Guest Reviews
- Nogueira (2/5): False Advertising and not enough room to tell you about it all. - Pt. 2. the shower backs up so you are standing in your dirty water the entire shower. The inside fireplace doesn't work. There is no games room but a single bookshelf with a few games, there is no view from the balcony/terrace as there is only trees and houses not "lake views" This accommodation was certainly not "recently renovated" There was no TV in the unit however the "welcome guide" left on the table for us requests that we ensure to turn the TV off. Not sure where the lush garden or tennis court were located. The only barbecue was located on the property owners deck right outside their wide open patio doors where you would be monitored the entire time...same goes for the fire pit.
Although rereading the posting while we were there made us laugh it was not what was sold to us. The worst is the double doors separating the owners home from the rented space, and the knocking... While packing up and washing our dishes to ensure we left the unit in a decent manner the homeowner was knocking at the door. Come to find out, check out time is at 10:00??? In what universe is check out 10 am? I would never stay here again despite my love for the area this was a most disappointing stay.
To the traveler who said the bed was comfortable... WHEN? in the 1980's? There was an allotted one pillow per person, the pillows were dollarama quality, no spare blankets or pillows in either closet to make a bed on the couch that was ripped/worn up the back.
Stay somewhere else, this is not what you are envisioning while reading their lies. Pt 1. Right from time of arrival the location of the lock box was confusing. Instructions were given "the lock box across from the yellow door" The yellow door which was prevalent was across from the host's main house. I attempted to call the owner on the phone provided with no luck. The host's partner was watching me standing in the yard looking around and confused until I noticed him and waived. He came out and pointed me in the direction of the yellow door which had been hidden by a white screen door. The lock box got stuck and he had to come help me open it. Stuck to the point when I left I couldn't open it to put the key back in. This was the start to the weekend.
The kitchen/kitchenette that was boasted about in the ad was very underwhelming. There was no stove and the "stovetop" was a single induction hot plate which the pan that was left in the cupboard for our use did not work on. When attempting to make breakfast figuring this out was poor timing to say the least. Again attempted to call the host at their number provided here... no answer again. I sent the host a message asking how they expected us to make bacon, eggs and pancakes in a pot. It was not until we had left to go to canadian tire to purchase a full griddle (1 hour of our time, and near $100), returned and cooked breakfast that there was a knock at the double doors between our rented unit and their home. They opened the doors right into our space and handed us a pan that ought to work on the hot plate. *If you like to have a large coffee bring your own coffee cup, the provided mugs were literally 2 sips deep.*
"Private bathroom" is indeed private, the only available bathroom is located inside the "master" bedroom as the ensuite. If the person/people sleeping in this bedroom are light sleepers and the other guests need to use the washroom in the middle of the night they are going to hear every sound.
- robert (7/5): Not bad at all, good price - Nice big Space in the Living Room Small bathroom and Szober, only 1 bathroom
- Scott (10/5): - Great location
- Sheny (5/5): You have to walk 10min to get to beach area and there is no shorcut - The beds and the pillows were comfortable There was only one washroom that is located inside the master bedroom. It would be better if it was on common area and not inside a bedroom
- Arina (8/5): Very good - The place was clean & and the beds were comfortable. A single washroom in one of the bedrooms.
- Danielle (9/5): Wish we were there for a longer time. A couple more nights would have been great. - Close to an amazing beach.
Open and airy. Very clean. The two steps from the driveway need to be leveled. Especially when carrying things into the home.
- Olha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Prafulchandra (7/5): A peaceful and memorable family retreat in a charming cottage near a beautiful private beach. - We had a wonderful family getaway at this charming cottage. The location is fantastic, with a private beach just a short 6-minute walk away—the peaceful and quiet surroundings made for a relaxing stay. We appreciated the thoughtful amenities, including books, puzzles, cutlery, and a microwave, which added to our comfort.
We're optimistic that this lovely cottage will be even better in the future with a few improvements. Overall, it was a memorable and enjoyable experience for our family. While the room didn't have a television or cooking range, and there was only one small washroom in the master bedroom, which was inconvenient and always had to keep the bedroom door open,
- Christian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sheila (7/5): Listed on booking as full house. It was part of a house. Was comfortable and clean and good value. - Good location. Good price. Comfortable. No. T.V. no stove. No spatula or sharp knife. No beach access.
