Guest Reviews
- Thomas (10/5): - Location, animals, friendly hosts , super comfy beds , secure parking , local wildlife walks
- Simon (10/5): -
- Jacob (10/5): Brilliant host, would stay again - Fantastic setting
- dawn (10/5): - The owners are very nice and extremely friendly, nothing is too much trouble, it's very peaceful and relaxing environment. We stayed in a 2 bedroom cottage that was quite spacious and well equipped. There wasn't anything I didn't like.
- jack (10/5): fantastic spot for our family - We were on an actually farm and the family were lovely and very welcoming. The dogs on site were very friendly and enjoyed belly rubs from the kids. We were even shown around the stables and met the horses.
the shower was very hot and water was plentiful. The hosts left breakfast items in the kitchen for us which made our stay easier.
The beds were extremely comfortable and we slept amazingly. Nothing.
- Viktoria (10/5): -
- Lee (10/5): - All round beautiful place Absolutely beautiful place to stay the staff are lovely the animals are beautiful all round excellent place to stay
- Lisa (10/5): - Everything was perfect Nothing
- Maria Coombes (8/5): Lovely place to stay - We found the stay to be very peaceful, comfortable, and suitable for what we needed. The bedrooms and beds were a great size, very comfy. Showroom was clean, and the shower worked perfectly. I appreciated that the hosts had left complimentary biscuits for us to enjoy, as well as leaving bread and cereal for our breakfasts.
The goats, chickens, dogs and cat were also very cute and the property was easily accessible with a private number to open the main gate. The only thing was, it gets a little chilly in the living room area in the evening. There is a heating button, but it says '2 bedroom' on the gadget, so I wasn't sure if that meant it was controlling the heating only in the bedrooms and not the living room area, but I couldn't seem to get it warmed up in there. But we managed to make do with small blankets we found in the living room cupboard. Also, there was no kitchen roll available. But neither of these points are too bad, just little things to note.
- John (10/5): - Julie and Kit were super friendly and helpful
Very well stocked with provisions/breakfasts/welcome basket
Excellent location, just off A1 but very rural
We loved the friendly farm animals
Very high standard of accommodation/furniture/beds Nothing!
- Kristy (9/5): A country treasure. - It was so lovely to be in a rural setting and not in a hotel. Julie was lovely and suggested some great places to visit including the seals at Donny Nook, what an amazing experience. The setting for the cottage with the goats near by was so lovely. Felt very safe and the cottage was well equipped for our 2 night stay. Nothing it was great.
- Dave (10/5): overall it was perfect for what i wanted. Close to where i was over the weekend, very helpful owners - Breakfast was good lots to choose from inc fruit beard and milk all on arrival the only thing that i didn't like and it was a minor thing was the shower cubical was a little small. Im not a large guy at all but found the door tight to get in and out
- Lee (10/5): - The place and staff are lovely such a blessed weekend here

- Thomas (6/5): A bit down-nmarket for the price charged. Location was good, getting into the gate was tricky - we brought our pwn The place was a bit window-less, and the layout a bit odd. Lots of animals everywhere, they werent mentioned ion the ad
- Nicola (10/5): Lovely stay - Lovely location, situated just outside the beautiful village of Collingham.
The lovely owners Julie and Kit were very friendly and welcoming. Anything at all, they were there to help.
Loved the animals on site, the goats, the chickens, and the 2 dogs.
The fresh eggs in the cottage were amazing. Loved the extra little touches of having cereal and fresh fruit.

- Amanda (10/5): Wonderful cottage in stunning location - Location peaceful yet horses, goats and dogs around which I loved. Quality of furnishings and facilities in the cottage. Some of the basics of food and drink was there which was great. Nothing really, all good
- Aubrey (10/5): Excellent hosts, clean and spacious, beautiful location - Everything!!!! Nothing!!!!
- John (10/5): Exceptional - Clean and tidy. Fully equipped
- Amanda (3/5): Very disappointing, not worth the money and unwelcoming - The location was fine for us as it was near to Newark Showground where we were exhibiting. They claim they didn’t know we’d booked, despite Booking.Com sending us confirmation and despite paying in advance. We couldn’t access the property due to the ridiculous electric gates which you cannot buzz through to the house and attract someone’s attention. As we later found out, these only open with a phone number which you have to dial every time to get in and out. Sometimes it took 5 attempts to get this to work. On arrival, it took time to get through on the phone and when we did the welcome was hardly friendly. One of my party was offended by a comment regarding their attire and I was offended by a comment about my disability. It was 21.30 and we had to wait 30 minutes for them to change the beds and give the place a basic clean and from this experience we found out that this place is a long-term let during the week. We were told not to touch the resident’s PC and equipment, which we had no intention of doing. We had to share the bedroom with someone else’s belongings including underwear and other clothes in the drawers and a dirty sock under the wardrobe. In the kitchen, the dishwasher was still loaded with dishes and the fridge and the cupboards still had food in them. I suppose we were fortunate that as they had been eating dinner in the same restaurant as us, as one of my party remembered them, then we were lucky they were in. We were supposed to have breakfast but none was provided the first morning. There was no key to lock the accommodation, which meant that we had to take all of our belongings with us. We slept poorly as the beds were extremely uncomfortable and the rooms hot. The windows open in a strange way, but there were no instructions so we had to suffer it the first night. We wanted to go somewhere else after the first night, but unfortunately the area was busy, so we ended up stuck here. I mislaid my blue badge - it must have fell out of the car door pocket in the rain when we arrived.
- Sarah (7/5): Good -
- Gary (10/5): Relaxing, enjoyable and excellent location and value for money. - Everything about the place is amazing. The owners are very friendly plus the location is excellent to relax and unwind. You will not find a better place to stay anywhere in my opinion. Nothing could have been better everything is perfect
- Caroline (10/5): Exceptional - Really roomy. Beautiful place with super friendly hosts
