Guest Reviews
- Phillip (6/5): - Loud knock on door by staff in the morning
- Mike (10/5): - Play everything about it. No comment.
- Dean (10/5): excellent will stay again - Great little motel. Great staff. Clean and Quiet and Homelike. Would stay again. Think vintage and down to earth and you'll love this place. Worth the money ! Construction across the street but it was Sunday and quiet
- novafor (9/5): - Atención y profesionalidad del personal Necesita actualización, y mencionar al reservar el depósito que te hacen al llegar, liberación del depósito muy rápido
- Robert G (9/5): - ..a very comfortable and well-located motel! the check in process went very smoothly and the clerk immediately responded to our request for an additional blanket. the rooms are quiet, too. good value!!
- godfrey (8/5): Great motel for the price. - The owner or manager at Frontier Motel was very good. Location and price were also very good. The rooms are a little dated, but I'd put that as a plus if you consider how good the price is compared to some other motels in town, which are nearly twice as expensive.
- Andrew (5/5): Friendly, clean, and economical option, but don’t expect any sense of luxury. - We were headed from the Four Corners area to Taos. Frontier was a perfect location to stop. The motel felt like it had been there forever and looked like the only economical choice in the area. The room was clean and comfortable. The facility was very worn and dated. We had to ask the front desk for a hair dryer. Though the staff was very friendly, we received a voicemail (cell service is spotty around there) the same day of our arrival that the motel office was closing early (it was Easter Sunday).
- Julie Blair (8/5): - A clean inexpensive stay on Rt 66
- Stephen (10/5): -
- Becky (8/5): Very nice overall. - The price of a night’s stay is very economical. The in room amenities were nice. The mattress was somewhat hard and difficult to get comfortable.
- barbara (7/5): -
- Luis (7/5): -
- Maxine (9/5): Nice stay. - The room was comfy and clean. The breakfast was ok. The worker there was excellent.
- Julie (1/5): Will not return - Location was about it Dirty. First room we were given the TV didn’t work so the moved us. Second room toilet did not flush. It’s was dusty, dirty, stinky, and itchy.
- Cheryl (5/5): If I go through there again I would likely go back and stay. Just not that close to the road - Staff was friendly and accommodating. Towels were amazing. Soap for the shower. Front blind broken so someone could see in the room. TV remote probably needed batteries and right next to the main thoroughfare for large trucks which passed by alot. Heater came on and was the noisiest and annoying sounds and loud.
- Douglas Hillier (9/5): Frontier Motel is terrific - The room is a good size. Gas station and convenience store is across the street. Coffee maker did not work.

- Gary (4/5): Room was gross - Staff didn’t bother too much Room was filthy, way too expensive for quality, water smelled, refrigerator was old and so noisy, carpets and bathroom were disgusting
- Deloras Ganadonegro (4/5): -
- Diana (9/5): - Quiet... No phone in room.
- Marie-Pierre (7/5): -
- GRAHAM (5/5): - Like a step back into the 80s other than a flat screen tv. Reception wanted more than price on booking.com so I booked it on app in lobby. Seemed bit short sighted of them. The food places in walking distance close early on a Sunday. Room was fine just dated. Staff attitude

- Badon (8/5): -
- alison (8/5): -
- Martin (10/5): - Passing though the region it was a good find of a place to stay ... not too expensive and reasonable. 2 things ...
first, be sure you will arrive when office is open ... no real orher choices in the area if your late.
Second ... not motels fault but a low-quality McDonalds seems to be the only food in the area at night .. so, be ready for that
- Cissy (9/5): -
- Vicki (6/5): Everything great except the vacuum and mop needed doing - Good hot shower, comfy bed surprisingly quiet Unfortunately needed a vacuum and mop the bathroom full of long hairs on the tiles .and some candy wrappers in corner .
- Mark (8/5): -
- MeriMon78 (7/5): Semplice - Camera semplice, pulita con macchinetta per il caffè e forno a microonde. Aggiungerei un'aspirazione in bagno visto che la finestra è bloccata.
- Noel (9/5): Fan ! - We had a great time in Cuba.
- Birgit (7/5): Functional - It was in a convenient location for our travel plans. Some else parked in the parking spot in front of our hotel room.
- Zoltan (9/5): - Flexible arrangement.
- Patricia (6/5): -
- Tomasz (6/5): -
- FRED (8/5): - It was close to where we were getting together with family.
- Samuel (7/5): Good -
- Sheryl (6/5): Pleasant - Not bad, but strangest hours on a motel. Not very clean, crumbs. No ice. It was an old motel and it showed. Room was small.
- Shawn (5/5): Passable -
- Christopher (5/5): Good place to sleep and reasonably priced. - Very retro feeling. Love the original sign. Rooms were very basic.
- Frank (8/5): Very good -
- Dale (9/5): For an older property in Cuba, the Frontier provides a clean comfortable respite. Staff was very helpful! - Good location for our trip. It is an older property.
- Robert (6/5): Decent hotel, but a bit expensive for the desolate area. - While it's an older hotel, it is still in pretty nice shape. The most annoying thing was the rude receptionist trying to chastise me for some imagined slight. Don't like working with people, maybe you should quit. She was just rude and annoying and shouldn't be working in a customer service dept.
- Carl (6/5): Pleasant - Had to ask for coffee pods
- Debbie (9/5): Superb - Friendly welcome. The room had everything I needed and was really clean. A bit old school but then it matches the Marquee outside. Support, smaller businesses, and small town that are working hard for our business. Not everywhere needs a fancy stay.
- Sam (9/5): Superb -
- Chris (8/5): Very good - Charming room, good heater
- Dawn (2/5): This was one of the saddest, oldest, dirtiest rooms I've stayed in. - I liked the size of the shower and the water pressure. There was plenty of hot water. The heat worked, and there was a refrigerator and microwave. The TV worked. The room and bathroom needed a good scrubbing. It was dirty in so many places. The bathroom had no outlet. The bedding was rough, the there wasn't enough of it - the sheets and blanket were so thin. The two pillows were extremely flat. The lighting was poor - there were no bedside lamps.
For $90.00 we got nothing but a dirty and old room for the night.
- Margaret (9/5): Superb - Location and price
- Charlie (1/5): Awful - Next door were playing loud music, we could hear them talking and laughing loudly most of the night. We didn't get any sleep! Tried calling the front desk kept going to voicemail.
- Tina (1/5): Filthy!!!! - That it was available late at night. It was filthy, I asked the attendant who checked us in if the room was clean based on the place we stayed the night before. He assured me it was spotless, comfortable and safe. Well it was not. Safe, yes we did feel safe but that was it! The room itself was run down and filthy! Also not well stocked and the heat didn't work. We had 1/2 roll of TP upon check in, no tissue, the coffee pot didn't work, the heat came on but would not blow the heat out so it was hot by the heater and cold in the rest of the room. The walls, floor and all other surfaces were dirty. Coffee spilled down the wall not from us cause like I said the coffee pot did not work so it was left from a previous guest. The floors were gross, there was a bloody piece of gauze on the floor. The hot water for the shower took about 10 mins to start working we had almost given up on taking showers and when I did I wore my flip-flops in because I was not going barefoot anywhere in that room. The sheets were scratchy and the beds had plastic covers on them that the sheets kept sliding off of. Got zero sleep! Very dissapointed in this place. I would not recommend staying here.
- Roy (9/5): I was pleasantly surprised by our clean and comfortable stay. - Friendly service. Clean, comfortable, warm, quiet, and convenient for exploring the area.
- Matthew (7/5): Good -
- Joel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karl (7/5): Good -
- Davis (8/5): Quiet and peaceful stay surrounded by beautiful mountains. Local restaurants were delicious! - Cuba NM has only two motels and this is one of them. It’s super clean and very basic. It has everything you need except an iron. I enjoyed my stay. I wish there would have been an additional lock on the door. I am a female traveling alone and would have liked a deadbolt.
- Constance (3/5): Poor -
- Margaret (3/5): Ok for a stop when your not picky and need a bed - If you want a bed for the night it’s ok. Like stepping back to the 50’s. No plug in in bathroom It definitely needs updating and newer furniture. Very old style like the 50’s
- Rose (6/5): Quiet, close to my destination where I working - The staff member that I dealt with was very friendly and helpful Unfortunately, there was no power on my last day. Due to a winter storm
- Sonja (9/5): Superb -
- Chris (7/5): CUBA without the hassle! - A straight forward, old style motel. Simple, clean, comfortable. It does exactly what it says on the tin!! If you;'re passing thro Cuba and need a place to stay Frontier Motel can be recommended.
- Alejandro (7/5): Good -
- John (7/5): okay - We arrived early and the iendly owner helped sort us out before reception opened at midday. The room needed a deep clean ie in corners and behind furniture - not a big deal if you're only staying a night.bThe motel was short a member of staff, so receptionist always seemed stressed out. room had old carpet, only one bedside table, only one chair as if a queen bed is for one person..
- Loza (7/5): It was a good stay it just needs to be upgraded - Quiet Everything is old
- Leblanc (7/5): It was a good stop over. - Hotel was clean and also in a place close to restaurants. Nothing to complain about, great place for a one night stay.
- Juan (8/5): Very good -
- Herskowitz (8/5): Very good -
- Charles (9/5): Great little roadside motel ! - Clean comfortable room. Good hot water and pressure in the shower.. The towels were very good for inexpensive lodging . Excellent location for a stay after visiting Chaco Canyon. The office doesn't open until noon. The coffee in the room was mediocre at best.
- Martha (1/5): Nasty filthy room - Nothing Our room- Dirty, old, spiders, cracks, no shower curtain, no privacy for shower and restroom when taking a shower and another needs to use the restroom. They don’t give you access to your room even if you let them know late middle of the night check in, they don’t care. They control availability.
- Martha (1/5): Never will return - Nothing People rude, doesn’t care, no housekeeping even if you request. But their good to threaten you to make you leave. Marijuana smoke in room
- Joseph (3/5): Probably won’t stay here again due to dirty mess of room. - Location Room was dirty. There was spiders in the room. The coffee pot was moldy upon arrival. There was mold all over the roof in the bathroom. There was broken light bulbs on the fixtures. There wasn’t any trash bags in the bins or at all in the whole place. The dishes that were available were put away dirty with left over dried up food on them.
- Austin (8/5): Very good -
- Simon (8/5): Very good -
- Barbara (9/5): If we were to come back to Cuba we would stay in this same room again. - the location was great for the event we were attending. The queen bed was too firm, almost like it had a board for support.
- Paul (5/5): Passable - well located for my trip dated facilities, but I expected that. Road noise, and fellow guests coming and going at all hours meant I didnt get much sleep.
- Robert (5/5): The hotel of last resort - The only hotel in the town Dirty sheets, and generally worn out. The sheets were clearly not washed!! I had to cover the sheets with towels. I would have left but it was late and there weren't any rooms available because of the balloon festival
- Deon (7/5): overall comfortable - Liked that there was cable Hot water heater went out and had only cold water one morning.
- Allen (7/5): Good -
- Sabine (6/5): Nice little town. We came to watch a rodeo. - Carped was filthy and toilet didn‘t flush good. Not enough plugs for electronics to load. Entrence door hard to lock. The location was ok. The towels were very nice. Enough soap to use.
- Marla (4/5): It'll do in a pinch. - Looks decent enough on the surface, but lots of grime in the corners and odd bathroom layout. For nearly $100 with pet fee, expected something a little better. Filthy AC, dirty window ledges, undusted hanging fixtures, grimy baseboards, awkward bathroom.
- David (2/5): Very poor - very dark I had to ask for a lamp dark
- Andrea (9/5): Surprisingly awesome! - We had a fully equipped kitchen with everything we needed. There was even a private patio where we had coffee and breakfast. It was surprisingly nice. The staff gave us cold water bottles when we arrived. It was very welcoming and I would have liked to have stayed longer.. Wifi was weak in the evening but probably because everyone was on it at that time. Morning was better.
- Sally (4/5): Disappointing - it was reasonably cheap there was a coffee machine but no cups or coffee or tea. the bathroom had a huge spider web in the windows and a big dead bug o. the floor. The lady on duty was very overwhelmed and not very helpful. I asked if I could borrow a hairdryer and they didn't have one.
- Jeff (8/5): Very good - Convenient location and early check-in
- Hewitt (7/5): Good -
- Kristin (4/5): Big disappointment - The patio is a bonus but we didn't have time to use it the bathroom was OK. The beds were very firm which we liked. There were only two towels for two queen beds. The kitchen was supposedly fully equipped but was not at all. There was a little coffee maker but with no coffee packets or anything to make coffee. There were a few dishes But nothing to wash them with. No dish detergent, dish cloth or sponge, kitchen towel or paper towels.
The large old vent in the small room was emitting warm air even when the entire system was shut off. We opted to open the window to cool it down since it was a hot day but people outside were too loud so we suffered in the heat since the AC unit is in the other room.
