• Matthew (10/5): Highly Recommended - Accommodation was suitable for our needs and was very roomy even for a party of seven. The views were sensational. The pub next door is very cosy, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. It is definitely recommended if you need a detox from everyday life and it is a great place to unwind. Would highly recommend. Nothing much bad to say about here really, maybe that the nearest supermarket is a 25 minute drive away, that being the co-op, but that's not really their fault.

• Rebecca (10/5): - Exceeded our expectations! We were so happy with the lodge, plenty of space and the kitchen waswell equipped. The beds were comfy, and the place was lovely and cosy. Fabulous location in the Eskdale valley, and we love the woolpack pub next door. Super friendly staff who were very helpful.

• J (8/5): a spacious hut can accommodate 2 families - I like there were sufficient kitchen tools, beds and bathrooms for 2 families The surface of the large wooden dining table was quite sticky.

Also this lodge had ample space and storage The beds were a bit small in the double bedrooms, we experienced a few issues here with leaks in the roof, the bathroom floor had collapsed in places and the cooker took ages to cook the food. Also the chairs in the dinning room were very weak and had to have these fixed while staying in the lodge over Christmas

• Hafsah (9/5): Superb - the place was great. great view. the lodge was perfect for our family of 7 some furniture and fixtures were old especially the carpet. a little spruce up would be good.

• Tomdje (8/5): Quiet break away - Perfect space for a family break away. Pub next door is great for food and drink. Ideal for a lazy couple of days away or long walks if that's your thing. Staff are friendly. Lodge has everything you would really need. Would definitely come back. Could do with a deep clean, plenty of old spider webs and dust above head height, and the shower tray didn't drain. A few random late night noises from the pub next door, bottle bins being emptied and something that sounded like an air conditioning vent etc. Not much of a problem but if I was being picky...

• Paul (10/5): Exceptional - Superb location, Nice pub nearby, When we reached,the lodge was already heated and comfortable, Lot of space for relaxing and enjoy a morning coffee and breakfast. Driving to reach this location from Widermere was little bit difficult with steep hills and narrow roads. But thats expected in Lake district.;)

• Julie (10/5): Family stay at Holmrook - The Lodge was very clean, beds were comfortable, the staff were polite and very knowledgeable of the area. Beautiful walks around the area. Pub and cafe right next door. Very tasty meals. Enjoyed every minute of our stay. I cannot find a fault.

• Murtaza (7/5): Good but should’ve have been better for price we paid. - Quiet, peaceful location. One shower wasn’t working properly. Generally a bit tired in places with broken latches/door locks. Kitchen utensils very sparse, especially range of pans. Little thought for next guest in terms of small touches like sponges in kitchen etc. everything in that regard sparse.

• Tania (8/5): Beautiful location for short stay in west Lake istrict. - Wonderful off the beaten track location with a pub right on the doorstep. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the lodge was kitted with everything we needed for a short break with our dog in tow. Was generally happy with this stay over.
