• Steve (9/5): Great location, great host, great experience! - Host was amazing and very helpful. The room is big and comfortable. The rooftop common area is a nice place to have a coffee or cigarette and do your laundry for free. Overall, a great location and a great host and a perfect place to lodge while you're in amazing George Town. In my room, there were electric outlets in every corner EXCEPT the one where the desk is located, lol. I had to move the desk to get any work done on my laptop. This is a very small issue, and it's workable, so it definitely should NOT keep you from staying here.

• TM34250 (10/5): Très bon emplacement, très bon choix pour visiter penang. - Très bon accueil avec pleins de petits conseils afin de visiter l'île de penang et la ville de georgetown et rien que çà... cela fait toute la différence. Très bon emplacement à quelques pas des lieux de visite du centre. Lit confortable et partie commune très propre. Thé, café, eau à disposition et petit bonus, rooftop avec machines à laver. Allez à sunshine house sans hésitation, même avec les chambres aveugles.

• Jens (9/5): Hinfahren !! - Nette Atmosphäre, sehr freundliche Inhaber und Mitarbeiter, tip -top sauber, schöne Dachterrasse, gut ausgestattete Küchenzeile, Kaffee und Tee umsonst, 2 Waschmaschinen zur freien Benutzung. Sehr zentral gelegen. Wir konnten am letzten Tag (obwohl wir schon ausgecheckt hatten) unser Gepäck deponieren und sogar noch einmal die Duschen benutzen. Vielen Dank! Zimmer sind schon ziemlich klein, aber die Dachterrasse macht das auf jeden Fall wieder wett.

Sono stati talmente gentili di con sentirci l'uso della lavatrice gratis e messo a disposizione le docce ed asciugamani prima di partire. Super consigliato!!

Small kitchen area with fridge & drinks dispenser is very handy as is the free use of a washing machine. Nice rooftop terrace & ground floor areas for relaxing in.

• Jimmy (9/5): - We had a great stay, the room was spacious, clean and bright. (we had two windows!) No issues with the shared bathrooms, hardly needed to wait and they were cleaned regularly. The kitchen area was very handy to refill filtered water, there was a fridge, hot water and microwave too. Great location on a quiet side street, short walking distance to the main attractions. The rooftop is a nice place to sit and the free use of the washing machine was excellent. We would stay here again.
• Julian (10/5): Comfortable stay in the heart of Georgetown. - The hostel is well-located, a 10 minute walk from the ferry and close to bus stops and most of the main sights. Although rooms are small & mostly windowless, the beds are very comfortable, the rooms quiet & the AC works well. I slept very well. Bathrooms are clean & have good showers. The small kitchen has a fridge, microwave & a water dispenser. There is an upstairs terrace with free use of washing machines. Both the owner & cleaner are friendly & approachable and will help sort out any problems you may have. I will be returning. Highly recommended.

• Sway Peng (8/5): A good sleep I had which I treasured most in a hotel room - Is a comfortable stay. I booked the room with attached toilet and was glad to have a comfortable stay. Sunshine House is away from the main road and ensure quietness. Although the basin was leaking in the toilet, it was repaired almost immediately after feedback. The only thing that I hope can be improved is to provide a kettle in the room. I can therefore boil my beverage anytime instead of going to the pantry climbing the steps up and down. Feeling rather uncomfortable to hold hot liquid in my hand while climbing up the steps. It spilled and scalded my hand while doing so. Feel bad to wet the floor as well. No kettle in the room to make hot beverages.

In the kitchen there is also water filtering dispenser. The girl who was working there during out stay is very nice and helpful.

• Debalina (10/5): Best in One Word - Tucked in a quiet alley by the Temple of Goddess of Mercy, this is the best guesthouse to stay in and explore George Town, Penang Everything is in walking distance from the guest house. • Neil Owen (10/5): Sunshine 🌞 House is sooo nice - One of the best places I have ever stayed in Southeast Asia in 17 years of traveling here. The owner Eugene and staff are all superb, accommodating, and very friendly. Sela the housekeeping manager is a 💯 sweetheart. Clean, quiet and close to everything you want to see in George Town. Super comfy beds and a quiet, secure and safe space. Free laundry on the rooftop patio. Small kitchenette area and fridge for food on the second floor. Free coffee, tea and drinking water. Clean, working showers. I really can't say enough good things about this guesthouse. It has made me feel like family, and my time in Penang 💯 awesome. You will not be disappointed staying here. Maybe a small table for a laptop in the room would be nice, but space is somewhat limited in the rooms and they do their best to utilize what they have. Can't control other guests, some are more noisy than others. Stairs going upstairs might be a bit difficult for older mobility challenged people, so staying on the ground floor would be best. The pros far out weigh any small quirks of the house.

Terrazza carina e lavatrice (con detersivo) a disposizione di tutti gli ospiti. Host (su whatsapp) molto reattivo. Il bagno, lo scarico non funziona bene, evitate di sovraccaricarlo. L’host presente in struttura non conosce l’inglese, quindi è stato molto difficile comunicare.

L'alloggio è modesto ma c'è anche una cucina comune dove potersi fare the è caffè ,e prendere l'acqua filtrata !(Ottimo per riempirsi le borracce .). Alla fine l'alloggio è molto semplice ma per una /due notti va benissimo Niente

Tiene una terraza en la azotea agradable y posibilidad de lavar la ropa o tomar café/té sin coste adicional. Habitación muy pequeña. No había espacio para dejar las cosas. Sábanas manchadas. El baño muy pequeño, al ducharse mojabas absolutamente todo.
