Guest Reviews
- MUHAMMAD HAZIQ (9/5): -
- Gloria Binti (8/5): Overall, it was a comfortable stay that met our basic needs. As we mainly used the room for sleeping at night, it served - Great location! Close to attractions, easy access to bus and subway, and lots of food nearby. While the room was very clean and well-maintained, the soundproofing could be improved as noise from outside or nearby rooms was noticeable. There was also a slight odor in the bathroom at times.
- Maria Sira (8/5): - Vicinissimo in centro La doccia
- Akçakaya (1/5): - Sadece yeri güzel Aşırı bakımsız .
- Ayhan Efecan (1/5): - Konumu güzel ancak kalanı 0. Temizlik diye bir şey yoktu. Berbat ötesi kokuyordu kimseye tavsiye etmem.
- Arru (6/5): - Excellent position The walls are very thin and you will hear everything from the other rooms and the garden
- 蔷 (10/5): -
- ZOKIR (5/5): -
- Lukáš (3/5): No soundproof walls! - Nice location near the Myeondong metro station - walls are not soundproof, you can hear every single word that somebody from the next room says
- Airil Haziq (8/5): -
- mabelle (9/5): -
- Jose (9/5): - Value for money. Great location!
If you're looking for a convenient and budget-friendly stay in Seoul, Namsan Hideout is a great choice. Here’s why:
Location: The spot couldn’t be better! It’s just a quick walk to the train station, so getting around is super easy. Plus, you’re right next to the lively Myeongdong night market—perfect for grabbing street food and doing some late-night shopping.
Price: The rates are really reasonable, great for anyone looking to save a bit without sacrificing convenience.
Overall, Namsan Hideout offers excellent value for its prime location and reasonable price, as long as you’re okay with a compact room. Room Size: The room is on the smaller side, ideal for one or two people. If you’re after a cozy place to crash, this works well.
- Mirza (4/5): - The location is convenient, hotel is clean It's actually a good stay if you fix your air conditioner (air cond was leaking badly during my stay), properly install air conditioner drain line (not just using a water bottle but proper pipeline to drain condensate water) and provide separate shower hose (Shower hose is shared with the sink's tap). To improve your Air conditioner and bathroom facilities.
- Carmen (7/5): -
- Amber (7/5): - Very close to the central area Small
- BERAT FERHAT (4/5): Rahatlık, temizlik aramayanlar gidebilir. Maalesef kötüydü. - 1- Sadece valizlerimiz için yardımcı oldular.
2- Konum güzel 1- Kirliydi, örümcek ağları vardı. Eşyalar eskiydi.
2- Çok çok küçük oda
3- Yatak rahat değildi.
4- Havlular temiz değildi. Lekeler vardı.
- John (4/5): Small somewhat noisy room in great location - Location is good, checking in convenient. Room cleaned each day. Room is quite small and was always noisy. The sound shielding from other rooms is very minimal, but there were also constantly noisy air conditioners and so on outside. Not a bad experience overall, still slept fine.
- AGNIESZKA (4/5): - Lokalizacja Zbyt mała przestrzeń
- Mame Diarra (8/5): - . .
- Matthias (7/5): -
- Francois (3/5): Don’t have high expectation - Well located The pictures and the bedroom are totally different. It’s difficult to get hot water once you take a shower, the room was so small and little dirty.
The mattress is soooo hard… definitely harder than sleeping on the floor.
- Mary Grace Panes (7/5): location is very good,i think need little put decoration to their rooms make more comfortable to stay - location wise poor soundproofing
- Marielle (6/5): Pleasant - Proximity to Myeongdong Space, but you get what you paid for.
- Gerson (8/5): EXCELLENT👌 - Cozy. Easy to reach though uphill from Myeongdong subway station. I had a great stay! I suggest the TV should be mounted on the wall below the AC unit to add more space in the room (Room 104).
- Zandria (5/5): GOOD - ACCESSIBLE SOUNDPROOF SYSTEM. WE'RE JUST TALKING BUT SOMEONE ALREADY KNOCKED.
- Mr. (8/5): Good place. Good price - Location and atmosphere of the place. Too thin walls. I was listening my neighbors talk.
- Jing (2/5): It was one of the worst stay we had so far - Nothing The room is very small, air conditioning / heating doesn’t work and we weren’t informed beforehand. There is only a small window in the bathroom, poor ventilation. Bed was stained and hard. Towels provided were stained too.
- Azura (7/5): Manageable. - Overall stay is okay.Went there for my birthday trip on February its cold so we didnt even have to use the AC. Wifi is good. Theres a mart near the guesthouse. And walkable distance to the subway and bus station. The space is quite small but enough for 2 person or 1 person as for the room i booked. Not advisable if you have a lot of luggages. Beware of bed bugs cause i got bitten and also got rashes all over my body maybe because i was sensitive with the detergent that they used for their towels and bedsheet. The tv also cant be use. The walls are very thin you can hear everyone’s business which includes the snoring 😂 Its also located very up at the hill. So its a free workout throughout your stay.
- Panlaqui (8/5): Very good - I like the home feel The location kinda high
- Ayuri (10/5): Exceptional -
- Manon (2/5): Convenient location but very uncomfortable - Location and drinking water machine. Many stains on walls and the bathroom is full of mold. The shower is in the middle of the bathroom so everything gets wet. The worst part was that you could not control the heating from your room, so the first 3 nights the floor heating was very high which was not comfortable to sleep and the last two nights the central heating stopped working (so all rooms were without heating) and it was -16 at night outside. There is no staff there so we contacted them about it and the next day in the evening they gave us a small portable heater because they could not fix the problem yet. The small heater helped a bit but the building is not well isolated and it was still very very cold.
- Farah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tran (8/5): Very good -
- Tan (6/5): Pleasant - Very convenient location, fast replies from host! Toilet didnt have heating, therefore itll be very cold in the toilet in winter. Walls were very thin as well!
- Hisyam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mai (7/5): Good - It is quite clean and I can checkin earlier. The room is small but I think it is ok with the price Location is really bad, it is high, very tired to get there. Make sure you have a good health before book it.
- Jenilynn (7/5): Good -
- Nikolaos (5/5): Passable - Great location.
Good price Too much moisture, the air-condition was really filthy, I doubt it was ever been cleaned, it's the first time I was in a hotel that I could hear EVERYTHING from the other rooms, even persons sneazing...
Too small room, barely had space for our luggage.
The price was great though, I guess you win some you lose some.
- Margherita (8/5): Cozy and cute spot in the heart of Seoul - Central position and welcoming room!
Full of services and very compfy :) The bathroom was usually quite west after washing the hands or having a shower, being on the same level
It was a bit noisy at night, walls are quite thin - but not a big deal :)
- Laurel (4/5): Good location but sleepless nights. - Good location, near to Myeon-dong subway station and near to Myeon-dong popular shopping area. The bed was hard and very uncomfortable. The room not terribly clean - the walls in particular marked with dirt and in particular greasy head/hair stains above the bedhead. The main problem with this accommodation is that the walls are paper-thin - noise carries through the walls so much so I had sleepless nights - a guest in the room on one side of me snored like a grizzly bear in hibernation all night long, it was ridiculous, and guests in the room on the other side had animated conversations through to 3.30am - every word flowed through loudly into my room. Guests using the bathroom during the night - their flushing toilet was like trying to sleep to the sound of Niagara Falls. Guests returning to the hotel late at night - the noise thundered through the walls into my room. If you wish to sleep at night, do not stay in this hotel. The paper-thin walls which meant there was too much noise to be able to sleep at night.
- Azlizam (7/5): I dont know what to summarize - Near to public transportation Sound proof- can hear people snoring and talking at night.
- Nad (9/5): Superb -
- Jimmy (6/5): Pleasant -
- Sophy23 (7/5): Good location! - Location was great! The road up to Namsam Hideout from Myeongdong.
- Maryam (10/5): Lovely stay in Namsan Hideout - It was clean and there was everything I needed. I enjoyed my stay. They even let me check in much earlier. It was very kind of them. I have no complaints
- G.w.m (10/5): Best choice to visit Seoul - So friendly & helpfull manager. Great location on Myeon-Dong which is the heart of city of all. When we come back we definately choose the same place We dont have any negative experience
- Marie (8/5): Very good -
- Gertrudes (9/5): We had a nice stay tho it is a bit uphill - The cleanliness and abundance of water.also, the owner was so prompt in answering my queries It is uphill so my legs hurt
- Ines (10/5): Exceptional - Location
Space in the bedroom
TV and wifi with Netflix/Disney+/You tube
Water fountain and fridge
Slippers and now for shoes
Everything was available and prepared for a good time. The owner is fast to answer for any questions
- Edwick (7/5): It was still a great stay. A cozy private room for solo travellers. - The location was exquisite. It was between Myeongdong station and Namsan Cable Car. There was a convenience store nearby too. The bed was adequate, not bad. The bathroom was clean. I was not able to watch something on their provided TV. Tried troubleshooting but I gave up. The walls are thin so I can hear people from the other room. The price can be lowered down a bit for that cause.
- Yasmin (5/5): Passable -
- Masekake (9/5): Superb - That the owner allowed us to check in early than usual and he was very kind, helpful. Great location too. Nothing
- Mary (10/5): Ten out of ten would recommend - Very convenient
- David (1/5): I stayed 1 night because I had to. Wc smelled of sewage with drain fly infestation - Nothing Everything
- Christine (10/5): I highly recommend namsan hide out. The host is very kind and grant my request. - It is conveniently located in the nearby stores where we can buy foods None
- Nantana (9/5): Superb -
- Shi (7/5): Good -
- Zann (6/5): extremely basic - it was extremely basic and not worth the price.
- Claire (4/5): Disappointing - Location was great, self check in was handy. Room was very small, shower was a wet room, no common area
- Bimo (8/5): Very good -
- Nguyên (8/5): Very good -
- Nik (10/5): Exceptional - Literally everything!, great location, great facilities
- Gemmaima (8/5): Thanks Dongwon! - Good location 👍
- Abdullah (9/5): Superb -
- Heena (5/5): Passable -
- Cameron (8/5): Good place to stay in a great location - Rooms were clean. Location is awesome, 5 min walk into Myeongdong market with loads of food and drink options, and a 10-15 min walk to start of the Seoul tower trail. Owner was friendly, responsive and helpful over email and text. AC works very well. Nice outdoor area with some seating if you get any takeaway food. Overall, a good place to stay if you're visiting Seoul for a few days, and price is super cheap. Bed is classic Korean bed which is quite hard versus what we get back home, took some getting used to. Walls between rooms are very thin - we had some disturbance but in fairness the owner sorted it out very promptly. Shower is connected to sink so bathroom gets drenched when you shower. Rooms is v small.
- Zeedane (10/5): Amazing stay with great staff who let me have a late checkout for a small fee - Spectacular location very close to Myeongdong station (on a hill so a bit of a walk if you have luggage) slightly small and could use a bidet
- David (7/5): Good enough if you’re going just to sleep - Close to the city centre My bedsheets had a stain which made it look dirty.
- Glenn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Faizadzha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cherrie (2/5): Disgusting - Nothing The bed is worn out bed spring are all out. Comforter is worn out. The room are dirty not confortable at all
- Martha (6/5): Pleasant - Good location in the middle of the city by a metro station and shops, but not noisy. Cheap option for the location. Bed was very hard, the bathroom smelled like sewage constantly and the walls are so thin you can hear every conversation in the room next door
- Nic (9/5): Superb -
- Nele (1/5): Bad - Close to Seoul Tower. Room was incredible small, smaller than shown.(room 106) Great for solo travelers that just need a bed to sleep/store their goods. Bathroom was so small you varely could fit in. Couldn't open my carrier and walls were paper-thin. Also very uphill so keep that in mind. We left the first night and rebooked another hotel.
- Nyamkhuu (3/5): Poor -
- Anna (6/5): Pleasant - The staff was friendly and helpful - we were able to check in 1 hour earlier. The position is also quite comfortable - very central. The place was dirty. There was too much dust under the bed and the washbasin was absolutely clogged, so that I couldn't wash the face normally... The most terrible aspect of being there was the absolute absence of sound insulation. It seems that you can hear everything around. In the evening the woman from the next door came to us and asked not to talk because her children were sleeping.... So you pay money and can't even speak or watch TV in your room but have to listen to someone snoring instead...
- Benjamin (6/5): Great location, awful mattress. - Amazing location, with overall great value for money. They really need new mattresses!! We got a spring mattress which felt like it was from the 80s. We still managed to get a good night's sleep but if you've a sensitive back I wouldnt recommend!
- Indah (8/5): Very good -
- Medina (10/5): Exceptional - Good location. Enough amenities like a water dispenser and a refrigerator. Mattress was a bit stiff.
- Kerygma (8/5): Very good -
- Thom (8/5): Cozy room and perfect location! - Cozy room with enough space if you're traveling with multiple bags. The owner is super friendly and helpfull, when we asked if he had an extra blanket to make the matrass a bit softer, he arranged it instantly. Also gave us many tips on what to do in South Korea! Matrass is very hard. It would be nice to have an extra layer, and then It would have been a 9 for sure. But an extra blanket did the job as well.
- Merano (6/5): Pleasant -
- Sw (5/5): Cozy. Clean. Simple. Good for budget travel and near a lot of attractions and shopping. - Namsan Hideout is in a great location near Myeongdong, Namsan Tower, and Namdaemun Market. Access to transportation is nearby for bus or metro. Also, it is not far from Insadong, Palaces, and the Cheonggyecheon Stream. Manager Dongwon was quick to respond to my inquires and was very professional. The room is simple, basic, clean, and very warm, especially from the artic wave. Its a good place to stay for budget travel. Walls are a bit thin. I heard my neighbors talking until 3 am. I banged on the wall several times and that didn't stop them from lowering their voices.
- Terry (10/5): Exceptional - The staff are so nice Nothing
- Rachel (8/5): Very good -
- Marionds (5/5): Passable - very good location, easy check in / check out very thin walls, very firm mattress could feel the springs inside the mattress, very small room
- Pongsakorn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rebecca (4/5): Disappointing - The location was good.
- Sanja (9/5): Superb -
- Muhammad (8/5): Very satisfied and worth the price - It is worth the price because it is located in the center and there are many tourists around. Facilities are also close and easily accessible. Quite a comfortable area to rest and relax. Hot water and heater are also available this winter. A place that is quite hidden and quite difficult to find. There is no physical staff because the staff only communicate online.
