The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only detriment was my son had to park off property due to construction.

Our room had everything we needed and was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The balcony overlooking the bay was the perfect spot to relax with a glass of wine and a book.

Mark (10/5): Coziest stay, especially in the off-season. Make this your winter getaway! - When we got a room without a view from the bedroom (one of our favorite things), the staff moved us to the room next door with no extra charge. We were incredibly grateful. The staff always seems to be not just willing but almost excited to go the extra mile for the guest. It's that sort of experience that doesn't cost anything but some effort and makes all the difference in the world. (Especially in an industry where I'm sure it would be easy to burnout from dealing with entitled people instead of grateful guests.) The winter, off-season rate made staying here the last couple years doable (we used to stay at Cherry Tree for the past 15 years) and will continue to be our go-to every winter (we usually come up twice every winter.) The TV in the main part of our room is always super sluggish and unresponsive, as opposed to the newer Samsung TV in the bedroom. It's a small thing - I know, but y'all asked. 🙂

Rashel (10/5): Best place to stay in TC! - This was the 2nd time my partner and I stayed at Tamarack and we just absolutely love this place! Rooms are super cute and cozy and love the decor. Also, the staff has always been super friendly and helpful. Was a little bummed there wasn't chili in the lobby this year, but not a big deal. We'll be coming back here as often as we can. Nothing I can think of. Everything was great!

I liked how they had a designated parking spot for each guest who stayed. The suite was spacious and the view was breathtaking. They didn’t have a microwave in the lobby. Lastest check out was 11 and we arrived at 2:00 am.

Selahattin (10/5): - Excellent location and facility. Definetly top notch hotel in Traverse city. Staff are extremely nice and helpful.Room was fantastic. Views of bay were exceptional. Price was high and could be more competitive. They didn’t have breakfast but had free coffee.

Leon (10/5): Amazing!! - Love love love this place. We came all the way from Germany and had a really great stay. The rooms were big, had a fireplace and a cozy sitting area. What made the stay even better was the super kind lady at the front desk who explained everything at the hotel, offered us cookies and DVDs. Yes! The rooms have DVD players and the front desk has a HUGE variety of movies. It was like going back in time.. in a very positive way. Rooms were clean, bathroom was great and the location right at the beach stunning. We will be back!

Brownlee (8/5): Great property spacious and accommodating - The property was spacious decorated with families in mind and it was in a great location. The fireplace, the kids books, the step stool all of those things helped this feel like our home away from home. It was much colder in traverse city then we thought it’d be and the fireplace was great but it made the hear kick off in the entire suite and when we called down the guy at the front desk was dismissive about it. The manager who came in the middle of the night was great and the rest of the staff were very nice though.

Kathleen (7/5): Great staycation esp in colder months - The pictures reflect the stay. I will say I’d spend more for the middle balcony view as the corner was just okay view point (this was the only con with the pics that if you’re at a balcony to the left of the building then it’s not that great). The staff were incredibly friendly at the front desk. Definitely give them a raise! The housekeepers are super nice and did a wonderful job! Give them a raise. I liked that there was designated parking. Took out the thinking of having to find a space. The lobby is beautiful. I did like that they had a booklet in the room of FAQ essentially and key points in the room of how to operate things ie fireplace etc. that is great customer service right there so bravo to whomever came up with that. 1. The mattress was hard. Reminded me of sleeping on a box spring, the couch was more comfortable unfortunately which was a bummer. Definitely need a massage after the stay. 2. I was on the second floor but traveling solo it was definitely concerning that the balcony door didn’t actually lock. It was low enough where someone could technically climb it and enter into the room. The screen door also didn’t function so that was a semi bummer to get fresh air in. 3. The lights around the building after dark could use some improvement. I had to grab some stuff I forgot after the sunset and noticed it didn’t feel overly safe with security lights on. 4. For safety I did give a 50/50 for the 30 min increment for the fireplace. It would be nice to have a longer timer. 5. More of a note for next level elevation - loved the shampoo scent etc, you guys could up the game with what Lifetime Fitness does - offer makeup wipe removers that are individually packed. I had some with me but it would be a nice touch to put 1-2 out as a competitor hotel I stayed at down the road that wasn’t as nice as this place had them.

Kroll (10/5): Luxurious and meticulous, the perfect getaway! - The Tamarack Lodge exceeded our expectations in every way. The room was upgraded upon checkin, featuring two bedrooms and two full bathrooms, a full kitchen, dining area, and a cozy living area with comfortable furniture, a gas fireplace, and tv. The private deck off of the living space provided a beautiful and unobstructed view of Grand Traverse Bay. The primary bedroom had a jacuzzi, in addition to the spacious, attached bathroom with walk-in shower. The suite was meticulous, and the staff was welcoming and helpful. We would absolutely recommend, and hope to stay there again on our next trip to T.C. Nothing. This stay was as perfect as it could have been.
