• Magdalena (1/5): - Unfortunately we owner was in Kandy when we arrived. He told us his dad was in the hospital which I feel sorry about. If only we knew earlier it would be no problem. But we ended up at night standing on the street with 5 kids. The owner organized another place for us, but it was a guesthouse, with no table and no place to give some food to our kids. Also the owners of the guesthouse were very suspicious and the only thing I dreamt about was to leave Gampola.

The house and garden was beautiful and it instantly felt like “home”. Close to town but off all the noisy roads. The rooms were good and had everything we needed, one with an ac. In the morning she came and made breakfast for us! We had forgot a bag 3h away with tuktuk, and they helped us with a driver who picked it up for us in just a few hours! This saved a whole day traveling for us and was more than we could ask for! Thank you! ❤️ We loved everything!

From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the warm hospitality of the hostess and her husband – they truly made us feel right at home. The villa itself is beautifully and uniquely designed, with every corner offering a touch of charm. The atmosphere was peaceful and inviting, making it the perfect getaway. It’s hands down the best place we’ve stayed so far, and we will definitely visit again. Highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing stay!
• Kaja (10/5): Exceptional - It was one of my best stays in Sri Lanka! The host is extremely nice, friendly and thoughtful! I got sunstroke before I arrived and there was even a thermometer in the villa! The host has a lovely smile and is a great cook - I had one of the best sambols in Sri Lanka over there! I even got a present from the host cause she makes some art you can see in the villa which btw was beautiful and spotlessly clean. Everything worked properly. You get a western standard for the Sri Lankan price.

• Matthias (2/5): Local temple prayer wakes you up at 4AM - Kredit da was great and super friendly At 4 AM, we were woken up by a Buddhist prayer, screamed at us from the local temple via loudspeaker. It is impossible to sleep there, even though I was wearing earplugs. This supposedly happens every day and ruins your stay completely (unless you’re a natural early riser).

Clean and comfortable beds. - The owner Nihal met us at a point when we lost our way and Nilanthi, Nihal's wife met us at the villa and gave us a very warm welcome. Both Nilanthi and Nihal are excellent hosts as they provided us with everything we needed and always enquired of our needs. Nilanthi even helped me a great deal to organise a lunch party to my relatives. We parted as friends and we will definitely stay at Villa Kresilda on our next visit to Gampola. Loved the Garden and outdoor dining. Nothing really.

• Amanda (10/5): Home away from home with the best hosts - We had a perfect stay at Villa Kresilda. We were welcomed by family on arrival and provided with refreshing drinks and snacks. We were shown around the property and were really made to feel welcome and at home. We were then left with the keys and the home was ours for the duration of our stay. The bed was so comfortable and wifi was super fast. We walked from the property to the top of the Ambuluwawa tower and back, Great walk around 2hrs 30mins. We arranged a time for breakfast and on our return we met up with the owners and they cooked us a wonderful breakfast. We left with fruit for the journey on too :) highly recommend if you are looking a home away from home with amazing kind caring hosts that will be on hand for anything you need. Nothing at all :)
