Guest Reviews

- Matteo (10/5): - Staff ok. Pancake a colazione il migliore del viaggio. Niente.
- Jale (10/5): - Total nettes Personal. Alles sauber und bequem. Zu fuss ist man so schnell im Zentrum und trotzdem mega ruhige Lage. Uns hat alles sehr gut gefallen.
- Utku (10/5): - To Everything.. ..
- Vadim (6/5): Pleasant -
- Adela (10/5): Feeling at Home in Bali - I feel at home. It's my second time in Bali, and I stayed here for two weeks. And I will come back again
- Sona (10/5): Exceptional - The owner is really helpful. I was late for the breakfast and she prepared an extra one for me.
- John (10/5): Exceptional - One of the very best places I've ever stayed, beautiful property, great location and the owner/manager was an absolute delight, so friendly and helpful.
- Jalal (9/5): Superb - The owner is so helpful and kind. Great location in the center of Ubud. There are lots of restaurants within walking distance. No air con. It was my fault I didn't check beforehand. The ceiling fan works well though.
- John (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent big room, great location, wonderful staff. Just a brilliant place to stay in Ubud.
- James (9/5): Superb -
- Tan (10/5): Expansive ✨ - One of the nicest places I’ve stayed at ever. Simple, clean, spacious. It’s got a big, abundant feeling. Very friendly people too. There are some chickens that go off at pretty early in the morning so you just gotta get used to that if you don’t want to wake up that early.
- Mralexsupertramp (9/5): Superb - - Lovely staff, smiling and welcoming!
- The hotel is in a nice and quiet area
- Room is spacious
- Breakfast is included, and you get a thermos that you can use to make yourself tea and/or coffee whenever you want! - I stayed four nights and the towel was never changed: could have been a communication issue though!
- Breakfast had only a few options, mostly just different types of eggs cooking methods: maybe it was a misunderstanding, but in the Booking page it looked like you had more options.
- The location is quiet but also a bit far from the city center, nothing crazy though!
- Maoliosa (8/5): Great bed, and great value for money - The owner was a very helpful and nice man. The place was clean and the bed was the comfiest bed on our travels.
We got some great night sleeps here, although be aware of roosters crowing at all hours of the morning. Bring earplugs. Great location to the town though and off the beaten track so a bit calmer.nice restaurants nearby also! Other than the roosters we loved everything about this place. Roosters are everywhere in ubud also so always a good idea to have ear plugs.
- Tina (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice people, amazing breakfast. Very beautiful room and terrace. Also very clean. There were ants in the room. Maybe its possible to do something about that.
- Vouchim (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (10/5): Nice large room with comfortable bed - Very quiet clean nice breakfast big room and large verandah 10 minutes walk to the center. Lots of eating opportunities around Alls good
- Krohalev (10/5): Original holiday - Silence jungl and true Bali people 10+ I will come again 🙏🏽 None
- Taíssa (8/5): Very good - Confortable bed, clean sheets, cozy view if you have a balcony in your room - the location is avarage, not that close to the main street (but could be way worse)
- there were many ants everywhere in the room
- there were no person in the reception while I stayed there (for 5 days). Only a really nice man that was responsable for cleaning.. i missed someone to recommend places or things to do. And to ask things about the stay
- could have breakfast
- Sarah (10/5): Super clean and great value! - Super clean and one of the few places I stayed in my 2 months in Bali that did not have a 'scent'. My only initial feedback for them would be to have a hot water pot in the room... but once I opened my curtains, I noticed a carafe of hot water on my lanai table. So sweet! Super comfy bed, no ac but didn't need it with the fan. all great!
- Albert (9/5): Cozy room in centre of Ubub - Location was perfect, we could walk to the main street and there was a restaurant in the same street 100 meters further. We are there twice because it was very good and cheap.
The bed was comfy and there was warm water.
Breakfast was nice, you could choose from omelette, scrambled eggs and pancakes, all with fruit and toast (no toast with pancakes). The ambient sounds from the animals. The rooster woke us up the both nights. You also hear the geckos and the birds.
One small communication error in the last day for our breakfast. We asked for a to-go bag and got the breakfast served on the table.
- Moldir (10/5): Cozy place - It was very lovely staycation, the owner is friendly and nice. The room was clean and cozy. Thank you so much!
- Seyeong (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ghazal (10/5): Very friendly and helpful staff. A great place to stay. - We had a corner room with privacy and a private bathroom. Every morning the breakfast was served on the balcony which we really enjoyed.
- Luisa (8/5): Very good -
- Aleksandr (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was nice, price/ quality perfectly! My recommendation
- Aleksandr (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pavel (5/5): Sleepless night but nice place :) - If you are not planning to sleep there it's good. Everything was clean and nice. I can't recommend this place to anybody if you want to spend the night there until the owner of the place won't deal with the neighbor’s rooster. It started yelling every half an hour from 1am to the morning.
- Dominic (10/5): Lovely and comfortable - could stay here for a week or more!! - The property was lovely! Even though there was no AC here, it actually wasn’t bad at all! A hot shower before bed and the fan on medium and you were fine! The tea and coffee every day served from your own giant flask freshly left every morning was a lovely touch! The room was large and spacious and the bed was actually a Queen size bed! The family who run Okantara were lovely and smiley! They offered to clean our sheets and tidy our room but it wasn’t necessary! No mosquitos too!!! Considering the place has lots of plants and water around it was a worry for us!! A pretty good location too, walkable into Ubud and plenty of food places to choose from! The location is off the Main Street so it’s relatively quiet too!!! The fan we had squeaked but we used ear buds for that! Local chickens too but we just used our ear buds!
- Anton (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katie (10/5): Exceptional - The owner was so helpful and welcoming.
Great location.
Big comfy beds.
- Matilde (10/5): Exceptional -
- Laney (8/5): Lovely room - Very big room. Quite clean, they have coffee and tea set up for you all day, felt very homely and the location is pretty good. The rooster goes off all night!! Second night I had no sleep it started at 3am in the morning! Definitely something to think about. I saw it on other reviews and didn’t think it would be that bad! But it is so loud and goes off every minute
- Edward (8/5): Very good - The staff were wonderful! very friendly, always smiling and willing to go to any lengths to please.
The room was very clean and comfortable. Mainly the roosters in the neighborhood would crow all times day and night and would frequently wake me. The manager was sympathetic, but the roosters weren’t his and there was nothing he could do anyway.
- Hong (4/5): Disappointing - Location only No shampoo, not clean bed sheet
There is no air-conditioning but fan which gives a lot of noise
Noisy early in the morning because of the roosters nearby etc
- Greta (9/5): Superb - The hosts were very warm, and the property was super clean, cozy and the room is pretty big. They would leave a thermo jar with hot water and selection of teas and coffee in my terrace so I could make a hot beverage which was really sweet. There was no AC and because the terrace is shared with the whole floor there is always people walking by the room peeking inside :(
- Elizabeth (8/5): Nice quality room, convenient location, great price and friendly staff - Nice room, comfortable bed. Good vibes in room. Complimentary hot water for making tea or coffee. Nice working desk and places to unpack belongings. Friendly staff. As it faces the street you can hear motorbikes going past, mostly this quietens down during the hours when you want to sleep as its not a busy road but could be a little quieter overall if you're sensitive to this kind of thing.
- Vitalii (9/5): Superb -
- Karolína (7/5): Good place to stay - Nice and clean place. I had to ask for exchange of towels.
- Josefin (10/5): Exceptional - We had the best time staying at Okantara house! The room was very clean and spacious. The service was great, we were served coffee and tea every morning. The owners were so friendly and helpful. Okantara is located just a couple of hundred meters down to the main road so it was very comfortable. The only thing we missed was an air conditioner, there was a big fan in the roof so it was definitely manageable.
- Noa (10/5): Exceptional - Clean, nice balcony, great breakfast, big room, amazing owners ❤️
- Diego (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bel (9/5): Very comfortable and accomodating staff, only $30 AUD - The welcoming family. No fan.
- Lucie (10/5): Exceptional - Room was spacious and comfortable, air con worked very well and bathroom was good size as well.
One of the nicest stays I’ve had while travelling and the family are so helpful and lovely to talk too.
Thank you so much for everything!!
- Pamela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sona (10/5): Exceptional - Clean and spacious rooms, nice view, delicious breakfast and friendly owners 🙂
- Valentina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kitty (8/5): Very good -
- Derek (10/5): Exceptional -
- Man (10/5): Exceptional - Good atmosphere, nice view So many ants in my room
- Monica (9/5): First time stay for 2 days, then we extend up to 7 days - For a low price, we get a comfortable, clean, odorless room, hot water, and free flow for making your own coffee/tea. Rooms are always cleaned every day. Breakfast is also available every morning. Mr. Made who served us was very kind and friendly. Great location, close to Ubud. If you bring a car, there is a yard for parking. Do you need a comfortable place to stay? You need to try living in Okantara House.
Everything is great here. That's why, from the planned stay of only 2 days, we extended it to 7 days. Maybe for those who go online more often, you can consider using another provider. At Okantara House there is Wifi, but it is less stable. But if it's only for browsing Bali's tourist attractions using a smartphone, wifi can still be used properly.
