Guest Reviews
- Bernard (9/5): Visited Mevgissey for five days in May. Stayed in Fulmar cottage in the heart of the village. Had dinner at Alvarado, On - Quirky cottage in Mevgissey. Excellent location in the heart of the village I liked everything
- Angela (10/5): Beautiful little cottage in the port, right in the heart of the village with everything you need for a lovely holiday. - Beautiful little cottage in the port, right in the heart of the village with everything you need for a lovely holiday. Dog friendly with stunning walks on your doorstep. Would certainly recommend. Front bedroom very small but unavoidable for type & location of property, perfectly comfortable for a long weekend. Just don’t bring big suitcases 😆
- Yves (9/5): -
- Karen (10/5): Cosy and quiet. - Beautiful, cosy fisherman's cottage right on the harbour. Quite small but perfect for a couple. Parking quite tricky. The harbour has very narrow streets but you get used to it and it adds to the charm.
- Frances (10/5): Relaxing, great position to see the harbour & great cottage to stay in - Position of property
- Guy Rocyn Jones (9/5): - A small, well equipped spotlessly clean house set on two floors one street away from the quayside with great views across the town from one of the bedrooms. The free bottle of Prosecco & greeting card was a nice touch upon arrival !
The early check-in was very much appreciated.
- sawyer (10/5): Relaxing. Didn’t want to leave. Beautiful views. - Fantastic location, clean and tidy and everything you need.
- louise (10/5): Will book again - Excellent location everything provided in the cottage
- Sally (9/5): Superb -
- Kathrin (9/5): The kind of cottage you dream of when you think of staying in a Cornish fishing village - Superb location albeit a bit of a challenge to find (but we managed). Very clean and extremely well equipped. Host welcoming and absolutely lovely. this can't be better - the rooms are very small indeed and it takes getting used to moving around such ha small space.
- Katie (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful cozy little cottage. Superbly equipped, stunning harbour.
- Wendy (10/5): A fantastic cottage in a great location would most definitely book again - Great to have two rooms both with double beds as as taking a break away with my mum. Fantastic location. Beautifully designed inside and high quality finish. It was all perfect
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Siobhan (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic little cottage where the guests comfort has been given priority. The owners thought of everything from ensuring you have loo roll, cleaning stuff, bin bags, through to treats like prosecco, milk and coffee machine . We rarely get this anymore when we stay away so it was fantastic to feel our comfort was priority rather than he owner milking every extra fiver! Last person locked Netflix with a Pin and then failed to sign out when they left so my Yellowstone "binge" dreams went out the window. Not the owners fault. ( I cleared it by the last day but it wasn't easy and used a route not open to everyone)
- Tony (10/5): Exceptional -
- Darren (10/5): Highly recommended. Would love to return ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Everything! Lovely place to stay, a great location in such a beautiful part of the world!

- Keeley (8/5): Very good - Great location , modern , clean . Great communication with owner .
- Rhonda (9/5): Fulmar Cottage is wonderfully located and well equipped for a stay in delightful Mevagissey. - Cottage is brilliantly located close to the harbour in the centre of town, clean and well-equipped. Delightful view from upstairs bedroom. Instructions re access and parking were really helpful and clear. Parking permit is a bonus. Welcome card and Prosecco were a really lovely touch.
- Eric (9/5): Relaxing visit in comfortable accommodation in the heart of the village. - Clearly an excellent location improved by comfortable and stylish accommodation with good quality equipment/fittings/towels etc. Car parking arrangements appeared somewhat daunting especially as the free car park was closed on arrival but worked out very well. We would highly recommend Fulmar Cottage and would be happy to visit in the future. Possibly a light over the bathroom sink would be useful but really nothing to criticize.
- Martin (9/5): Lovely cottage, great location in very nice fishing village. - Property was as described on the Booking.com site. Nicely laid out, very clean. Kitchen was very well equipped and had everything that was needed. Nothing.
- Elaine (10/5): Lovely location and property. We had an overall great experience and weekend away - Location and standard of the property Not being able to park close to property but you do have a parking permit and not the end of the world to walk to car
- Debbie (10/5): We loved everything about this beautiful fisherman's cottage, a perfect stay in a wonderful location - We loved everything about this beautiful fisherman's cottage, a perfect stay in a wonderful location
Fabulous views, everything is literally on your doorstep and the cottage although compact, has everything you need for a comfy stay for a few days Nothing!
- Farah (10/5): Cumfy and close - Really well situated. Close but on a side street so not to much passing traffic. It was clean, comfortable and spacey enough for a couple or small family or friends. Stones throw from the harbour. Lovely views. You go up one floor to the kitchen lounge. For me this was a bonus, we could sit in the lounge and have the window open and it was very private.
There is a kitchen bar which functionally was really useful. There’s one 2 seater sofa and an arm chair so sitting in together meant, to relax, one person sprawled on the sofa and one on the arm chair. Tbf this was still ok.
- Roger (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, lovely fishermans cottage, interesting view of the harbour from front bedroom, friendly town and great food!
- Selina (10/5): Fab cottage - Comfy, warm good location Everything
- Andy (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (9/5): Fantastic stay and will return 🤞 - Very comfortable cottage with all amenities and in a beautiful location Parking to unload but that’s the natured the lanes in Cornwall
- Deborah (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely cosy cottage, comfortable, very clean and well equipped. Great location just back from the harbour. Owners left prosecco, coffee pods and milk which was a nice touch. A parking permit for the harbour car park was provided.
- Anonymous (8/5): Our stay was excellent and wonderful our second stay there and will definitely be going back the host was wonderful and - Great location
Everything you need is on your doorstep
Great and fabulous little cottage The bathroom could have been cleaner
The floor of the shower and the shower walls could of been cleaner and near the toilet smelt a little
Also no hand wash
- Helder (10/5): Definitely want to return - We loved this property!! It was perfect location with under a 1 minute walk to the harbour so perfect to walk into town. The house was wonderful and really clean and done to do a high standard. The bedrooms were lovely and a gorgeous view of the harbour from one of them. Kitchen was done great and had everything you’d need - the hosts even left Prosecco, milk and coffee!! And Debbie and Brian were fab. Nothing!
- Darren (10/5): Lovely and relaxing - Lovely cosy cottage in the heart of mevagissey, highly recommended Nothing at all
- Steven (10/5): great location and loved being in the heart of the harbour - Beautiful decor with many high quality furnishings in the lounge. Despite the size of the bedroom we had adequate space and storage for a short stay, comfortable bed and a view of the harbour. The kitchen had sufficient space and all the ‘gadgets required’. we spoke to the owners about the oven not working, they conveyed their apologies.
- Kathleen (10/5): wonderful time. first time in Megavessy - the owners were very helpful and the location was great. The cottage was. fully equipped and lovely and clean no negatives
- Sian (10/5): Cosy but cute, and perfect location for the pub! - Gorgeous (all be it compact) property, perfect location for what we needed, lovely welcome with a bottle of Prosecco left in the fridge! As a visitor with a dog, provision of a stair gate or similar would have made the no pets upstairs rule much easier (also forewarning about the neighbour cat who broke in and went straight to the bedrooms on opening the property on day one)!
- Anonymous (10/5): Amazing location, property and value for money - clean, just what we wanted for a family get away
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional - the cottage had all you could need, the location was beautiful and the information pack left by the host tells you everything you could wish to know about the local shops and the village not being able to get to the property by car to unload
