Guest Reviews
- Grace (8/5): Would book again - Beautiful house and gardens. Comfortable bed and very easy check in and check out process. The pool is brilliant for kids. Area is also excellent, lots to do and lovely pub down the road.
- Tahlia (9/5): Fantastic family stay - Absolutely wonderful house, beautifully furnished and equipped with everything you could possibly need. The photos don’t capture quite how lovely this property is.
- Kelly (9/5): Would love to return again - Very spacious house
Lovely garden and grounds
Excellent location
Easy check in and out
Separate living rooms for kids
Open fire
Swimming pool was fantastic for the kids More kitchen pots and pans - stainless steel
Issue with solar system heating so noisy tank system on last night and scolding hot water in kitchen tap. Mentioned to staff on departure and they were going to look into it. Didn’t affect our stay.
- Nick (10/5): - Lovely place to stay in a great location. Excellent communication with the host. Nothing
- Natalie (10/5): -
- MazD (10/5): Comfy and charming house with a warm and welcoming vibe. A great place to relax and unwind. - Lovely stay at Valesmoor Farm with my family including elderly nan, children and the pooch too. We all had comfy beds, the house was warm and nicely decorated. We also thought the kitchen was well equipped. Plenty of parking for all of us. Nice pub in walking distance. The pool was a real bonus too. Nothing to gripe about, everything was as expected.
- Ollie (10/5): Perfect! - Amazing property, the pictures don't do it justice. Nothing.
- Holly (10/5): Gorgeous property nestled in nature. Few small areas of improvement but otherwise exceptional! - Perfect location, beautiful, idyllic and picturesque. Plenty of space for large groups, well equipped kitchen and dining area, multiple living room spaces and adequate bathrooms. The property is surrounded by nature which is just gorgeous. We had the most incredible experience and were able to have a private chef and massage therapist find the property without issue and offer their services with plenty of room. All bedrooms were quaint and had all you needed. The weather wasn’t great so we didn’t spend much time in the garden however safe to say we’ll return in summer to make the most of the gorgeous outdoor spaces and BBQ! The pool is dated and requires some modernising. Whilst the property was clean there was rubbish and food left from the previous guests by the poolside. The heating is extremely old and when we arrived was seemingly off. I took a long time for the property to heat. The upstairs thermostat is broken however when we did make contact with Michael for guidance re heating upstairs he responded promptly and we managed to resolve it relatively quickly. I’d recommend leaving it on a mid-temp when guests are due to stay so it’s not freezing when you arrive.

- John (10/5): Lovely house for a family gathering. - Lovely house with plenty of room for our party including four grandchildren. The pool was a great addition for entertaining them on a wet February. It was too cold for the adults but again, it was February. Nothing
- Mellish (10/5): Fantastic facilities - There were 5 adults, 4 children and a dog and we had the best time. The pool was lovely.
- Mark (8/5): -
- Sally (9/5): - Loved the space and Christmas decorations.
- Diana (10/5): Big comfortable house in the new forest. - The house is spacious and comfortable for a large family or group of friends. We enjoyed our stay. We didn’t have enough towels for everyone at first but someone delivered more. The master bathroom shower doesn’t have water if someone is showering in another bathroom.
- Duncan & Caitlin (9/5): Comfortable home in the heart of the New Forest - The property was gorgeous, spacious and especially clean. All of the beds were very comfortable and the rooms were generous sizes. It's also located right in the forest with horses just over the road. Would recommend! Nothing major but the pool house could do with a little TLC and it would've been even cosier if the electric fireplace worked.
- david (10/5): -
- Janet (8/5): -
- Una (9/5): A brilliant venue to make family memories! - This is a beautifully located, tastefully decorated and well equipped property. We loved the use of the pool with the inflatable volleyball net - hours of fun! The area is quiet and peaceful and the drawing room is perfect for family board games. The water pressure wasn’t brilliant in one of the showers but others were absolutely fine.
- Sarah (10/5): Amazing, would love to go back - The house is amazing, beautifully furnished, spacious and everything you would need there Nothing
- Tiffany (10/5): A wonderful house set in the heart of the New Forest - We loved the size and space in the property. It was also extremely well furnished and the beds were so comfortable to sleep in. The garden was beautiful and it was in a great location to reach different parts of the New Forest. Nothing
- Gordon (9/5): Visited for a weekend break with our families, including our grandchildren to celebrate a 70TH birthday. The children lo - The property was spacious and beautifully presented. Location was perfect and the pool was amazing
- emma (9/5): Fabulous place , house , area and facilities - The house was lovely , the garden and the pool were fabulous Communication with the host wasn’t that good. They said we could check out later than 10 but on checking I received no answer and cleaners arrived just after 10 which made us uncomfortable and rushed to leave
- richenda (9/5): - Lovely house in a great setting. Perfect for our family birthday celebration. Good communication from host. Good sized pool, although an exterior a little dated/worn. Would stay again.
- Joanna (8/5): Beautiful large family house in an excellent location! - Loved the location, the pool, garden and interior. We had a fantastic family holiday Very minor but things in the kitchen like one hob wasn’t working and there was limited tea spoons and large water glasses.
- Lilian (8/5): Great place! - The welcome procecco was a nice toutch, and the house was well presented ince arrived.
The facilities, equipment, and location, in general, a clean house, were very good.
The swimming pool and bbq area were really nice, together with the toilet and shower outside. There was a small issue with the dishwasher that first of all left many utensils dirty in the drawers and cupboards, from previous stay.
There were no pods to use the dishwasher, and after purchasing some, it didn't wash the dishes, making us do it by hand hours later. That wouldn't be an issue if we knew beforehand, but also, there wasn't space to put hand-wash dishes to dry for a group of 8 people.
This was communicated during the stay, but no reply/assistance was provided.
- ruth (10/5): it was all lovely - it was all lovely thank you no all great thank you

- Charlotte (10/5): Exceptional - Easy access, private surroundings. Beautiful decor with comfortable and stylish soft furnishings.
Bedrooms very comfortable. Pool very clean and warm and big.
Kitchen had everything you could need for a large group stay.
Gardens were beautiful and well maintained.
A fabulous place to stay!
- Helen (9/5): Beautiful house and gardens with a heated pool as a bonus. A very easy house to stay in. - The gardens were beautiful and it was a lovely 1920s/30s property, great light and easy to stay in. There is a pub within walking distance and the walking in the new Forest National park is across the road from the front gate. The kitchen was quite small and the dining table did not seat all 10 of us comfortably. We were able to improvise though.
- James (10/5): Excellent - The accommodation was extremely spacious, lovely & clean. Host was very helpful as had an issue with hot water but was easily resolved. The water for the showers wasn’t too powerful but didn’t affect the stay.
- Alex (10/5): What a place! - Beautiful location. Stunning house. Great Comms from owners. Near a pub too. Swimming pool is a real bonus. Would strongly recommend. Thanks for a lovely stay!
- William (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karen (9/5): A perfect house for a group of friends. The inside and outside warm and welcoming! Highly recommend - The property had beautiful gardens front and back, the house was well equipped and spacious. Beds were super comfy and the pool was lovely and warm. It was missing a few glasses which the owners brought over for us as soon as we asked. A light wasn’t working which again was fixed straight away.
- Trevor (10/5): Fantastic stay in fantastic accommodation at fantastic location - Fantastic accommodation in fantastic location.
It had everything that we could have hoped for.
Will be sure to go back again in the future Nothing
- John (10/5): Exceptional - Large family house, perfect for cludo , the ambience was fab, kitchen well equipped, swimming a boon for the children, plenty of dvds and books, great value for money. Nothing
- Sally (9/5): Really enjoyed having the family together for a break. - Lovely location; plenty of space. Super facilities. Plumbing was a bit iffy!!
- Ma. (9/5): absolutely amazing - the pool needs to be more warm and updated but the rest of the property is soo beautiful
- Sulwen (10/5): Fabulous house with bonus of swimming pool. Great for a family party. - It was self catering and there was plenty of fridge and freezer space for our food. There were complimentary cereals and muffins with coffee and tea available. Spices for cooking. We made our own meals there. Hard to say as the house and furnishings were great and comfortable. So much space. One of the double beds mattress was a bit inclined to sink in the middle but all had a good nights sleep.
- Claudine (10/5): loved everything - wow we absolutely loved this beautiful home! although our trip was short we made the most of it with fab pool, beautiful gardens and stunning house which was massive.
- Stephen (10/5): Wonderful stay and we would definitely use the house again - The house was very spacious and clean and in a great location.
Communication with the owner was excellent.
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sergio (7/5): Great location and facilities, but the checkout was too early and inflexible. - The location was really good. The checkout was too early.
- Simon (7/5): Some bits great, but heat/elect problems and the lack of support from host on final day not good - Many aspects of the property are great. almost unbeatable. The outside space is fantastic for a family, or more, together. There is a great deal of room inside for personal space. The beds are very comfortable (we used the four upstairs bedrooms but no the 5th downstairs). Communication with the host was strong prior to arriving and during the first night when we had heating issues (see below). He also set up a visit to the local riding school for us. Location is excellent - very quiet yet not far from the shops and local pub etc. The kitchen and washing machine facilities etc were well provided for although mostly unused by us on a short stay. Fully updated there is no reason this can not be a 10/10 property The cleaning was an 8 or 9 out of ten not full marks as there were cobwebs/dust on items such as ceiling lights/shades. However, the main disappointment for us were the areas that need updating/attention to detail. One landing curtain was missing hooks and there was what appeared to be a broken thermostat for the upstairs bedrooms which meant these rooms were too cold on arrival (it was a very cold spell) but the host helped talk us through to fix this on the first night to be fair. 2 out of 4 showers we couldn't work and that avocado bathroom suite is how old? The provision of an indoor swimming pool is brilliant for the kids in theory but the upkeep of the cover meant we didn't find it a relaxing space to spend as much time in as we planned to there. One electric socket was coming off the wall in the lounge and generally the electrics etc don't seem to have been updated for decades. Not sure if it is for this reason that on the morning of departure there was a complete power outage, the house became cold quickly, we couldn't turn the dishwasher on etc. The comms with the host were non-existent on the final day as my calls and messages went unanswered (and have still been not responded to two weeks later) and I couldn't locate the fuse box etc to try and resolve myself. I really felt for the guest due to arrive that day after us.
- Barbie (10/5): excellent ! - Beautiful property 5* n/a
- Simonetta (9/5): We had a fantastic time and will definitely when will return to New Forest - The property is perfect for a big family. Everybody had their own space. Beautiful leaving rooms. The fireplace in the kitchen amazing. We also enjoyed the heated swimming pool. Good for exercise and fun. The house is equipped with all you need. The location is fantastic, it is just few minutes to the seaside and close to all villages in New Forest. The bathrooms are only a bit outdated
- Jazmine (10/5): Stunning stay, will be back! - The house was stunning, inside everything was perfectly designed and the house provided a lovely charm being in the countryside. I loved the living room details and warm fire that could be lit. The water pressure on the shower wasn’t great, but not something our group were particularly bothered by! Everything was great!
- Verity (9/5): Superb - House was perfect, discreet, easy to find, well located. Michael's communication was fantastic
- Charlotte (8/5): Very nice house and lovely to be able to have use of the pool - Great property. Very spacious and comfortable. Only one thing. Shower pressure was not great but everyone still able to use.
- C (8/5): A perfect spot to gather with our family, plenty of room for everyone, we had a lovely stay. Thanks! - Great location, lovely and spacious house for large family gathering Shower pressure wasn’t great
- Helen (10/5): Exceptional - It was really well furnished and the beds, bedding, towels etc were great and it was very comfy
- Margot (8/5): Very good -
- Simon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephen (10/5): A relaxing and restful stay at Valesmoor Farm - Valesmoor Farm is a lovely place and my family and I had a relaxing and fun time here. The house is spacious, decorated to a high standard and the heated pool is simply fantastic. It is located in a quiet place in the new forest. Such a lovely place. Would rate it as 11 out of 10 if I could. Well-equipped kitchen. Nice spacious grounds. Overall we had a fantastic stay here and look forward to coming back again. The host is brilliant and responsive and very understanding. Nothing. It was absolutely lovely and no complaints at all from us.
- Joanna (10/5): Fantastic look forward to going back - The decor, space, cleanliness, location, facilities … everything you’d want in a large getaway in the New Forest
- Daniel (9/5): Really enjoyed our week long stay. Would definitely use again. - Large spacious house. Huge garden. Swimming pool. Excellent location. Water pressure very low, showers just a trickle. Area around the pool needs some treatment.
- Chetu (10/5): Great holiday home - Great property, well maintained, great pool. Kitchen had enough utensils and cups, cutlery etc., Beautiful garden, and had provision for fireplace and BBQ (although we used neither) next to the pool. Drive was quite big and should be enough for at least 6 cars the only little hiccup was water pressure in showers in the house, although poolside shower was power shower which was good.
- Jo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional - Everything it's an incredible place That we had to leave lol
- Simon (9/5): Superb -
- Maureen (8/5): We had a lovely stay at Valesmoor Farm and there was plenty of room for all 8 family members. - A beautiful, spacious house with very good facilities. The swimming pool was a perfect feature as it enabled my two young granddaughters to improve their swimming - and have fun in the process! When needed, Mike was easy to contact and quick to respond. There was no cold water in the handbasin tap in the en-suite bathroom. Unfortunately, Mike advised that this could not be fixed during our stay.
- Joe (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrea (10/5): Exceptional -
- Patrick (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fatima (10/5): Heaven I didn't want to leave - Everything, I can't fault it was more than what we expected, the host Mike top man he's always there if you ever need any help, u know what. No words can explain how magnificent this place is. Eden on earth also its on 30 minutes to the UK famous beach in Bournemouth plus you also get local beaches around the house which are like 5 minutes drive. The house is surrounded by horse stables morning sounds of bird and horses it's simply heaven. Who said I didn't like anything?
- Sian (10/5): Aug 8 - Aug 10 - Our group had a great couple of nights - it's even better than the pictures! Setting is beautiful with a pretty garden to the back and horses on the fields across the road. The bed was super comfy and the pool was a good bonus! The pub down the road was very pricey but no complaints about the property itself! It may have been useful to have an additional front door key between us.
- Charmian (10/5): Exceptional - Loved the house- plenty of room.
Lovely garden.
Great pool.
- Emma (8/5): Very good - The communal rooms are gorgeous and inviting. The pool and garden are also a really great space to be in.
- Chandani (10/5): A great family staycation. - We had a lovely stay at this beautiful farm house.
We were welcomed with a bottle of Prosecco and a breakfast basket, which was a thoughtful gesture.
There was 11 of us and there was plenty of space for us all.
There were 2 living areas, one with a TV and another without. Both rooms with a fire place, including the dining area! There was also a small conservatory area, which was a beautiful place to sit, relax and enjoy the views of the garden.
There was also a downstairs bedroom and bathroom, which was very convenient for those who struggle with stairs.
All the bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. 3 double bedrooms and 2 single bedrooms. 2 of the double bedrooms were large enough for a double blow up bed, one of which is en-suite.
There are 4 bathrooms, all with shower gel, shampoo and conditioner and super soft towels.
The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could think of, including all BBQ needs.
The front and back garden were well kept with a swing at the front. The children had lots of fun running around on their Eater egg hunt. Lots of great places to hide the eggs. Us adults also enjoyed relaxing in the large garden, in the day and evening. They have an outdoor fire pit too!
The in-door swimming pool was a really nice bonus. Plenty of pool towels and swim floats and life jackets were also available.
There’s a local pub, 5-10mins walk away. The beaches are a short drive away.
The farm house was a lovely place to stay. Our family had a wonderful time. The host was very helpful before and during our stay.
