine (10/5): What an amazing experience - What a magnificent property, upon arrival we drove up a winding drive way to the top of the hill and parked in the open shed space that was waiting for us.
We were absolutely mesmerised by the incredible view and spectacular house that the Gourgeous Apartment was attached too.
We were delighted to be welcomed by Grant whom was full of stories and very knowledgeable about not only Angaston but the Barossa Valley.
The Apartment was so gorgeous, very modern and immaculate with an amazing feeling of grace charm and serenity.
The bed was so very comfortable and there were so many little surprises around for us to enjoy including a beautiful bottle of wine.
You could spend many days relaxing in the apartment with books, magazines, games not to mention the beautiful pool.
We would highly recommended staying at the Angaston Lodge for anyone that is looking for a relaxing amazing experience. Nothing

All the comforts of home have been thought of and are available in this amazing accommodation. The views were wonderful too. Hosts were fantastic and offered lots of great ideas of where to visit.
- Scott (10/5): Del - Every thing. This place was amazing. Pillows were a bit hard.
- Paola (10/5): Home away from home - Everything. It was very comfy, clean and spacious. Wonderful view of the surrounding valleys. Very quiet and if not for the strong winds, would have been nice to sit outside but we enjoyed the warmth of the fireplace.
Any questions have been answered efficiently and quickly. Nothing
- Stephanie (10/5): This property must be the best place to stay to explore the Barossa and Clare Valleys. - Superb accommodation and it was lovely to be greeted by the host who explained all that we needed to know about the property. We found that we had everything we needed to be comfortable for a 2 night stay at the property and the fridge was stocked with a great selection for breakfast and snacks. We appreciated a bottle of the local Shiraz - very good and a nice touch. It was cold in the evenings and the fireplace was wonderful with a great wood supply provided. The efficient burner made the apartment so warm and toasty that we stayed in for the evenings. We would recommend this property to all those who wish to explore the area. Nothing - in fact, we wished we could have stayed a few more days.
- Edwin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alison (9/5): Superb -
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -

Angaston Lodge and hosts, Tony and Grant, are synonymous with excellence right down to the finest details. One of the best experiences we have had while travelling abroad. There are no negatives about our stay or the accommodation. It was outstanding!
- Sally (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic accommodation. The host was lovely and gave us local recommendations. The breakfast food left was delicious and plentiful - there were eggs, bacon, sausages, sourdough, yoghurt, fruit and museli, as well as great tea and coffee and snacks. Beautiful location. - Brett (10/5): We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Angaston Lodge and hope to return sometime in the future. - Angaston Lodge is in a wonderful location with exceptional facilities. Everything was provided for a most comfortable stay, from the breakfast provisions, linen, pool and kitchen facilities. Grant and Tony are wonderful hosts and gave us some great advice on places to visit during our stay in the Barossa.
- Vicky (10/5): Blissful and peaceful stay in a gem of the Barossa. Highly recommend - Beautiful views of the Barossa, amazing sunsets, very comfortable apartment with lovely pool for hot summer days. Grant and Tony had considered all the lovely thoughtful touches you need and more.
- Kym (10/5): So comfortable & welcoming. Little touches that add to the experience. Is now our ‘go-to’ when visiting the Barossa. - Very welcoming, little extra touches like fresh flowers, breakfast provisions, robes & slippers - a bottle of wine & nibbles. The bathroom could do with an extra scrub 😉
- Wolfgang (10/5): Exceptional - Angaston Lodge is the best option for Barossa if you prefer a quiet location in walking distance of a nice town with friendly people. Grant gave us a good insight view of interesting places and we discovered some more (Krondorf, Steingarten....). The lodge is just great, in German we would call it "über-drüber"! Not to forget the pool! And the architecture! And..... ??
- Carl (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional - A very generous breakfast was supplied enough fir two days .. the hosts were amazing .. view to die for of the Barossa - a swim, a glass of wine and watching the sunset - what more can a girl want ! There is nothing I didn’t like about this property .
- Jaxon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (9/5): Excellent place to stay, very private, and well appointed. - Worked really well for me. All the little things were done very well. Nothing
- Ann (10/5): Very pleasant and relaxing. - Breakfast was alright, not exceptional. The host however went to the trouble of getting us a bottle of white wine instead of the red they usually provide. The apartment itself was large and comfortable.
- Susan (10/5): A perfect base for a visit to the beautiful Barossa Valley. - The warm and knowledgable hosts of Angaston lodge thought of everything - abundant breakfast supplies, comfy bed and Cosy fire.
And the location was perfect overlooking the valley and within minutes of Angaston village. Nothing
- Neal (10/5): Exceptional -
- Trudy (9/5): Perfectly located on a hill overlooking the Barossa valley, with a wide view of spectacular sunsets. - Everything! The guys have thought of everything for a pleasant stay at their house. They even went above and beyond to supply food for my food intolerances.
- Tammy (10/5): Very relaxing - Very quiet and comfortable property and very close to all amentities.
- Mark (9/5): Superb -
- Elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely everything! Angaston Lodge is superb, it's beautiful, spacious with everything you could possibly need. So many thoughtful extras too.
Grant and Tony are wonderful hosts and we look forward to returning 😊 We had to leave
- Tricia (10/5): We would stay here again anytime. The value is in the attention to detail and beautiful surroundings - We loved the view, the attention to detail and the spacious living area and bedroom. The complimentary bottle of wine was also a great touch as were the breakfast provisions. The fire place topped it all off perfectly! We loved it all!
- Kate (9/5): Fantastic!!! - Loved the location and the fact that every little detail and possible requirement was already thought of and supplied.
- Carey (9/5): Comfort meets Elegance- all you need for a comfortable stay can’t wait to return. - The location on hill was amazing we loved the views. We loved the fireplace as well as the mod cons like coffee machine, dishwasher etc. Super comfy bed with top quality linen. Generous provisions with all we needed - they thought of everything!!
- Cassandra (10/5): Would recommend to anyone looking for a luxurious, private getaway. - Breakfast provisions, complimentary wine and nibbles were the icing on the cake. Nothing
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional - welcoming arrival, stylish well-appointed rooms with everything necessary for a very pleasant stay,
great breakfast provisions,
Excellent heating including great wood closed fire. The weather when we were there.
- Cam (10/5): a wonderful weekend getaway with great hosts - comfort, cleanliness, character, great linen nothing
- Dean (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location to explore Angaston and surrounding wine regions! Nothing, will be back for sure!
- Ellie1995 (10/5): It was absolutely perfect, probably the best place I've ever stayed - Literally everything. It was 100/10 beautiful.
If you stay here, make sure you walk to the town centre from the property, it's a lovely view 😍
I love the fact that breakfast provided means that the ingredients were placed in the fridge, and I could cook them when and however I wanted. That was a cool treat that I now want moving forward in all my future bookings 😅 I don't have anything negative to say!!!
- Vicky (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ellen (10/5): Absolute gem! - Everything was wonderful, and such a spacious apartment. Well stocked kitchen, great breakfast provisions. End of day ritual was a drink and lounging by the pool for the brilliant uninterrupted views of sunsets. Greatly valued recommendations from Tony and Grant
- Nancy (10/5): we were made to feel very welcome - well equiped.convenient location. everything we needed. nothing comes to mind
- Jeffrey (10/5): Exceptional - Views were great. Pool was great. Food provisions were great. Given we are not coffee drinkers it was great to have such a wide selection of teas. Nothing to do with the property, which was excellent; however, it was disappointing that I was charged an International Transaction Fee by my bank, considering I booked locally within South Australia, was invoiced in AUD and paid in AUD. Booking.com need to warn people that this may occur when they book.
- Sara (10/5): Incredibly stay with to-die-for views! - We absolutely loved our stay. The photos don't do the place justice and we were overwhelmed by the beauty of the property, both inside and out. You have your own pool with the most incredible views of the valley. Sunset here was incredible! The pool is super large and heated, and simply divine. The property itself is perfectly equipped with an amazingly comfy huge bed with excellent pillows, plush carpets and nice lighting. You have well-stocked breakfast provisions included in the price, which consist of good quality soughdough, eggs, bacon, orange juice, yoghurt, fruit, granola and porridge. We loved having breakfast and watching the views from the veranda. There were also cute snacks provided as well as a lovely bottle of red. The hosts were very accommodating and even let us have an early and late check-in - a wonderful touch and really convenient. I am fortunate to be pretty well travelled and can honestly say this is one of the best value properties I have ever stayed in. Would 100% stay again and 10/10 recommend. Honestly, the place was so delightful I am really picking at straws here and these are more possible improvements that would make the property even more amazing. It would be good to have better access to plug sockets by the beds to charge electrical appliances as they were hard to reach. An extension cable would sort this easily. The tvs are pretty old. Upgrading to smart TVs would be good for those rainy days. Lastly, the view from the pool is so incredible that it would be even nicer if the weeds directly in front of the pool were cut. Perhaps they will grow into beautiful flowers eventually (I am no gardener), but even so, they ruined the view slightly when you were in the pool itself which was a shame seeing as the view was pretty epic and a huge draw for the property (note: the weeds/plants didn't obstruct the view when out of the pool, only when in the water).
- Tennielle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Margaret (10/5): A memorable stay. Would definitely come back again. - The apartment was superb. Tony and Grant were wonderful hosts. Fabulous attention to detail. Nothing
- Luci (10/5): a perfect weekend to escape to the country. - beautiful accommodation, short drive to town centre. spacious and luxurious. well stocked with breakfast items and complimentary bottle of wine. very comfy bed. loved everything about this property. nothing, it was perfect for us.

- Karyn (10/5): Beautifully appointed and cosy accomodation, - Our hosts were marvellous. We loved the elevated location. The view was fabulous. the accomodation was very roomy and we’ll set up. We loved everything.
- Jan (10/5): Exceptional -
- B (10/5): the property and location were perfect for a restful weekend away -
- Giacominato (10/5): cannot recommend this highly enough if I could gibe it 100 I would - The Property was amazing we felt like royalty when we arrived to find this beautiful display home finish feeling about the accommodation , we were made so welcome and it had more than we needed or expected , a full fridge and loads of yummy nibbles , plus tea and coffee of many choices , we will recommend this property to anyone and everyone that we can , we felt so honoured to be able to stay in such a magnificent place . thank you to Grant and Tony Nothing
- Annette (10/5): Luxurious, tranquil Barossa get-away, close to all conveniences - The perfect get-away in a lush, pastoral setting - far enough away from the clamour of everyday living but only seconds/minutes from all conveniences, including restaurants, supermarket, bakeries, vineyards and cellar doors.
Hosts Grant and Tony could not have been more hospitable. All provisions were generously supplied and included in the tariff; from fresh breakfast items (bacon, eggs, cereals, local sourdough, milk, real butter and juice) to ground and instant coffee, a selection of teas, homemade cookies, snacks and nibbles and a complimentary bottle of red wine.
The apartment was spacious and comfortable with breath-taking views over Angaston (the nicest part of the Barossa valley in my opinion). Bed was very comfortable with luxurious linen and pillows. The ensuite is lovely and shower excellent, with a lovely rain shower head as well (nice touch). There is also a laundry with washing machine and dryer, washing liquid supplied :)
I stayed here for eight nights in September to work on a book and had everything I needed to be able to work without disruption; most thankfully the 'tranquility' - it was totally 'zen'. To be honest though, the views were somewhat of a distraction. The combustion fire was a welcome bonus, the 'icing on the cake', for which all kindling and wood is supplied.
For those who like to do a bit of reading, the bookcase is stacked with some very interesting titles - something for everyone.
I know with confidence that whenever I'm in need of a writing retreat, Angaston Lodge will deliver.
Thank you Grant and Tony for this wonderful experience, it's what I'd needed for so long! Not one thing.
- Kymmiec (10/5): Goregous location, great attention to the little details that make the stay superb. - The location was superb - beautiful views out over the valley. Breakfast provisions were very generous & there were other snack items available.
When we arrived, the fire was set up & ready to be lit, there were fresh flowers in a vase and plenty of space.
The bed was comfy & there were so many different pillows to choose from! All good
- Tracey (10/5): Stylish and comfortable, everything, and more, for a great stay. - A lovely, spacious apartment with gentle, rural views and still very close to Angaston. Beautiful, stylish decor, with lamps, soft furnishings and luxurious bedding. Nice selection of books, magazines and games. Our hosts paid attention to those little touches that made our stay special. Great heating, a welcome bottle of wine, fresh flowers, electric blankets, an array of specialty teas, fresh fruit, cookies, snacks, fire ready to light and wood handy. Generous breakfast provisions and well-stocked pantry. We loved our two nights there and felt very comfortable. Thanks, guys! Nothing...perfect.
- Paul (8/5): Very good -
