This place is to be avoided - owners a - Very little - possibly the location but still quite far from the city and expensive in a taxi. Where do I begin? Our stay at Wallwood Rooms, London was nothing short of a disaster. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this place is run with zero professionalism or care for guests. • Room not ready until 10PM. Yes, 10 at night. After a long day of travel, we were left waiting around for hours. • No bed sheets provided. Just a bare, stained mattress and pillows. Speaking of which… • Disgusting bedding. The pillows and mattress were visibly yellow-stained and unhygienic. I’ve taken pictures and will be uploading them publicly. • Locked out upon arrival. We had to wait outside for 30 minutes after 9PM just to be let in. • And perhaps worst of all — I only just discovered a message that had been sent on Friday morning, saying the room had bed bugs. I didn’t see the message at the time, and nobody mentioned it when we arrived. They let us stay in that room without saying another word. To make matters worse, any attempt to contact their staff afterward was met with silence. This is not just unprofessional — it’s negligent and completely unacceptable. I’ve raised this on Booking.com, TripAdvisor, and Facebook, complete with photos and screenshots. For your health and safety, do not stay here. It’s one of the worst accommodations I’ve ever encountered.

They did not even bother to call me or send a text so I did not realise something was wrong until I got there. When I arrived at the property nobody was there and nobody answered the repeated phone calls. They still took my money and I have not even received an apology, let alone a refund. • Neil (9/5): A reasonably-priced, cosy and comfortable stay. - A really lovely room that felt like home. Comfortable with a good shower. A shared kitchen was very convenient. Difficulty getting into the actual room as the thumb-swipe on the room door was temperamental. Peeling wallpaper, but that wasn’t really an issue.

• Clare (9/5): Chic apartment in great location - Lovely apartment with a shared kitchen which had everything you needed. I liked the shabby chic decor in the bedroom which gave it a nice touch. The bathroom was nice too with a great shower. Great location as well for east London and not far from Canary Wharf. Quieter than I expected for the location and a Lidl and Tesco were on the doorstep, which were bonuses :) The only downside was I couldn't close the window after opening it, but this wasn't an issue as it was warm and it wasn't too noisy outside during the night.

• Kamani (3/5): Not good as shown in the picture - Nothing The hotel was not at all as shown in the pictures. The room looked old and poorly maintained, unlike the modern look advertised online. There was no attached bathroom just the small bed and cupboard. Worst of all, the cleaners opened our room while we were inside, which felt like a major violation of privacy. I felt misled and disappointed with the overall experience. Not worth the price.

Generally clean and pleasant, but I found cigarette butts and some private things on the balcony, like dumbbells etc. Despite everything, the stay was fine

• Niomi (1/5): Given wrong room, not given a refund. - I booked and paid for a room with a private bathroom but when I arrived at the property there was firstly no key in the key box so I had to wait in the dark for someone to come and bring me a key. I was then told that the room I booked already had someone in it and I was given a much smaller room with no bathroom. I ended up calling booking.com to cancel my booking and get a refund as I was not getting the room i booked. But I still havent recieved any money other than £28 of booking.com credit even though I was told I would get a full refund. The property management is also not replying to my message.

• Kamsiyonna (6/5): Overall, a comfortable stay with a great location and well-functioning facilities, though cleanliness could be improved. - The property had a great location, a quiet environment, comfortable furniture, and all the facilities worked perfectly, which made for a pleasant stay. The host was friendly and responsive, but cleanliness could be improved. When I arrived, there was a food packaging paper left on the table, which made me unsure if the room had been properly cleaned. The shared bathroom and fridge also were not very clean. The host apologized and addressed my concerns, which I appreciated, but it would be better if the rooms were thoroughly cleaned before guests arrived.

Most importantly, the presence of department stores near the accommodation was a significant advantage. I believe it would be beneficial to provide a microwave and a hot water kettle for quick meals.

• Vanessa (4/5): Will not come again - Very central location! The smell of urine in the elevator, the Doors do not hold any sound back (People arrived sunday night 3 AM, no chance to sleep through something like that), bathroom and bedroht could be cleaner and my personal highlight - BEDBUGS.

• Steve (7/5): Comfortable, at a good price - It was easy to access with clear instructions, comfortable room/bathroom with all the furniture I needed. I didn’t use the kitchen but it looked decent. It was a good price, and I’d stay again. Unfortunately some of the other guests were up very late (2am) talking and using the kitchen & shower, and because the bedroom door isn’t well sealed, noise creeps in easily. The bedroom door locks also beep very loudly so that is a bit disturbing. If the doors had a better seal against light and sound, and the door locks were quieter I’d not have any complaints to be honest!

Shower powerful and good hot water! 4 numbers to call for help on arrival - one answered and couldn't help with directions! Instructions for bedroom door entry could be better. Bathroom floor and bath mat filthy. A dirty towel left hanging on a light in my room and a 1/3 bottle of water?? Broken lamps in my room and no instruction on closing window - strange catch….Decor in room needs TLC. Bed VERY firm. Shared bathroom - someone left toilet in a bad way over night. Kitchen clean - odd pan and oven tray dirty - limited cutlery and only 3 small cups but well stocked other than that. All decor thats not a necessity was very dusty and unkempt. Shower only about 5ft high - bit if a nuisance but ok. Cleaner needs to be a lot more vigilant - shame as could be very good if other guests were a little more respectful.

• Jack (4/5): Broken Furniture and no First Aid Kit - The double bedroom had a private balcony which was nice. The location is a short distance from Canery Wharf and the DLR, with a tesco and lidl around the corner. The furniture is of poor quality and fell apart as soon as I entered the room. The bed collapsed when I sat on it for the first time (which was rather comedic), then when I placed items on the cabinet provided, the shelfs collapsed and slashed my hand (causing bleeding). It was then I learned that the property does not have a First Aid kit and I had to make do with my own supplies. Items provided are not replenished (so the two towels available had to last the whole trip). WiFi password posted in communal areas did not work, and the shower head is faulty and immediately collapses when under pressure from water.

The lock on the room's door was barely working, WiFi wasn't working at all. The entire place smelled of rats. Didn't stay there. I expect a full refund.

A little difficult to work the door keypad but once sorted it was all ok! Bathroom bin hadn’t been emptied before we arrived, but other than that everything was tidy and clean.

• Cherish (7/5): Cheapest find in the location - It was the cheapest find in the location(as I was looking for a place near Limehouse). There was a Tesco and Lidl nearby and is 3mins from the nearest bus stop, but the neighborhood is quite away from Central London if you're in for food trips. The room was too small to move and open luggages. It was a queen sized bed for a single-bed bedroom.

• Sixsmith (5/5): Passable - Very clean room and bathroom, bed was comfortable. Felt secure and was in a decent area, good location for us as we were going to a festival nearby - we were still able to access central London quite well through the mile end tube station which is about 15 mins walk away from the property. The bathroom window was broken and was unable to close, which would have been fine but it left you visible to people below were you to have a shower. As well as this the shower head stand was broken so was pretty much unusable anyway. Only stayed one night so wasn't much of a problem but would've been very annoying if we stayed multiple nights.
