Guest Reviews
- Rachael (10/5): Excellent. Would stay here again! - Location was fantastic for Snowden, property was very comfortable, the pub a few minutes walk away had excellent food.
- Nicky (10/5): - Location was great for accessing all that snowdonia has to offer. The kitchen is very well stocked and the log burner made this a very cozy home Nothing that could be changed. A downstairs bathroom is always a challenge with a family but that's what you expect if you want a traditional Welsh cottage
- Janjan (10/5): - Fab location for walking and for the pub!
- Scott (7/5): -
- Christian (10/5): Hidden Gem in a stunning location with great facilities - Great location with scenic views, as well as being close by to Snowdon. The cottage was cosy and clean, with excellent facilities. The owner is also friendly and helpful and replied quickly to any questions we had. Highly recommend staying here.
- Carol (9/5): Amazing property ideally suited for walking the mountains - Amazing area and property was wonderful Just wished there was a another wood stove in the dining room
- Vlad (10/5): -
- Bogdan (10/5): Amazing view and cozy - The place was very cozy and very well located. The host was very polite and friendly. The view is amazing. Very happy with our stay. The log burner was a nice touch. A bit cold at times but overall very pleased
- Deshpande (6/5): - Like mentioned by the owners, it definitely had bags of potential. Really good location. Really cosy cabin. The pantry in the kitchen was absolutely dreadful. We did stopped by Tesco and got things to make dinner thinking that basic cooking stuff will be there as usual, which was but in really bad state. Salt was rusting, pepper was all moist, oil was smelling bad, other spices were all covered by fungus. We had to cook our dinner without salt on the first night.
There were no basic toiletries in the toilet.
The front door lock was so dramatic, we had to spend nearly an hour the first morning to get it locked. The next day we had to leave from the back door as the front door lock won’t work at all.
The bins were kept at really bad spot as our car was a rental and had almost hit it couple of times.
- Tracy (10/5): We had a lovely Christmas stay. - Very cozy and comfortable. Hosts were very welcoming and communicative. The views were incredible.
- Marina (9/5): A lovely stay! Highly recommended. - A truly charming cottage in a gorgeous Welsh setting. We loved how cosy and comfortable it was, especially after long walks in the hills. Everything was clean and thoughtfully provided. It’s the kind of place you immediately relax in. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a quiet escape.
Elliott was extremely helpful and responsive when we had a problem with one of the heaters. The only minor downside was that the cottage was quite cold when we first arrived and took a little while to warm up. However, the owner had warned us about this in advance, and once it was warm it was perfectly cosy and comfortable for the rest of our stay.
- Amanda (10/5): Absolutely fantastic stay, the host got back to me very quickly with any queries - Log burner was perfect for this time of year and the views from our cottage we’re unbelievable. Being directly on the main road
- Denise (10/5): Fantastic comfy cottage to come back to after a horrific walk up snowdonia - Location was ideal for climbing snowdonia. With a pub in walking distance. Could have another toilet as their was five ladies sharing
- Chika (9/5): A journey where the majestic mountains stole our gaze and the stunning scenery captured our hearts - We absolutely loved the location of this property — the view from the window is simply breathtaking. The cottage is spacious, cozy, spotlessly clean, and very well equipped. The internet connection is excellent, making it perfect for a "workation" without any issues. I highly recommend this property to anyone who enjoys nature and is looking for a peaceful, relaxing holiday We didn’t have any major dislikes. The only minor concern was the property's access to the road. If you're traveling with a dog or small children, be mindful that the entrance opens directly onto a road where cars tend to pass by quite fast. It's important to take extra care to ensure they don’t run out unexpectedly.
- Wendy (9/5): -
- Emma (9/5): Perfect cottage location for walking/hiking trips in the most beautiful countryside - The property was quaint, full of character and perfectly placed for enjoying Yr Wyddfa Only downside was the lack of garden chairs/table but everything else was awesome
- Steven (8/5): Really enjoyed Terfyn. Cosy and reasonably priced with good facilities. - Location was ideal for our trip N/A
- Zuwairi Rahman (10/5): Perfect location - I like the whole house, perfect location with a majestic view. Full amenities for a comfortable stay. Maybe the entrance could be wider for the car
- Asfand (10/5): EPIC Snowdon Mountain Cottage! - Loved absolutely everything, from the warmth and welcoming staff over messages to the tiniest of detail of the property. The house, although a bit secluded and hard to find, has a beautiful view and a cozy feeling. The location is perfect for anyone planning to hike in the Snowdon mountain area. The facilities and amenities were perfect and the instructions from the host were super clear. Although there is no mobile reception, the super fast WiFi is a lifesaver. The only tiniest complaint is the single beds mattress could use a change as the springs are quite prominent feeling. When laying down it is not very comfortable. The ventilation in the rooms could have been better but considering that it is something out of control and not something that can be easily addressed it is understandable.
An additional bathroom is very much needed especially if the property can accommodate up to 6 people.
- John (10/5): Exelent location for snowdonia - Location Nothing
- Katrina (8/5): Fantastic beautiful location, lovely period features and friendly hosts - Fantastic location, lovely character features and great communication with the hosts. Enjoyed the extra touches such as fire wood, blankets and games. I felt the cleanliness could be improved, quite dusty in places.
- Susan (10/5): Stunning cottage - Beautiful location
May of been nice to have garden chairs to enjoy the view on a sunny evening .
Mountains in front were the icing on the cake
The bed was the best sleep iv had in a long long time .
Pup down tje rd 5 mins walj
Stunning food . Shower
It was running hot ,cold and scoldimg had to wait in intervals for it to be warm
But thats only negative point
- Simon (10/5): Great, great, great! - Lovely house in a great location.
The beds were comfortable, there's private parking, the house was clean, shower works well, pub within walking distance. There's nothing not to like about this property.
The only thing that I would have appreciated is if there was a BBQ.
- Georgina (10/5): Highly recommend, you will not be disappointed - We loved everything, a beautiful cottage with great views all around. A great place to eat 5 minutes down the road. Great for families. Great location.
Great communication with the owner during the booking and our stay.
It has everything you need , bath, shower , great cooking facilities, full size fridge freezer, even an ironing board. Honestly the list goes on, just everything you would normally have at home.
The open fire was gorgeous to put on in the evening and just gave the cottage a lovely little touch.
We highly recommend this cottage in Wales , we will definitely be staying again when we come to visit from Kent
Many thanks again I had to go home 🫢 just beautiful
- Harvey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Susan (7/5): Good - Super location. Well equipped cottage. Lovely hot water. Would have been nice if the fire had been laid ready for us going in as it was cold. Another bathroom for 6 people!!
- Kathryn (9/5): We had a lovely, peaceful stay in an amazing location. - The location was fantastic and the price was very reasonable. The cottage itself was very cosy and the views were amazing.
The communication between the owners was great, they were really helpful. The property was cold when we checked in (it was February!) but we were informed about this before our stay so brought warm clothes and extra logs for the log burner.
- Rhys (7/5): Cosy cottage 5 minutes down the road from Snowden, would definitely stay again! - When we arrived using the postcode provided, it took us a bit further down the road - luckily there were some servicemen which were able to locate terfyn on their iPad (maybe include a ‘what 3 words’ to help guests find Terfyn easier. Not much firewood provided for the weekend, All though hosts let us know we would need more, it would of helped to have plenty as the house doesn’t hold heat well at all, the heating doesn’t do a thing (but the fire soon warms it up!) make sure you take plenty of wood, best to have too much than not enough!
- Uttley (10/5): Beautiful Cottage in the mountains. - The location was perfect and the cottage was very cute with everything we needed. The perfect way to start 2025!
- Przemyslaw (9/5): Lovely cottage exactly as described. You will not be dissapointed - Lovely cottage with everything you need available. Comfy beds, cozy living room with a fireplace. Lots of useful info from the host before arrival. A pub with great food only 5min walk away Shower temperature was fluctuating a bit
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sam (9/5): Amazing cosiy cottage grate vews and amazing location - The location was perfect for what we wanted to do climb mount snowdon The shower wasn’t the best
- Des (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daniel (8/5): Very good -
- Nicholas (9/5): A very nice stay, would come again. - A very spacious and well appointed kitchen, easy for cooking family meals. A great view from the cottage, and a great central location for the Snowden area. The property is on a main road, but then so are most others in the area! The road wasn’t too busy, and there were nearby footpaths for dog walking.
- Nevil (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andy (8/5): Very good - Location close to Pen y pass car park The second bedroom had a small double in a small room
- Arjun (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kerry (10/5): Very beautiful cottage in the most picturesque little village! - Very well equipped and cute cottage. Lots of personalised info before arrival. Nothing it was just perfect!
- Aaron (9/5): A clean and cozy house with a perfect location - Beautiful small house, cozy front room and clean bathroom with location being perfect. Bedrooms all clean and tidy with a great dining room with large table. Lots of cooking utensils to choose from and laundry facilities. Not much not to like about this property, only things which would complete it for our personal preferences would be a more powerful shower and slight kitchen remodel for update but saying that everything done the job perfectly as it should. We just to cook so for us kitchen is important, however the rest of the house and the character made up for this completely.
- Mark (9/5): Cosy cottage great location - Cosy cottage Kitchen
- Faisal (8/5): Very good -
- Ewa (10/5): Exceptional - Terfyn is a cottage located in the mountains. It provides full comfort of rest and the only guests are sheep.
